Why so much blame to the woman? This has been stated has involuntary, not murder. The family treats her like a malicious criminal, when it was pointed out she has had a history of taking abuse from him. This is not a crime so much as a blameless accident.

All she received in the way of a sentence for killing the guy was probation.

After reading this story the other day I read a story about a guy who tried to perform an operation on a dog and the dog ended up dead because of the chloroform – he was sentenced to 20 years.

This system is upside down.
