WWE Star in Hot Water After Slurs Against Middle Easterners and Gays

TMZ: WWE star Chris Jericho was at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival two weeks ago ... for a screening of a movie in which he appears. During a Q&A session, Jericho referred to the moderator several times as "Hadji" -- a term sometimes used as a racial slur against Middle Easterners. After the first wave of slurs -- and a random shot at Paris Hilton -- the host jokingly takes Jericho's drink to sniff it for booze, when Chris chimes back, "it's apple juice ... fag."

And sooooo….?

Commieobamie   November 6th, 2009 - 10:08 pm

So? Politically Correct IS Totally Wrong!

Commieobamie   November 6th, 2009 - 10:18 pm

Sorry, I can’t resist. Once explaining to my Boss about the workings of computers, I had to explain about the Master and Slave componets. (Anyone that knows about computers will understand this) He told me that I needed to be more politically correct in “this” day and age and not refer to them as “master” and “slave” drives or componets. I tried to explain that these are accurate technical terms, but he and the other managers insisted. Hence, for 15 years I have stated the phrase “Politically Correct IS Totally Wrong!” I liked this specific Boss, but in this case “WHAT a DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

First they say you can’t make fun of the god-d*mned Jews, then you can’t make fun of the Blacks, then the Middle Easterners. And then they wanted to make fun of Whites and they said “wait, we want to hang on to that one.”

Okay, and this is a story? No one is going to change people’s views, sorry. The New Thought Police can shove it.

john   November 6th, 2009 - 11:15 pm

Yes I agree with Robbie K.

One thinks that publicizing homophobic and racist behavior will punish the perptraitors and deter others from the punishment they will face in the media.

But in fact it may ignite hate against the intended victim even further by the public that is being exposed to the incident in the first place.

By observing the incident and the fallout the pubic is reminded of their capacity for their instinctual behavior and its consequences…They are reminded of their instinctual behaviors and the resentment they feel for having these instincts, AND being punished for it.

Why else would the media bring to light such non sense continuously…

There is a thin line between instinct and civility…Some people hover over that line with great frequency…

What is the point of the story?
Are we to boycott WWE as a result of this? Maybe send a couple of nasty letters of protest to WWE?
I think not!!

Jericho acted like an adolescent – so what, he does that for a living. Big deal, who cares, and get over it. Just flip him the bird, call him an a$$hole and be done with it.

Chris   November 6th, 2009 - 11:50 pm

Oh no! This is horrible. Are you meaning to tell me that professional wrestlers aren’t racially sensitive, politically correct push-overs? What’s next, are you going to tell me that George Carlon uses the “F” word?

james   November 7th, 2009 - 1:02 am

Oh yes AMERICANS must be sensitive to others, while we are attacked on our own soil by Terrorist MUSLIMS! AMERICANS are the only ones who are treated like Criminals in our own country….Having to show I’d’s for everything we do, Prove who we are when Opening a bank acct, or opening a credit card. Prove we Carry Auto Insurance, Show BIRTH Records when Entering the Military, Show Passports to leave and enter this country..YET Illegals, do NONE of the ABOVE..

The current presidential Admin, stopped from using the Term War on Terror, and apologized to Muslim nations for OUR ARROGANCE..perhaps nobama should have apologized for his Arrogance!
SINCE the ATTACK on 9-11 Americans are suppose to be vigilant in reporting any odd occurances…and odd behavior..YET when we do..WE are called RACISTS! It is articles like this WWE STAR, that make you wonder where the Freedom of Speech RIGHT has gone too? Muslims have the rights to say anything they wish, CAIR organization who is as CORRUPT as Acorn, defends actions of Muslims..YET We CITIZENS of OUR OWN COUNTRY are suppose to be Hushed and sat in a corner..while our Country is inflitrated by ones who want to kill us!

Fire the idiot!   November 7th, 2009 - 10:35 am

This guy isn’t drink. He is just an idiot. Words have consequences. Let him find a job where he doesn’t have to deal with people. Every business has a right to control its employees even the WWE. If this was a planned ploy, then say so. Otherwise lose the loser.

Andrea   November 8th, 2009 - 8:03 am

So they are a protected groups! But take your best swing at Christians and conservatives. Do I need to talk about moderates being targeted.

Andrea   November 8th, 2009 - 8:08 am

I am not offended, I have heard far worse being slung at Christians, Republicans, and Moderates. I do mean on national tv, events. A joke, just a freaking joke that this is something to get offended by. But you libs tell me that I am not suppose to be offended when someone who is Jewish, supposedly pees on a picture of Jesus, and ITS ALL GOOD FUN. DOUBLE STANDARDS, DOUBLE STANDARDS, DOUBLE STANDARDS!

Eddie   November 11th, 2009 - 6:21 pm

Yeah, let’s get back to the old days when you could offend anyone and take it back in your own face as well! I too vote against political correctness. Who needs it?
