Who Knows What to do About the Oil Spill? Robert Redford, Of Course!

John Nolte, Editor-in-Chief of Big Hollywood, has a great piece slamming leftist Hollywood and how they are circling the wagons for Pres. Obama on the oil spill crisis. Watch the video here and then click over to Big Hollywood for the full story.

If Redford had his way we’d all be living in Huts ,like Obama’s brother…. and he’d be flying around in private jets and using limos….

In Utah, Robert Redford talked a big talk about the environment, until it came time for his resort up Sundance that did huge damage to the environment. But at least he now has a resort for other rich snobs to come to, vacation, and ruin more of the environment, while he Bullshiits everyone else.

Offshore drilling would be far less dangerous if it were not forced into way too deep of water by ass holes like Robert Redford.

As for other energy options, why the hell can’t they make money if they are so good and actually work? Because they don’t work and they can’t make money.

3 cheers for the pretentious, self absorbed and clueless entertainment industry!

Of course he does, he has a PhD in Shitology. He graduated Some Cum Loud.
And he was in the top 99% of his graduating class.

Obama’s policies:
When you have a terrorist attack you call a lawyer.
When you have an oil spill you call an old used-up actress.
With brains like that, Obama will go far – but not far enough and not soon enough.

Robert Redford still uses more oil than fifty other people. So not quite so sure why in hell he deserves any respect.

Another vapid Hollywood idiot steps forward to prove his ignorance.

In their narrow, little world they only associate with other self-important, Hollywood snobs. They spew their anti-American venom to the unwashed while they flaunt their moral depravity and mental illnesses in front of the World. They preach “tolerance” but they are not satisfied with tolerance, They want full acceptance of their sick lifestyles. In reality, they act the part of heroes while they surrounding themselves with adoring, weak minded worshipers who will never tell them the truth.

Find any anti-American, anti-family, anti-Christian, obscene, depraved cause, and Hollywood will supply scores of these most vacuous, preening egotists on the face of the Earth supporting it.

hypocrite….
If Redford wanted to do something… he would get off the grid and invest his millions in developing an alternative. Instead… he sits in the bleachers and criticize everyone else to which he is guilty of himself.

Everybody wants a new source of energy… common sense points to hydrogen… but that would require all of the power brokers to surrender their billions into a virtually free source of energy.

boatdrinks   June 10th, 2010 - 4:14 pm

I agree with Redford on this. I don’t see where he is circling the wagons for anybody. We DO need to try and move away from oil, primarily to cut our dependence on those who would do us harm. It won’t be easy, but we’ve done harder things in previous generations. Cap and Trade isn’t the way to do it. All that will do is make the Soros’, Gores and Goldman Sachs of the world richer. My uncle, who worked all his life for Alabama Gas, had a care in the early 80s that ran on propane. It’s a 30 year technology.

Well I gotta give Redford a little credit. He does’nt appear to have had any surgery on that mug of his like a lot of his narcissistic pals. Oh, the oil spill, that right. Well he’s had 50 some days to come up with something or another.

YOU people are CLUELESS !!!   June 10th, 2010 - 4:38 pm

What the people who read this site have to know is that actors are smart, REALLY smart, yes smarter then us they know so much more about the world then you and I you can’t even imagine you don’t become a highly successful celebrity by being stupid.

Look at Hollywood and the brilliant people who pull the string there they would never allow a complete moron represent them and there industry, actors never get the credit they disserve, they know how to do coke, drink, party, have chuffers drive them around all day unless they get totally wasted then they drive themselves, show up at court on time (well not all the time because they are hangover from the night before) have all the money in the world and still act like a complete f#@king A Hole, YOU people think that is easy!?!? well ask some of Hollywood’s top stars like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears and I think you will get an intelligent answer.

He'returns'soon   June 10th, 2010 - 4:41 pm

why can’t we bring charges against the people and organizations that forced the oil companys into deep water. Redford and people like him are just as responsible for this gulf disaster as anyone.

Brem   June 10th, 2010 - 4:43 pm

No hole in Redford’s crack pipe.
More lies about solar ,wind etc – typical hollywood phony moron.
Boycott hollywood – save your kids.

gp40   June 10th, 2010 - 4:53 pm

Keep trying to fix the well. Oil is a natural product of decomposed plant material under pressure. We don’t need to clean up the beaches or clean the animals. Nature will fix itself. All these storeies about we’re still in Alaska feeling the results of the EXXON Valdez oil spillage are lies. They are lies from people trying to shakedown the oil company for money. Can you imagine tring to steam clean a beach on an island where no one lives in Alaska? That’s what the oil company did. It was a waste of money, a publicity stunt and a shakedown. I live in alaska and have for 59 years.

TexasStomp   June 10th, 2010 - 5:17 pm

Boatdrinks,

I’m with you on this one. Putting aside personality, I didn’t hear him say a thing that isn’t true. And honestly, if you HAD the choice to use clean energy today…would anyone choose oil?

