I will plead guilty to supporting Ron Paul but modesty and common sense prohibits me from comparing myself to Dr Paul. Dr Paul is a very learned Physician and 20 year US Congressman. He has studied topics dealing with monetary systems, history of nations and their downfall, the US Constitution and Congressional, Presidential and Judicial powers, etc., etc., etc.. I don’t know about you, but I simply do not measure up to that.

I have roughly 13 posts so far, SoCal has roughly 25. A quick count (and I could have miscounted) shows that SoCal has used the following insults:

and referred to a 10 term Congressman, Physician, Strict Constitutionalist who continues to point out where our policy and actions as a country differ from the advise of the Founding Fathers and the US Constitution as Ron “Cut and Run” Paul 16 times.

SoCal did actually list facts that I could check out on two occasions and they proved to be accurate. He referred to an oath he took to the constitution once… (I also took an oath to protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.) The rest of his posts were opinions, which are well and good if they were about events… but his opinions dealt mainly with the above insults. Not much constructive there.

I do encourage SoCal to state the Truth and Facts. I do not understand his last accusation. I welcome TRUTH and FACTS… he gave me 2 such things in 25 posts. The rest were things that I took him at his word (his service to out country, the oath he took to protect the constitution.) or they were insults or misinformed accusations.

I have been charged with being as negative and such as SoCal…

I attempted to be rational and reasonable in my effort to share my concerns about our country and my support for Dr Paul. I stated I wished to create more light than heat in this discussion. I will admit I failed.

But I did list facts that can be checked out with ease by anyone able to negotiate the web well enough to find this post. A total of 30 references were made listing facts about the financial crisis, national debt, rate of increasing debt, Constitutional Authority and Responsibility of Congress, listing historical events and dates, Listed and defended Dr Paul’s stated positions (go check them out) etc… I also thanked SoCal and his Father and uncles for their service to the country and I sincerely mean it.

Also included were several of my personal rants consisting of sarcasm and opinion, mixed with the above references. I will admit that I may be wrong in my labels of Neo-cons (Neo- Conservatives)and RINOS (Republican In Name Only)and I will defer to SoCal and others to actually define those terms. I may have wrongly attributed those actions of SoCal as those of a Neo-Con or a RINO. As far at the “Sheep” reference, if you look, I refer to myself as one in both 2000 and 2004.

I will defend my right to identify my own misguided behavior and reasoning as well as those who share or shared the same views, ideas and misconceptions. My last two rants that aggravated SoCal so much were the pot calling the kettle black. I will be the pot or the kettle, you can decide which… If that shoe pinches a little too much for comfort, spend some time and check your own ideas.

Other than that, I will rest on Jan’s opinion on Dec 13th @ 1:59 AM and take BTB’s view (well half of it anyway;-) on his Dec 13th post also. I know this mess between SoCal and I has taken over this open exchange of ideas. I apologize to all.

It is critical that we confront this argument as traitorous and repeat the phrase “Cut and Run” until the annoying truth spew-er goes away.
