There are manual “rollers” you can buy for $10 that give you perfectly even distribution, giving the appearance of a machine rolled tobacco cigarette.

And, she’s definitely inhaling long enough.

What’s the big deal, she’s (potentially) smoking a plant, a plant that doesn’t include thousands of chemicals, insane amounts of tar/nicotene, etc.

Amazing how people are so ho-hum about a product (cigarettes) that knowingly cause cancer/death. Yet a simple plant put on earth (must have been the devil’s seed) is still illegal. Go smoke your cigarette and get a 30 second buzz. I’ll be cooking and vaporizing (heating, not burning the marijuana, thus no smoke) while you fools burn cigs and throw back gobs of prescription pills.

Greenbywater…….WRONG!…a machine roller could not roll joints back then. Pot was all leaves, seeds, and stems. It was extremely rare to get pot clean enough to use a machine roller. Besides that, no pot smokers took the time to roll “perfect” cigarette look-alike joints. And no way did she hold the hit long enough.

Uhm…ever heard of an herb grinder? I’m pretty sure those were around a half-century ago. Also, we see her take one hit/draw, so it truthfully can’t be determined from this clip.

Also, the ability to determine the quality of Marilyn’s rolling abilities can’t really be debated, as the clip only shows the item for a short time.

Though, I like that you don’t debate the rest of my points regarding the absurd illegality, double standard, etc. =)

It’s hard to tell what she’s smoking, but she’s actin’ like sumthin’ special was put in that thar cigar-ette, or her martini.

If you pause the film near the end it looks like a tan cig filter. It wasn’t
uncommon for us to pass a cigarett around back in those days.

I’m not willing to accept this person’s say-so. It’s not that I don’t think she was a walking pharmacy. She was. I just think this “found” footage a tad convenient, coming at a time when the legalize push is at its height.

And really, how would you go about telling Monroe wasn’t smashed on any one of the many other things she abused?

It’s a freaking Pall Mall or a Lucky Strike. It’s a filterless cigarette. They used to be very common.