I didn’t get the sense he was being unfair in his appraisal of the situation or the current and past behavior of gov’t or the industry. We know this music. We’ve seen spills, blowouts, the Valdeze…and we’ve see the devastation these accidents cause.

But if, for the sake of argument, folks want oil, they tell me why we cannot drill on US soil instead out in the water. Under Mississippi alone there is the largest oil deposit on the North American continent. What’s so hard about drilling on land at least until the technology is there for deep water drilling?

Either way, I didn’t take away a feeling of lack of sincerity or of pretentiousness from Redford. In fact, he knows more about the up close and dirty business of drilling than most of us here, having been a roustabout. Tough work and dirty business.

He get’s a green light on this one. Short on really viable solutions, cause solar and wind won’t come close, but nothing he said is untrue. I don’t think the message should be disregarded just because a “celebrity” delivered it. It’s still true.

jim   June 10th, 2010 - 5:26 pm

Three cheers (bronx cheers) for all the WAGS on this site who have no constructive ideas to provide but apparently have all the time and energy and imagination to make smart ass remarks with no substance. Is this all that conservatism has to offer as an alternative?? If so this country is lost.

What did he say that was true? His impression was that he and his liberal ilk don’t use oil for their own purposes just as much as anyone else does. Is that a truth about Redford? His crowd is the jetsetter resource waister of all time.

His message is we have to do better blah blah blah, we look so cool when we talk celebrity bullsht. A true message or just a lame get nothing done bullsht message? He said nothing of any benefit. And he let that incompetent jackass Oilbama off the hook, AGAIN.

God bless the oil companies and the people that work for them. Oil has made my life better. Oil warms my house, lets me drive to the store. Oil provides plastics, hospital equipment and pharmaceuticals that save my life. Natural gas is not the answer. High sulpher oil provides the lubrication and BTU’s that provide a modern society.

SubjectoftheUSSA   June 10th, 2010 - 5:52 pm

I thought this whacko left the USA after Bush got elected, weren’t he and Alec Baldwin supposed to be on a plane outta here together?

Obamanable   June 10th, 2010 - 7:02 pm

Not once did Robert give advice on how to clean the spill, and not once did he propose that we increase taxes on energy. All he said was to cut the lobbyists, and concentrate on new energy sources. We know that the Progressive politicians are corrupt, and that they have proved to all of us that drilling in deep water needs more safety measures to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

DRILL BABY DRILL, JUST DON’T SPILL BABY SPILL.

the drones, media hacks and benefactors of the capitali$t god$ [that they worship at the knee and suck up the other end] are relentless in their pur$uit of the bottom line-

The abhor the environmentalist, defenders of the planet, climate, ecology, wildlife, marshes and anything related-

Look what has happened to my beautiful state of LA from greedy FKS-thanks to deregulation from senile RR and augmented by oil men and war profiteer, cheesy and idoit bush

Lets us be as relentless as they are in our pursuit for the good of our planet

Not once did this aging old has been mention a solution to any problem nor the current US president. Surely that was an accidental oversight not to mention the current US president.

Redford is a useless prck of a person.

Bob   June 11th, 2010 - 5:49 pm

So Robert, have you asked how many of your beloved Democrats that have received campaign dollars from the oil industry? How much did Obama get from that industry? You would be surprised and on that point you will remain silent of course. No partisanship there. Also Robert, when will you and the other Hollywood folks be heading down to the Gulf to help out like you did during Katrina? Or would helping in this disaster make Obama look bad so I’ll just make a lazy Youtube video? You are pathetic and sad. I was never a fan and never will be. Stop with the “do as I say, not as I do” mentality. Between your limos and private jets, you have a larger carbon footprint than a 1000 average Americans. What a hypocrite.

kmichaels   June 11th, 2010 - 6:36 pm

I’m great at knocking other people for doing the exact thing. Forgive me -I was a special ed student

Robert Redhead–2010–

Kevin   June 12th, 2010 - 3:48 pm

Redford here was the solution the first day; quit the double talk! To either seize and sink an empty oil tanker ship from BP with huge hole cut out of bottom , or sink Navy diesel resupply ship with huge hole cut out of bottom, or drive a U.S. Submarine with a huge hole in the bottom over the top of the oil spill with multiple pumping hoses inserted from the top desk down into the belly of the tanker/submarine, and attached to the tanker/submarine long enough to connect to on the surface of the ocean, and then pump the oil out of the tanker/submarine as it fills its tank with oil. Use other ships to surround tanker with steel cable hooked to them to keep tanker/ship level and to insure position on the bottom while sinking.
Either way, these ideas require the sacrifice of a huge amount of property but in the scope of things the cost of this idea is nothing in comparison with what is already being sacrificed!

Gidget   June 14th, 2010 - 12:15 pm

Was there even one suggestion as to how we are going to give up our dependence on oil? All of these left wing experts are still driving cars and heating their homes with gas. I think they all need to shut the !@#%$ up unless they have a sure fire way to replace gas with another power source.
