Choice and competition, the government way, leads to a government monopoly, meaning exactly no choice and no competition. As early as 2003 we have Obama saying that his plan has always been single payer plan, which, btw, is NO CHOICE and NO COMPETITION. Elsewhere Obama says that after about ten years, a government option will drive all private insurance companies out of business. Obama, simply put, is a liar, and Gibbels, simple put, is his tuurd.

Of course, there has and will be a lot of discussion and negotiation on all this. I am happy to see the public option staying in the bill though. But they should not be able to unfairly compete with the private insurers. Like the post office operating at a nice little loss taking the mail no one else wants to handle. An essential government service that no one else wants. The public insurance plan should cover all the illegals, homeless, and other hard cases the private insurers simply can’t touch and they don’t want to be forced to.

The public option also seem to really PO the right wingnuts so you know it’s got to be good!!

A good analogy to what they are doing to us is imagine your house was being robbed and you are standing there watching unable to do anything about it. If the Post Office charged American business what it costs to deliver TONS of advertising they would not be operating at a loss and closing branches now.

If American business doesn’t think it is worth that much money for the gov’t to deliver their advertising at a loss to the TAXPAYER then they are free to deliver it themselves or have it delivered by the same people who stuff all that junk in your door handle now.

Since 99% of it gets discarded without even reading maybe the PO should just send that 99% straight to the recycler and let the public come to the PO to pick up the remaining 1% themselves. LOL
