District 24 lives a sheltered life. What you save on premiums to insurance you pay out in taxes to support the system – England and most other European and Scandinavian countries have a Value Added Tax, the VAT, that ranges from 18% to 25%. It goes mostly to gov’t sponsored health care.
You must have been absent the day they discussed the idea that when the gov’t gives you something it is not free to anyone – not even yourself – you pay for it with taxes. And you pay for the others that don’t or won’t.

If government run anything was more productive ie efficient than the private sector North Korea would be advanced and South Korea would be a hole. The Berlin Wall would have been to keep the West Germans out and obviously the USSR would have won the cold war. I understand you liberals are not advanced enough to understand how markets work, but you can’t deny that South Korea is 1000 times more advanced than North Korea, West Germany was far superior to East Germany and the USA and USSR don’t even compare.

Regardless if you are for social health care or not. If you support this Bill, You are not worthy of freedom. This bill has several features that are 100% unconstitutional, One being that the government can force you to purchase insurance or be fined, This is unconstitutional. The Constitution restricts the government from forcing anyone to Purchase anything. That alone is enough to kill this bill. If you do not have a problem with your government disregarding the Constitution it swore to uphold and protect.. Then you are as much a traitor to your country and freedom as those that voted yes on this Illegal Bill.
Lets hope that the Court still has some ounce of loyalty to the founding documents that made this country great and deems this bill Illegal when it is taken to the Supreme court.
By the way, just found out that this bill does create jobs, it turns out that the passing of this bill authorizes the IRS to hire 16,000 more agents to police your money, The IRS will also be in charge of monitoring if each of us has the GOVERNMENT REQUIRED INSURANCE. The IRS is now the BROWN SHIRTS we were fearing!

I don’t know where America works, but I do know we don’t pay our office help, processors and people that make it go 45k a year with 4 weeks paid vacation couple weeks of sick leave, and God only knows what other perks. For the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country. I look at my children and wonder how their lives will be affected by all of this debt. When Carter took office and my Dad lost his job, that recession was a major depression for me and our family. When Obama was attending the best schools on the tax payer dime, I was working two jobs and living at home and commuting to a state school. For 13 years, WE COULD NOT AFFORD AND DIDN’T HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE. I got health insurance when I finally graduated college and got a decent job. My family has had health insurance ever since…until this year. We can no longer afford insurance. What we wanted was reform. We wanted options to buy in larger pools. We wanted to stop paying the price that all the uninsured and illegal aliens have added to the premiums. Now, we will be forced to find a way to pay. I will pay my own way, but I refuse to pay for anyone else. I will fight to take back what I had, freedom to be a working stiff in Middle America. Defeat the progressives in both parties in Nov 2010!

Then these people will not be able to get coverage from other companies so guess where that leads? That’s right a public option run by the government! Of course there will be no requirement for proof of citizenship so all will be cared for and all of us will be paying for their care. I watched the arm pit Bill O’Reilly tonight and he made me sick. He felt like the right wing was over reacting and that we should take a wait and see attitude. That’s ok for a multi-millionaire like him and most of the members of Congress but for us it will mean that our kids will fall further behind in their lives and become more and more dependent on the government. We have to rise up and take back our country starting in November. If not the ballot, the bullet!

I have seen my President lie repeatedly since being elected. He seems to think everything he said while campaigning doesn’t count. He said the negotiations would be on CSpan (no negotiations, no CSpan); he said he would not pass health care with just 51 votes (he passed healthcare with 51); he said he was post partisan – he is the most partisan president in my lifetime. The relationships between Dems and Repubs is almost to the Humpty Dumpty point.
For the first time in my life, I cringe when I seen the Liar in Chief and really loathe his spokesman who is a sycophant and truly homely/ugly in appearance.
