WH Budget Director: Health Care Efficiencies May Take ‘Decades’

AP: "It will be years to decades" before the nation has a properly working health care system that rewards quality over quantity, Peter Orszag told reporters. He said improving the quality of health care "is more like a lifelong nutrition or diet, not studying for an exam," but he added that continuous progress is a crucial goal.

*The reason I’m not giving you a specific answer….* That just summed up the entire administration.

“I’d like to answer more questions but your big words confuse me…..and Sesame Street is on now. Thank you.”

Of course it will take decades to fix, thats because the haters and rightys have been runing our health care
system into the ground for a 100 years stealing money from the poor and people of color. Hopfully we will keep
the intlectual progresives that surround our leader Obama around to cure our disseased heatlh system. we must
stop the dying of the poor and people of color who dont have insurance.

Where is the late Senator Joseph McCarthy when you need him!

LK   December 2nd, 2009 - 5:04 pm

Healthcare should pass only if those deciding “what’s best for we peons” is something they’re going to be forced to use!

Okay   December 2nd, 2009 - 5:23 pm

There will be no efficiencies. Ever. Trust me.

And this is yet another reason, America, that you do not “throw the baby out with the bath water”!

We do not need an “overhaul” of our existing healthcare and especially not to replace it with a ‘government run’ healthcare!

NO>>>>>NO>>>>>NO>>>>>NO>>>>!

We need our system tweaked…in problem areas only! Only! Only!

And we need those problem areas fixed by suggestions from “medical” professionals not “professional” politicians.

Get this you so called Washington slugs…

You were not elected to be gods…
You were not elected to be physicians…
You were not elected to be scientists…

We have plenty of experts in all these fields that fill the bill who have the education, experience and knowledge to perform in all these areas more than adequately!

You were elected to represent us…the American taxpayers in your district and you are the ones not doing the job you were sent to do!

America…are your representatives representing you?

If not, throw them out!

—————————-

THE REVOLUTION OF THE SILENT MAJORITY HAS BEGUN!

1. GETTING INFORMED!
2. GETTING INVOLVED!
3. GETTING OUT THE VOTE TO THROW THE SLUGS OUT!

THEY SAY ‘YES’ TO ‘GOVERNMENT RUN’ HEALTHCARE…

AND WE SAY ‘YES’ TO SENDING EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM HOME… STARTING WITH NEW JERSEY/VIRGINIA IN 2009, INTO 2010 AND BEYOND…GUARANTEED!

IMPEACHMENT OR THE ‘ORIGINAL’ KENYAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE…IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME!

Notasheeple   December 2nd, 2009 - 5:39 pm

Government and Efficiency in the same sentence…. Wow!!! What a joke….. Can’t wait for Obamacare…. Maybe it will pay for a hair transplant for Orszag so he can loose his rug….

doogle   December 2nd, 2009 - 5:45 pm

Don’t worry folks. It will all be over in 2010. It’ll be hard for the ObaMao to make his healthcare plan work when the funding is cut-off by the NEW Republican Congress. 2012 will see a squashing of anything faintly resembling a Democrapic initiative of ANY sort.

FastFacts   December 2nd, 2009 - 5:49 pm

Haven’t we been talking about this for a long time. The problem with the CBO estimate is the fact that it starts counting the expenses on day one when most of the bill doesn’t take effect for 3-5 or as Peter Orszag puts it “decades” before the whole system starts working. This whole bill gives power to big government groups and the democrats and it all stems from the corrupt idea of them keeping power.

I am watching http://www.americanparchment.com who is doing the “31 Corrupt Politicians in 31 Day” Program. I guess it’s a preview of a larger program they will be doing before the 2010 election. Today they are starting with our friend Gov. Sanford, who isn’t that corrupt when it comes to different events but the one scandal he was part of, he broke 37 laws and lost the confidence of most of his state. Bad decisions creates a poor politician.

I Scream - HA!   December 2nd, 2009 - 5:53 pm

OMG Ice Cream Rover is hilarious! lol. Honeybunch – The poor are supported by the middle class and rich. Can a poor man get a job from a poor man? No – but a poor man does get a job from the small or large businesses of the middle and upper classes, or gets public assistance from the taxes paid by the middle and upper classes. Where do you think all of your precious social programs come from? The poor do not pay taxes, deary. The middle class and rich pay it all, and their numbers are growing smaller due to the growth of the liberal welfare state. The middle class are the most put upon in this country, and will completely disappear if liberals have their way. And Race has nothing to do with it. Anyone in this country can be of any income level, regardless of color. It’s up to each individual and how hard they work and the choices they make; AND we have Affirmative Action, Minority Scholarships, etc. just for insurance – all paid for by the middle and upper classes. Stop eating so much ice cream – it’s given you brain freeze.

jbone   December 2nd, 2009 - 7:39 pm

hey icecream rover…the root of most of the problems afflicting our country is morons like you voting… “the intlectual progresives” your so fond of are just a bunch of delusional upper crust lefties that regurgitate what they have been told to think since they lack the “intlectual” capacity to think for themselves..

SIWMZ   December 2nd, 2009 - 8:47 pm

Rob   December 3rd, 2009 - 12:29 am

DOn’t miss the most important parts of what he just said. He just implied that your doctor, who in some cases has decades of experience, doesn’t know how to treat you and their comparative research will tell doctors “the best way” to treat your illnesses.

Furthermore he alludes to the fact that the end goal is complete government control over your life via health care legislation.

H2K   December 3rd, 2009 - 10:46 am

Folks, Ice Cream Rover speaks tongue in cheek to get a reaction.

So in other words, we have to hurry up and get government control of healthcare so that in 50 years, we’ll finally have a quality system. Is that right?
