United Nations Investigator Launches Probe Into US Housing Crisis

The New York Times: The United Nations has assigned an official, “a special rapporteur on the right to adequate housing,” to check the city’s affordable housing. The rapporteur, Raquel Rolnik, is to tour the city for the next three days with housing advocates and city officials to “hear the voices of those who are suffering on the ground,” she said.

Since when does the UN have the right to stick their nose into our business? Who gave these UN people this right–Obama—oh yes I forgot, at the Pittsburgh g20 meeting when he signed our economic financals over to the IMF giving our US sovereighty away.

What happens in America should stay in America and not be publicized across the globe.

Acorn was the shake down of the lenders. I can attest to this–being in the industry for over 15 yrs, I have personally seen it. Congress wrote the mortgage underwriting guidelines for subprime lending. So MR BARNEY FRANKS was a large large part of this.

Who stole all of this money–follow the money and find out. That 3 trillon that was so called LOST from wall street last year–money doesn’t just disappear…………………it went in the bilderbergers pockets along with that sneaky terrorist Rahm Emanuel. Speaking of, Rahm, he has and is funneling/laundering money thru Chicago Mercantile to the Red Chinese, which he has done for years………so who will shake him down? He is very dangerous–google his name and get the dirt on him. Impeach them all before its too late.

What right does the UN to look into anything in the United States? Socialism through the United Nations. With how much corruption is found in this organization how can they say anything. What will they do with this information. Could a socialist, considering she is most likely from a near socialistic country, ever see the fact that it could be because of the social programs that destroyed our economy. Programs such as the Housing and Recovery Act, I don’t remember if that was the name but it was push by Bill Clinton, expanded by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd when the Dems took power and ultimately help increase bad loans to those who couldn’t afford it. And they are still expanding it as we speak. This is the act that is push by organizations like ACORN to pressure banks to give loans to people who can’t afford them, making them ‘bad’ loans. Though at the same time the Republicans and Banks were not innocent either. The UN needs to keep their noses out of our business.

No let her come because she needs to stop by Valerie Jarrets slums in Chicago. All those poor black people living in homes that wouldn’t pass a building code inspection. Was I the only one who saw that beautiful little three year old black boy crushed by a rusty poorly installed gate at one of her complexes. Now that’s who I would like to see the UN investigate. Then on her way back to where ever she came from Stop by Kenya and visits obama’s half brother George in his hut. I mean it is a national emergency when the President who has millions of dollars and is a Nobel Peace Prize winner can’t even make sure his own relatives have adequate housing. Dear sweet Jesus what has this nation come to! OH THE HUMANITY!

Gorio   October 25th, 2009 - 1:21 am

The UN is the next platform for Dumbo ears himself as he will shoot for Ruler of the World by becoming the next General Secretary of the UN. This is his ploy, he will fall in great favor of the 3rd worlders and the Socialist Euros in the UN.

Well “F” the “UN”, btw you can tell that ugly UN socialist when she visits Chicago to go easy, all the slums are run by Obama’s staff

Beck's Girl   October 25th, 2009 - 1:54 am

Just who opened the door and let these socialist freaks in? The Obama adminstration. To allow non-citizens to delve into the private lives of US citizens homeless or otherwise should be stopped before it even starts. This is dangerous stuff in a dangerous time for this country. It appears that all the rules that have govern this country are being thrown out the window and a new set are being put in place by Obama and his fellow communists. If it was up to Obama he’d take the US Constitution and tear it up then pee and crap all over it. Let’s face it Obama hates white people because of slavery and would like nothing better then payout restitution to every black person. Problem is there wouldn’t be enough money to go around. What better way to redistrute the wealth then create government programs that will give Obama’s fellow blacks government backed healthcare, housing, food, clothen, transportation at no expense to them seeing the white taxpayers would be footing the bill.

“Democracy Now” ???? What’s that?! Who is that?!

Why is The U.N. sending a short skinny woman with ‘poor eyesight’ and no muscle to investigate AMERICA’S HOUSING CRISIS… to clean up AMERICA’S HOUSE? Who invited her? What right does she have to come here?

