White House Responds to Uproar Over Pricey Washington Post Lobbyist Event

Politico: White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was asked Thursday in the briefing room if anyone from the White House was invited to attend the salons, and what the policy is for attending such events. "I don't know if anybody here was," Gibbs said. "I think some people in the administration, writ large, may have been invited. I do not believe, based on what I've been able to check, anyone has accepted the invitations." Gibbs said that the White House counsel would review such invitations and that they "would likely exceed" what would be considered appropriate.

the power schemes have been set long ago, you’re in or you’re out. this issue is about people trying to get stimulus money before its all gone.

This lying incompetent fool knows the $250,000 each that the Lobbyists were paying for axcess to the White House was going right to Obama’s people..until it was exposed. He is a LIAR…a FOOL..and he laughs as Rome burns..
But,it isn’t a surprise the Socialist Obama picked him…all Obama’s friends ,before ,and now, are either Racists,,,terrorists…Crooks…tax cheats,or as unqualified as he is…But, America didn’t listen to the facts..they listened to all the low Life Libs in the Media instead. And of course Obama’s lies…which he has proven over and over again.
This is the most destructive, lying, Evil, Administration is America’s history. I doubt we will survive 4 years of these Communist liars…God help Us!

I guess if it was just $100,000 that would have been more tasteful and agreeable and accepable to the Obama administration….

So are the going to “change” the lights in front of the White House to red? It could symbolize a couple of things.

Hey Scoot or Liz (if you see this) maybe the chat for b-cast can be updated so we can block the trolls ourselves instead of shutting the whole thing down? dunno

You have just got to love the $250k number. Anything larger and the recipient would be subject to Obama tax increases. Obama assured us that anything less than 250k wouldn’t be subject to increased taxes right? Right??? Don’t hold your breath for the press to really come down on Obama. They will protest about as much as mainstream Islam did after 9/11.

Former NY Governor Elliot Spitzer did exactly this, sold access thru membership for million dollars or more…and got away with it. the local paper, Times Union, even said it would help further communication between good interests and gov’t.
