Glad to see they are being more reasonable with their price. Originally slated for over 100K. Still waiting for the free open air trials to begin where it is designed to go up to 9000 ft. at 60 M.P.H. and be able to fly for at least 30 minutes at full throttle. Yeah, sort of like driving. Driving is cool until you drive into power poles.

And walking. Walking is really cool until you walk off of a cliff.

And skiing. It is really cool into you ski into a tree.

And s-e-x is really cool, until you fall off of a 20 story building.

So how long will it be before some terrorist flies one into some major skyscraper and causes it to collapse at free fall speed?

I remember seeing the rocket propelled jetpack on reruns of gilligans island and lost in space and thinking how neat it would be to have one.Just being able to glide along a foot off the ground would be great for people who have trouble walking.They need to figure out how to reduce the size of the unit and keep enough thrust to make it more practical for commuter use.

jetpack + ice = death
jetpack + strong winds = death
jetpack + low visibility = death
jetpack + single engine failure = death
jetpack + immovable object + death
jetpack = bad idea

This is the closest we got to a jetpack, hmm?

Jet packs have been around for decades. They all share the same fatal flaw, and it’s not safety, it’s limited range. They are great for entertaining crowds at events, but they have no real practical uses.

What if a terrorist gets one and takes out a bridge or a skyscraper.

haha yeh. It gives the term “suicide bomber” a whole new meaning. Just wait for some islamic extremists to get some of these packed with explosives.
