He was at Senator Thurmond’s birthday party and praised the old man by saying something like “things would have been different if you were president”. Senator Thurmond ran for president in the 50s and had a segregationist platform. So liberals connected the dots and said Lott was making a r@cist remark.

While I agree that Reid’s comments were racisist, I think most have failed to understand that the remarks were more racist to whites. He was talking about Obama being able to win the election because whites would not vote for a really dark black man who talks like a “negro”, whatever the hell that means. His point was that because Obama was not too dark and too “negro”, whites would put aside their supposed racism and vote for him. Am I totally off base here?
As long as Demmunists play Blacks and for as long as Blacks think they can play Demmunists, this kind of crap will never end. If Blacks take a long enough breather to take a long historical look at what the party has actually delivered compared to what they continually promise, maybe that will be the end of it–not holding my breath. Given the effort Demmunists have put into imbuing communist sensibilities into anyone stupid enough to listen to them, an epiphany of any kind seems unlikely. On the real plantations, Blacks at least had something to show for their obedience.

Even though this comment was made in the heat of a national race, it gives us, the American people, an unvarnished look into the thinking and thought process of Harry Reid. It smacks of good old boy 1930 thinking with regard to race, and the extent of what one will do for power. This type of thought should not stand regardless of which side of the isle you are on. As for the president accepting the weak assed apology it reminds me of the old cliche, “Always be sincere;even if you don’t mean it.”
