World’s Strongest Boy Smashes Record With Incredible Series of Air Push-Ups

Ananova: Romanian Giuliano Stroe - who has been trained by his gymnast dad Iulian since he could walk - stunned TV viewers in his homeland by almost doubling the current world record of 12. The body-building youngster pulled off 20 of the special press ups - where the legs never touch the floor - before stopping.

The kid’s like, “Of course, I did 20 push-ups. Daddy beats me when I don’t.”

Bob   February 24th, 2010 - 11:21 am

I have seen other videos of this kid. His dad has him lifting way too heavy weights for his age. He had him doing overhead dumbell presses which can have an adverse effect on his spine at his young age.

Anyway, that kid is going to be messed up in the head. You notice he did not smile at all.

matchofthecentury   February 24th, 2010 - 11:25 am

Pay-per-view: “Epic Beard Man vs. Epic Push-up Boy” … that would be SWEET!

Maine Coast   February 24th, 2010 - 11:31 am

Let the kid be a kid, doing what kids are supposed to be doing, instead of raising your kid to be your little robot. Moron.

tsunami   February 24th, 2010 - 11:42 am

Bush showed them how to do those

meh   February 24th, 2010 - 11:42 am

5 minutes wasted!

Tom Sweet Radio   February 24th, 2010 - 11:49 am

Am I wrong or does that kid look apprehensive and even afraid to fail or say the wrong thing- has daddy taught him not to smile- kids typically smile when applauded or shown attention like this- this kid has his tail between his legs. i dont trust daddy in this situation- he may be cracking the whip on this kid

NewOrleansAnn   February 24th, 2010 - 12:10 pm

Tom, I agree. I would guess he’s only 4-5 years old. What a sad little boy.

in the end   February 24th, 2010 - 12:33 pm

This kid will become stronger than his father and probably break his neck one day.

ron   February 24th, 2010 - 1:08 pm

Daddy’s little paycheck

Johnny Rotten   February 24th, 2010 - 2:01 pm

I got a real funny feeling watching that poor kid…this stinks of child abuse for sure!

Kristian   February 24th, 2010 - 3:05 pm

There are two things in this world that I hate. Those who are bigoted and intolerant of other peoples… And Romanians.

wotan   February 24th, 2010 - 3:05 pm

That’s nothing, man. I did 22 pushups in 6 weeks.

Golly_G   February 24th, 2010 - 3:18 pm

Kid knows he is being used. Doesn’t want to be treated like this. Doesn’t know how to communicate this. Sad.

mila   February 24th, 2010 - 3:23 pm

That was awful to watch. That little boy’s viens are popping out of his arms… so gross.

SueSue   February 24th, 2010 - 4:34 pm

Someone needs to investigate this father immediately. The child seems more like a puppet than a child.

JBnID   February 24th, 2010 - 4:51 pm

From the same people that brings you toothless dancing bears.
Another robot ‘entertainer’.

infinitefreedom   February 24th, 2010 - 4:55 pm

I like the show of human strength, I think it’s beautiful. Sure, there is an incredible discipline, but the point is, people can do amazing things. & if you want to get mad about the maltreatment of children, our public schools are indoctrinating children in radical theory of state servitude. People are strong, and capable of far more than they give their selves credit for. I find it disturbing that no one recognizes human strength as a thing of beauty.

(are we so prone to celebrate weakness?)

Come on people, this is America. Take a cue from Patti Smith & sing it baby, “the people have the power to redeem the work of fools”.

Rocko   February 24th, 2010 - 5:40 pm

Reminds me of the father of “Little Hercules”. Wait for the TLC investigative special…

Bill   February 24th, 2010 - 6:07 pm

Give him steriods and teach him to speak austrian so he can replace arnold in the movies.

Don   February 24th, 2010 - 6:12 pm

Wow! I only hope this is not drug induced like “The worlds strongest Boy”. Amazing.

Mouser   February 24th, 2010 - 6:37 pm

Those boys look so sad. Their eyes remind me of balloon boy and his brother. And that dad is totally weird.

Pat   February 24th, 2010 - 8:54 pm

If only daddy had once seen the inside of a weight room. I THINK there might be something to that.

Pat   February 24th, 2010 - 8:57 pm

And he touched his feet to the ground like 5 times. So uh, the record stands.

Bawny Fwank   February 25th, 2010 - 2:13 pm

We must immediately launch an investigation. Bring that boy to me and lock the door.

Jack   February 25th, 2010 - 7:23 pm

I wish my parents had beat me when I did not practice piano. And I wish they had made me be fit, cause I sure wasn’t up to the job.

That kid’s life is sort of like Jackie Chan’s. The kid didn’t smile? So what? He’ll be an expert on fitness, strength and body movement when he’s 12.

natasha   February 25th, 2010 - 7:56 pm

This kid won’t grow taller than 5′5″. I hope his father is happy about that.

Looney   February 26th, 2010 - 9:44 am

Holy Crap, that looks hard, this kid is probably like that lil kid Lil Hercules, who was being forced to work out, and was benching like 300 pounds when he was 12,. then his father was taking away from his child because he forced the boy to do all sorts of crazy work outs.

Dave   March 4th, 2010 - 5:52 pm

Some of you are idiots. Romania is a very poor country where there are 10’s of
thousands of children who are orphans and live off meager food scraps and abuse
by others in the orphanage. They would be lucky to have basic hygiene needs
met maybe once a year. Every holiday sucks because they have no family to
spend it with except the other orphans who usually take anything of value
other might accumulate.
This kid is lucky to be alive, lucky to have a parent, and lucky to be in a
houshold that has food.
Get off your high horse. You wanna make a difference? Donate time or money to
an organization who works with kids in Romania. Otherwise, shut your hole.

Ricky Ricardo   March 6th, 2010 - 1:48 pm

I agree with Dave. Additionally, physical and academic discipline once made the USA a great nation. Now, we give little Billy time out instead of a swift smack in the butt so we don’t hurt his feelings and squash his little personality and character and the crime rate has increased in every part of the country. We keep dropping our academic standards and now some kids graduate from US high school barely capable of reading, writing and basic math. Many kids stay indoors far too much, play to many video games, watch way too much TV and do nothing physical so we have the highest obesity rate in the world. We need to get back to the basics, like this little kid, and promote physical and academic discipline and excellence.
