This reminds me of something that I saw on tv about 6 or 7 years ago. A guy opened his door after someone rang the bell, and the person at the door rammed a knife into the top of his head and ran away. The guy went to the ER and the x-ray showed that the knife blade was something like 6 inches long and completely embedded in his head. The guy who stabbed him, however, rammed the knife in in such a way that it barely touched any of the guy's brain. He had to undergo surgery to have it removed, but it didn't cause any lasting damage. After they tracked down the guy who did it, the police found out that he had the wrong house. He was intending to stab a rival drug dealer, but wound up on the wrong street.
