Seriously, it almost looked like a reflection from something that was moved and showed on the monitor. Who knows. All we need is another UFO story! We already have enough aliens in Congress who don’t understand us and the ones crossing the Rio Grande aren’t much better!

Appeared to simply be a bird flying past the camera, close to the lens, at a high rate of speed. These are seen regularly in footage and some like to suggest they are a form of “phenomena” called spears or rods. They’re birds people. Cameras are fun to play with to get all kinds of cool things from. When an insect of bird flies closer to the lens that the objects in the distance are to the lens, our imaginations love to suggest something weird. In this case….a bird.

If it’s something then it’s probably a rod.. but then again – it doesn’t have the distinct features of one….

It would be helpful to know what type of screen that it, whether it is rear-projection or LCD, and whether it is reflective. If reflective, it could be something shining from within the studio. If the subject is really on the tape, I have to ask what a ‘rod’ is … I’ve listened to thousands of hours of Art Bell / Coast to Coast, and never heard of such a thing

I do believe we’ve been visited on numerous occasions by ‘visitors’ during man’s past. To think that we are the only life form with intelligence in the universe is beyond ridiculous. I’m certain that the ‘visits’ would be very stealth and undetected by our rather primitive method used to watch our skies. Given time we will make contact with beings from another world and I sincerely hope I’m alive to experience this great moment in man’s history. Of course our governments will do their usual cover ups and think only in terms of ‘our’ stealing their advanced weapon systems rather that thinking what these travelers can teach us about ‘everything’ in the universe. This behavior only shows me how primitive we are as beings on a rather small, insignificant planet revolving around a star which is but one of trillions and trillions. Time will tell and inevitably we will know for certain that we are not alone.

Commonly called a “Rod”. See the 8/7 post. Caused by something flying very close to the camera at an angular speed faster than the scan rate. Probably an insect, but could be almost anything. I’ve run into trouble with the UFO people considering that it might be something as simple as that, but there’s bigger things to look into without worrying about bugs in front of cameras
