Well, when you put a Windows program in the hands of the Japanese, or Chinese, things aren’t going to go well. It’s probably a hardware issue and not the software. If this was a Chinese demonstration, it would have whacked out big time because it would have been an illegal bootleg copy.

LOL Windows.

I had this operating system 4 years ago, it’s known as OSX. Only real difference being OSX actually works.

Ha, that is why I went to Linux 2 years ago!!!! Let’s see, no firewall, no virus scans, no registry errors (no registry, ha ha). Linux offers FREE SOFTWARE, FREE OS UPGRADES on the average of twice a year! And for those who HAVE to have windows related programs, the appropriately named WINE will make them run.

Oh, yeah, did I mention after 2 years of not having a bloated system, my computer still boots in under a minute?

I prefer MoonOS, but download a copy of Ubuntu FOR FREE, load it on a cd, pop it in your hard drive, let it run from the cd and try it out! It just works!

Why’s that?

Actually, I did wonder why they just kept restarting the program, thinking that would fix the touch-screen.

The demo relies on touchscreen and touchscreen relies on the monitor. Get a new monitor.

Japanese are pretty technically adroit–in fact–so it just might be the hardware or much more likely Windoze 7’s fault. Looks to me like the touch feature went to sleep. Funny how they couldn’t get it to work when every Apple iPhone in existence can do this simple task without a glitch. In fact they have an iPod that can do this too.

At least they didn’t get the blue screen of death like when Gates did a demo for Windoze ME a few years back.

If anyone is looking for a virus free, rock solid operating system, OSX by Apple is your best bet. Years ahead of XP and 7.

It’s not bootleg. It’s a new feature in winblows 7.

I will stick with XP for at least a year or until all the bugs are out of Windows 7. I actually dual-boot with Mint Linux (Ubuntu) and have a choice. With Mint there are no viruses or spy-ware. It loads a lot faster than Windows. WINE works for some Windows programs but It doesn’t run Sony Sound Forge which I use for recording albums. Audacity is fair for this task but there are better recording software options with Windows.

The only software I have ever paid for with Linux is Nero. The Linux version works really well. But Linux has a number of free ripping programs and K3B works great for burning.

Why do I want fingerprints all over my screen?

Download Sun Microsystems Solaris for your operating system, Firefox for your browser, and Openoffice for your application suite, and then AVG for anti-virus and it will cost you the grand total of $0.00

Windows is to computers what global warming is to politics = JUNK