Is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi going to welcome her with buckets, and mops, so the two can roll up their sleeves, and work alongside each other?

Where’s the U.S. President? Who had the audacity to suggest to Barry Soetoro aka/alias Barack Hussein Obama that he could do as he darn well pleased once in the White House? i.e. czars with NO accountability or answerability to Congress? Attempting to sign away U.S. Sovereignty? Emptying our Treasury to Goldman Sachs, and their ilk?

See: Joseph Farah’s “TAKING AMERICA BACK – A Radical Plan to Revive Freedom, Morality, and Justice”, Published 2003 [Order @ wnd.com]

See Chapter 3 – “Whatever Happened to the Constitution?” pp 53-55
“Americans have become conditioned to think we live in a democracy and that democracy is wonderful. Not only is democracy not wonderful, but America is not one, and never has been. And GOD willing, it never will be…
“Democracy is always a disaster…we have no chance to maintain a free republic—or to reestablish one in this country—if we the people do not even understand the objective. Democracy destroys freedom. It always has, and it always will…
“Democracy is little more than mob rule— dictatorship by majority opinion. It almost always ends in oppression of minorities—be they religious, ethinic, racial, or political minorities. Rule of law beats rule of mob any day. It is one of the reasons the American war for independence was such a blessing to humanity and why the French Revolution was, in many ways, such a curse.
“Majority rule was never the intent of our founders. They believed in the rule of law, not the rule of men. They understood that, becauseof the fallen state of man,he would inevitably vote himself into slavery and tyranny if provided the tools.
“Instead, as (Benjamin) Franklin pointed out, America was created as a representative constitutional republic—one with checks and balances built in, with a Constitution, with a federal government of limited power and scope, a system in which the individual’s inalienable rights were recognized and protected, a representative form of government, not one based on direct vote of the populace. And thank GOD for that.
“Why don’t democracies work? Because they are merely temporary states—transitional forms of government. They can only function until a majority of voters discover they can vote themselves money and goodies from the public treasury. At that point the majority votes for candidates who promise the most benefits to them and the economy collapses because of increassed taxation and spending.

“That pattern is always followed by a dictatorship. Always.

“What is the difference between a democracy and a republic?
“In a democracy, the majority can pretty much do whatever it wants. It can change laws, it can decide to oppress and exploit certain people. The ultimate authority is the will of the people—no matter how misguided and shortsighted it might be. In a republic, the rule is by law. There are limitations explicitly placed on what government can and cannot do—no matter how popular the decisions might be.” ~ Joseph Farah, 2003

“TAKING AMERICA BACK” is a wake-up call for responsible self-government. It’s a radical vision for liberty – in the same way Washington, Jefferson, and Madison had a radical vision of freedom.” ~ Hal Lindsey, Author of “The Late Great Planet Earth” – Bestselling Book of the Decade (1970’s)

Listen to what this woman is saying ” If we take housing as a human right, you have to go back to the idea THAT HOUSING IS A SOCIAL ISSUE, BEFORE AND MORE PRIORITY THAN HOUSING AS A COMMODITY OR FINANCIAL ASSET.” This is a very dangerous statement.
So you know that the outcome of her UN report will be unfavorable to us, and based on her statement the next of our freedoms to go will be private property rights. Libya has offered to take the UN off our hands. Let’s give it to them.

What a Corrupt joke!

We all know the world is in more need in several places for housing and other things, for the UN to be looking at the US housing is a crime to all the other nations that need heat let alone a house.

This is just another power grab move, to inch into US Sovereignty and the obama administration loves it. Inch by inch day by day we lose another piece of our Sovereignty.

There is no justifiable reason for the UN to look into or be part of anything inside the USA, everyone knows they are as Corrupt as the left Dems and the white house.

bodi168   October 25th, 2009 - 7:42 am

They have the stones to investigate our country because we have a communist apologist in the white house. Nobody is afraid to attack the u.s. anymore….and why should they be? obama has just spent the last 10 months telling everyone how bad we are as a nation. The U.N. can kiss my *ss.

