Godless is also clueless. I am glad that the soldier is getting his dog back. He earned him by serving over there. With all the other bad news that we have seen recently a “feel good” story is nice for a change.
A small gesture of thank you for the sacrifice this soldier made for our country…….

farah….go back where you came from. in iraq, dogs run wild. they aren’t treated the same there as they are here. did you not pay attention to the video…the soldier is a woman and most women are not on the front lines where they can “kill” people. what an absolute moron you are.
Sorry, I meant to say HER dog. The military doesn’t allow service members to have pets? That’s news to me. When I was in Viet Nam there were plenty of pets running around the base and at least one of them shipped out with his “owners” when the unit later deployed to Japan.
She was demoted from Sgt. to Spec. because of this? Why? Maybe they ought to fix this, too.
I think if they are going to make an exception to allow the dog into the US, then they have to make an exception to punishing the soldier with a demotion. The bottom line though is that she bucked the system and made her superiors look bad, so she has made her future life in the military far more difficult.
I am happy to see there are people out there that understand the bond that can develop between humans and animals. Love is a precious commodity in this world and we need to protect it at all costs whether it is husband-wife, friends, human-pet, or otherwise. The fact the relationship developed in an environment of war makes it special.
As much as our Soldiers have done for us I wonder why people can be so mean and hateful about someone caring about a little dog. As my daddy uses to say “Idiots come in bunches like grapes and bananas”…Oh Well…Good Luck to the Soldier and the little dog too!
