If he’s “not afraid of the press”, it’s because he knows he owns them… and even treats them with arrogant contempt, ie- hectoring reporters to “not waste their question”, telling them when they’ve “got enough pictures”, and even to “get back on the bus” in Chicago- ouch.

But to imply he’s forthcoming with the media is pure fantasy- what about the latest presser, where he went down a list, calling on those who pre-submitted questions for his speechwriters to tackle with the appropriate spin, while Obama read the telepromter like an automaton?

How about how he hid Emanuel during the Blago blowup? Or how he never told us how Blago received his offers/non-offers… as heard on the tapes? Or said he never met with Blago to discuss the seat… when three news outlets and Larry Axelrod all said that he did Nov 5th-

How about his first week, when he got snotty with the press pool when they asked him a simple question… saying “I’m just here to say hi”- and putting his hand on the Politico journalist’s shoulder, scolding like he’s a teacher with a child?

Obama’s “friendliness” with the press is the same as his supposed “bipartisanship”– he’s have you over to dinner, and smile for a picture with you… as long as you go-along unquestioning with his misguided, far-left agenda… and don’t ask any uncomfortable questions… or call him on any of his numerous lies and historical revisionism.

I’m STUNNED absolutely STUNNED to see a CBS reporter actually ask a hard question to R.G. and then to have Helen Thomas join in! Now if these reporters will actually do the same thing to Obama is another matter. It would be interesting to see if they will jump off the script and ask Obama a question that was not on the teleprompter. Then, maybe I’ll believe that these guys aren’t just Obama sheep in reporter’s clothing.

The WH is doing their best to control their message – when Gibbs smuggly asks Chip Reid and Helen Thomas which question did they not like that was asked – he is running interference of the worst kind. The issue isn’t what questions were asked – the issue is what questions were not asked OR were given to them in hopes of being asked and then deemed “to tough to take” and not asked at all.

Just like listening to Congress and Obama discuss cap and trade-that thing was passed in the dead of night and with 300 pages added to it at the last minute that no one anywhere could’ve gotten through and made any sense of. If that thing is so good and necessary, it should be able to withstand the scrutiny of being set out in the light of day. Why was the EPA forced to hide or curtail evidence to the contrary of AGW? Conspircay theory??? I have no clue but this crap has got to stop.

The only thing missing at the townhall meetings are the “greek columns”. This is what the greek columns
should have warned us… we’re getting a “packaged” presidency, propaganda at a level that only Hitler, Stalin,

desparate to prop this man up?” “Why does this man so desperately need a Teleprompter?” “Where is the

The problem here isn’t Robert Gibbs, it’s Barack Obama. Obama is doing such a lousy job vis-a-vis the media that Gibbs can’t even take the fall for it effectively. If you know the questions, then you can prepare your answers. It is a slippery slope arguement that if there are “dissenting” questions then it proves the questions aren’t controlled. Quite the oppisite if you know the tough questions are coming you can prepare slick answers. If you do not know what questions then you have to THINK of the answers , use your OWN opinions and REVEAL your ideology. Strange that only Chavez, Castro and Obama have complained about Honduras. When America wakes up to Obama ideology I hope it isn’t to late to save us.

White House Revokes Press Passes Issued To Reporters Chip Reid And Helen Thomas

The Obama administration has determined that these reporters have significantly failed to reduce their carbon footprints. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs states that, “according to observers in the press parking area, both reporters were arriving in SUV’s and other types of gas guzzlers”. Gibbs continues “We expect all reporters that we honor with attendence at White House briefings to toe the line in reducing their carbon footprint. Unfortunately, a significant amount of carbon gas was expelled by both of these individuals today, and we just can’t put up with that.”

Asked by other reporters who would take their place at the head of the room, Gibbs replied “We will be replacing Chip and Helen with blowup dolls that have a tape recorder imbedded in each doll. The tape recorders will have pre-recorded questions that will be asked at the appropriate time by my pressing the Play button on a remote control.”

It’s sickening that the news media only gets skeptical because they’re jealous of some twit from the Huffington Post getting preferential treatment (personal invitation and planted question at ABC/Obama’s last news conference). Where were they when the unread stimulus package was rammed down the throats of the American People? Where were they when Obama took over the auto industry and started handing out ownership to his union supporters? Where were they when Obama took over banks and financial institutions and started hiring and firing employees in the private sector?

Nowhere to be found. European socialism being imlpemented in the U.S. at lightning speed is no reason to do their job as skeptical “journalists.” But boy, mess with their egos and there will be heck to pay, even from Helen Thomas!