Static99   October 25th, 2009 - 8:49 am

“Housing is a human right”…really? I sure hope she reads the US Constitution before she begins to investigate here, because the last time I read it, housing was NOT one of the rights detailed out in that document. And if she wants to investigate housing as a human right, there are more than a few other countries where people are out on the street in massive numbers that she should be investigating. Oh, and housing as a human right?…well, you can potentially live without a house, how about food as a human right first if you’re going to go down the nutjob road – turns out you can’t live without food and some countries have that as an issue…but no, investigate the most powerful (formerly) nation on the planet in regards to a housing issue. The UN just proved itself worthles…again.

Maybe Ms. Rolnic should focus her American taxpayer subsidized efforts on improving the housing in the crime and rat-infested slums of Sao Paolo, Brazil–where she hails from–and stay the hell of New York if she doesn’t like the accomodations there.

Better yet, take the whole United Nations complex with her to Brazil and let them pay her salary.

CommonSense   October 25th, 2009 - 9:47 am

Quick follow up to my post above – There isn’t any hope that these foreigners will actually discover and report that it has been Democrats since FDR, Carter, and Clinton with the help of Dodd, and Franks who pushed and shored up low income housing demands and the repeal of requested regulation from the Bush Administration (11 times they wanted it looked at) into the foreseen low income housing problem.
Owning a house isn’t a right! It’s a privilage that is EARNED! The Democrats along with ACORN have pushed this agenda and threatened/demonized those who wanted to ensure responsible loans just to get poor people who could never pay for the houses to vote Democrat.
It’s very similar to the Cash for Clunkers program – many people getting into car loans at a time with record unemployment so they will be repo’ing cars in a year or so.
Also keep an eye on how the Low Income Home Lending enacted by the Democrats has lead to false economical growth that is soon to hit the Commercial Real Estate industry as well.

Her first premise was completely wrong and false.
HOUSING IS NOT A HUMAN OR CIVIL RIGHT.
A right must stand free and clear and not be beholden to another to provide. A right can not force or expect someone else to give up there rights.
A right to housing or medical care or food or a car would imply that my right to not work for you be removed.
I have a right to the fruits of my labor.
I have a right to purchase, housing, medical care, food,a car or clothing.

NO HUMAN HAS THE GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO DEMAND ANOTHER PROVIDE FOR THEM. PERIOD

Jim   October 25th, 2009 - 10:50 am

Our “poor” have two tv’s, 2 or 3 cars, cell phones, smoke, drink and probably do drugs and the UN is worried about them. Let the UN go somewhere where the people live in card board boxes and don’t have shoes. Maybe move the whole UN. That way it would take an economic benefit to that country too.

How long are we going to tolerate the disgraceful instrument of injustice, inaction, ineffectiveness, malfeasance and corruption that the United Nations inarguably represents, having gradually been hijacked by the world’s most shocking scoundrels and clowns?

While this provocateur “investigates” this country, hundreds of thousands – if not millions – will die of starvation, preventable diseases, tribal territorial disputes, wars and other causes about which the United Nations is doing virtually nothing. NOTHING.

She might begin with investigating the United Nations itself…but then, she would never be able to finish that job or find the words to describe what she would discover.

Battlespeed   October 25th, 2009 - 11:03 am

Chrisi   October 25th, 2009 - 11:13 am

What’s really scandalous here isn’t the UN “investigation” – which is no more or less than anyone should expect from that disgraceful organization.

What’s scandalous is the acquiescence of our own anti-American, “world-order loving” political leaders to allowing such an investigation to be conducted in the first place by an organization that clearly has no business investigating anyone or anything.

It’s time for the electoral broom to come out beginning in 2010…and on into 2012 and 2014 until the halls of American government have been swept clean and the Republic is restored to it’s great founding vision of what this government – and we, the people – should and can be.

fukyouUN   October 25th, 2009 - 11:13 am

what’s the point of this? what does the UN think it can/will do? issue a demeaning statement? frightening! as Americans let us focus all of our energy on this nation alone; the rest of the world can stand on its own two feet now, their response to us is FU, and when they need our help i say we force them back down on their hands and knees and make them beg! try and be nice and they spit in our face, now lets try and be cruel and watch them spit blood.

