Mr. Hanks, my Grandfather was taken by the Japs away from his home and family in Indonesia and forced to work in the jungles of Burma on the Burma Thai railroad. He was a Math professor, andposed little threat to them. Meanwhile, my Father and Uncles were forceably marched across the country and placed in Internment camps with my Grandmother. The Internment camps here in the US were country clubs in comparision to the camps the Japs put my family in, in Indonesia. The Japanese never paid reparations. You have not and will never see the Japanese agonizing over the torture and death they brought to Indonesia and my fanily. No Japanese actors or directors will be making HBO specials and worrying about the racism the Japs showed all non-Japanese throughout the Pacific front.
