and 2007. barney frank and obama both know that the federal plan will eventually crowd out the private insurance most americans cherish (just as the federal home mortgage loan programs did leading to our economic crisis). his numbers don’t add up. the white house and congressional predictions and economic assumptions are laughable as they are dangerous (cash for clunkers, for example). obama’s message to the union in the clip is clear: single payer will win out in 15-20 years and the usa will resemble other socialist nations, something which is really angering thinking americans. that’s why he’s in such a rush to pass this program or things such as cap and trade – with a dem majority, no one needs to read these bills!

Linda Douglas made an accusation that she never substantiated. She claimed that videos were appearing on news sites made by people who were stringing together comments made by Obama and taken out of context. If this were really true, then why didn’t she show some examples of some of these supposedly distorted video clips along with a demonstration of how they were distorted. Instead, she shows her own clips of Obama saying what people want to hear. I’ve got news for Linda. We don’t trust what Obama says today. He has already lied to us on several occasions. For example, he said we need to pass the massive spending bill last winter in order to jump-start the economy and that failure to pass the legislation would cause unemployment to raise to 9.4%. Well, we passed the bill and employment has already gone past that mark and is headed toward 10%. During the campaign, he said he no one making less than $250k would see a tax increase. Now his administration is saying they won’t rule out a tax increase. He promised to have transparency in his administration. So far, just about everything has been in secret. In fact he has more czars than we have ever had presidents of this country. None of these czars is accountable to anyone other than the president – no Congressional oversite, no public disclosure of their work, no accountability. During the campaign, he said that his healthcare reform plan would be debated publicly. So far, the debate has included Democratic members of Congress and excluded nearly everyone else. They certainly haven’t invited Republicans to the table nor the public, other than one choreographed speech with hand-picked spectators.
Because what we hear from Obama today is mostly propaganda, we need to go back in time and find video clips that capture Obama speaking candidly.

This is the video that is intentionally misleading! I’ve watched all of them on both sides of the debate, and Linda Douglas is the one that “omits” the tactical strategies stated by progressives themselves that they are using the “public option” as a trojan horse. I’d seen the presidential video clips before that she shows here, but it still doesn’t explain away that progressives are shown in their own videos stating that they have created the “public option” as an intentional trojan horse to replace private healthcare with socialized medicine!
What does it say about a woman that spent decades purporting to be an objective journalist that is now working for the White House spin machine? What was she doing when she worked for media outlets? The SAME THING!

What is interesting is she never addressed the specifics of the bill, as the critics are doing, to defend the president’s position. “What does the bill actually say?” She goes on opinion; making critics wrong by generalizing their comments as being out of context, and “listen to what the President has to say” – not what is in the bill. The actual wording of the bill is what will affect us, not Obama’s comments made during the sales job. Give us facts and figures, not opinion and pie-in-the-sky sales jobs.

I think the WH may be going off-message with the new title “Health Insurance Reform” (which only surfaced last week). But I guess since nearly everyone in the US is now objecting to “Health Care Reform,” they had to change the name. The central question remains, however, how will they stop all those pediatricians from performing unnecessary operations (see Obama Health Care Press Conference) to gain a higher fee? Or maybe I am just missing it and the doctors are no longer the bad ones, now the insurance people are evil.