It goes without saying that one who investigates another must themselves be free of any taint of moral compromise, and must be free of any bias or predilections as to what the investigation will reveal.

It also goes without saying that the UN itself fails on the first count, and that this investigator clearly fails on the second count.

an american   October 25th, 2009 - 11:21 am

I’ve thought for a long time that the US should get out of the UN and the UN should get out of the US. That organization has no moral authority over anything. Their arrogance is extreme.

jeckelmyhyde   October 25th, 2009 - 11:24 am

WTF, this is America, not some 3rd world turd country. In America we believe that you work to earn property,so please take your Eurotrash and peddle it elsewhere.

ricardo maxwell   October 25th, 2009 - 11:24 am

When I first read the headline, I thought “Great! Now the UN will discover how the CRA the Democrats, ACORN, and bullying lenders into making bad mortgage loans to people that could not or would not repay them in return for their vote caused the housing crisis and current mess that we are in.”
Whoaaa Nelly!…..
It’s the UN, stupid. They are anti-American left wing Marxists, fascaists, commies, and dictators. Sure enough. I read the article and see the video and realize that these are just more far left Obama supporting America hating wing nuts.
The UN building should be evacuated, imploded, and all the foreigners in this country here on UN business or visas should be expelled. Take a few hundred Hollywood jerks (Streisand. Baldwin, Penn, Moore, etc…) with them.

Isaiah   October 25th, 2009 - 11:26 am

Let’s see. There was some famous man…now who was it? Oh, yes – Jesus. He said something about straining to remove a sliver from the eye of another while having a timber in your own eye. He also said something about white-washed sepulchres that have the appearance of righteousness on the outside, while inside they are filled with rotting flesh and bones.

Of course, if He had lived today, He could have simply said “the United Nations” and made the same points.

Freedom_Isnt_Free   October 25th, 2009 - 11:26 am

Get the UN out of the US! The UN should have no voice in what goes on in the USA! Obama needs to tell them that. However, we know he won’t since he believes in one-world government and has hopes of being the first “President of the World”!

RightStuff   October 25th, 2009 - 11:32 am

UN representatives are the best argument I can give for euthanasia if this Raquel Rolink is representative of the maggots.

Martifr   October 25th, 2009 - 11:36 am

The fraud, hussein, and his minions will allow this. We do not have a leader;we have a cheer-leader in the white house. Let these u. n. bstrds come to “flyover country” and tell us what to do.

Tim   October 25th, 2009 - 11:38 am

Any UN person that steps foot onto my property for whatever reason will be shot on sight. Its none of your
business what we do here.

Jason   October 25th, 2009 - 11:40 am

WTF do they think they are INVESTIGATING on SOVEREIGN US LAND?!! And our screwed up Obama government is ALLOWING THIS?! God help this country with this despot president and his cronies. Hugo Chavez must be laughing his ass off.

Axe-Victim   October 25th, 2009 - 11:43 am

Wouldn’t it be ironic if the UN discovers and reports that the housing crisis was caused by the democrats?

Nattylite   October 25th, 2009 - 11:54 am

I agree with everyone who wants to boot the UN out of our country. That building they occupy could house a lot of people in need. I’ll tell ya boys and girls, the rest of the world hates us because we are the most powerful force on the planet. And one of the youngest nations as well. We have sent millions of men and women to die for those who are unable or unwilling to fight for their freedom. Now we are the bad guy. I hope the proper officials check that womans credentials and boot her a@@ back to Geneva where she belongs. I would rather have a skunk hose me down than talk to someone from the UN. Dispicable.

sandyinohio   October 25th, 2009 - 11:58 am

Odin2010: …and get the US OUT of the UN! They are bloodsuckers on American taxpayers’ wealth.

migtex1234   October 25th, 2009 - 12:13 pm

Richard Brown   October 25th, 2009 - 12:14 pm

2CH 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Here is the solution, the only solution to our delima!!!!
