Touch the hand of God   January 13th, 2010 - 2:07 pm

The USA “as usual” will step up and help… then a year from now everyone will be back to bashing the USA….funny how the world hates the USA until we are needed.

Everyone give to the Red Cross please …..

It breaks my heart to think about the people who have had to live through this and for the loved ones and friends of those who are lost. I hope they find the help they need.

Very sad for Haiti   January 13th, 2010 - 2:22 pm

This is so sad. God help these people.

amy   January 13th, 2010 - 2:33 pm

What a way for the year to start , I truly hope its nothing close to that number .many are buried alive and hurt may never be able to get to, What a way to die .The world is stepping up which is expected cause you never know the day when you will need a helping hand , i live in florida and we felt the wrath of mother nature… and was happy when others came in to help.

I agree that the US will get bashed but we’ll bite our lips and take it as usual just as over all these years. The important thing now is to step up and help as we always do.

Robespierre   January 13th, 2010 - 2:56 pm

this is what happens to a country, where elitists have control for years.
papa doc, baby doc and the rest.now controlled by drug lords and crooked cops.this easily happens to a country with an unarmed public.

dan   January 13th, 2010 - 2:58 pm

The title made me wretch at P.Robertson even more than usual. but then WATCH the clip.

Haiti had past actions, pact with devil (ummm, if you say so??)
they have been cursed since (storms, hurricanes, etc)
they need to turn around as a nation and need our help now.

still nutty as can be. but the headline is terribly misleading.

Rexter   January 13th, 2010 - 3:17 pm

I think all Haitians in the US need to go to Haiti to help them….don’t come back.

Truth is we will get a wave of “refugees” and all these do-gooders will be absent when it comes to all the victims of the crime wave that will result.

Rexter   January 13th, 2010 - 3:21 pm

Where is Kanye West? Can’t he blame Bush for this?

vik   January 13th, 2010 - 3:30 pm

touch- i agree 110% ….

keri   January 13th, 2010 - 3:30 pm

You may be right about the bashing of America but at the forefront of this you have innocent children, men and women in desperate need of help. To look at the pictures that are coming available breaks my heart and I too, encourage EVERYONE to give to the Red Cross.

MagicMan   January 13th, 2010 - 3:57 pm

I was not aware until hearing it on the news today, a Catholic church down the road from me does missionary work at a disabled orphans mission in Haiti. They say the orphanage is not badly damaged and everyone there is okay, thankfully. I’m calling tomorrow to see what they will be accepting in the way of ‘hard’ goods (food, clothing, toiletries, etc). Lord knows I have tons of gently-worn girls’ clothes and shoes in several sizes.

I suggest everyone contact their local churches to see if they are similarly affiliated or are currently coordinating charity collections (and perhaps even volunteers) for the disaster struck people.

In the meantime, prayers for the folks in Haiti. That country has seen more than its fair share of unrest and troubles in its history … a lot self-inflicted by the wrong governments in power.

Military Qoo   January 13th, 2010 - 5:27 pm

Why aren’t Castro and Chavez and all those other big mouths not shoveling millions and billions to Haiti?

Oh yeah: because they don’t give a crap. At least Chavez allowed 30 people to go there and help.
That should be good for about .0001% of the effort needed.

Glad America, the awful Satan and destroyer of all life on earth, could help out.

william   January 13th, 2010 - 5:49 pm

Very unprofessional for this person to be showing this lack of control. Haiti has received billions of dollars and yet we keep giving more. We can help them but with control

Bob   January 13th, 2010 - 6:01 pm

God punishes Haiti for their run of transgressions – a warning to America – prepare and repent sinners!

anon   January 13th, 2010 - 6:47 pm

Hey william, the commentator who witnessed and narrated the live crash of the Hindenberg was called “unprofessional” too.

Zombie Apocalypse!

Travis   January 13th, 2010 - 7:55 pm

Pat is right that once the devil is allowed in things turn real bad. I Feel deply sorry for the innocent people and children. They deserve our help through missionaries who can show them not just the love and redemption of God but also the judgement of God. I am reminded of some of the quarters that circulated with heads on both sides. The proccess of making them is impossible to made a two headed coin but people thought they were really onto something when they got them. A real treasure they though, only to find they are a fake created by some fraud splitting a coin and glueing two heads together. They are a worthless fraud. To only speak of God’s love and not His Judgement too is the same worthless fraud as the two headed coins. Yes God loves the sinner and hates the sin but His rightousness is as strong as His love. One God two different sides of His rightousness. Even churches today only want to hear about the love of God and not His Judgement. I meet a so alled preaher the other day who said he takes everything in the Bible and makes it possitive about the love of God. That’s where churches are today. They even OK homosexuality by saying because God is a God of love its OK to be a homosexual Christian. A two headed coin!

Cubicle Dweller   January 13th, 2010 - 8:01 pm

I work for a major cruiseline. I wonder if the powers that be where I work could sacrifice a commercial sailing in the Caribbean and send the vessel to Haiti full of food and volunteers. It could be an off-shore hospital. A cruise ship can carry not only people, but cargo as well.

Michael   January 13th, 2010 - 8:32 pm

Unbelievable that someone would criticize a Salvation Army worker for being “unprofessional” and showing a “lack of control.” The man had gone without sleep since the earthquake and was doing what he could to alleviate suffering. He can be forgiven for showing the emotional impact of the devastation surrounding him.

Suzanne   January 13th, 2010 - 9:16 pm

Using a cruise liner — now that is a smart idea. Seriously

jbone   January 14th, 2010 - 12:03 am

sad how it takes a disaster of this magnitude to get the worlds attention. i was reading last year about how the people were eating “dirt cakes” and “mud cookies” for lack of food.. we are so blessed to be americans and yet half the idiots who live here act as though they hate it.
