The Conservative Response To SOTU

Ben Shapiro found Mitch Daniels' response to the State of the Union address too boring and without some much-needed substance. Check out his response to the President's address.

Amen to Ben Shapiro…

Whats_Up   January 27th, 2012 - 10:50 am

That was fantastic – kudos, Mr. Shapiro. You would get my vote for President, based on what you've just said.

Cowboy Logic   January 27th, 2012 - 10:51 am

Shapiro did good.

Wesley69   January 27th, 2012 - 10:51 am

Nice and short. Kind of puts it into perspective and calls it as it sees it. Democrats will call it mean-spirited, but so what. This is what a good portion of the people feel like!

It is the battle of our generation, for future generations!! We can't affort to lose it!!

Great stuff, Ben Sharpiro!!

My response would be of one that came early in his presidency…

YOU LIE!

Iamwitheileen   January 27th, 2012 - 10:56 am

Could someone get him a slot to speak to the Congress…because they need to be told how to do it and why!

There is only one 'real' conservative running in the presidential race…who gets it like this young man…and he will have MY vote when the time comes!

I have declared a MONEY BOMB for Santorum today to encourage him to continue on no matter the results in Florida…he is the only one NOT in bed with NWO organizations and who can stand up and speak out like this young conservative man.

BRAVO TO YOU YOUNG MAN…WITH YOUNG MEN LIKE YOU IN GOVERNMENT AND AT THE HELM…AMERICA WILL SURVIVE!

Start the countdown to Shapiro being called a racist because he doesn't like being lied to by nObama.

Deusexmachina   January 27th, 2012 - 10:59 am

Yes, he did….

If only our would-be leaders had the balls to say the same…

Thank you, old friend…

I will certainly check it out….

antilibterds   January 27th, 2012 - 11:39 am

Many good points. Particularly that the American voter has failed to hold their representatives to account and that some have also elected corrupt representatives.

But one has to also consider that some Americans want / prefer a corrupt representative to represent them.

IMCONSERVATIVE   January 27th, 2012 - 11:41 am

This guy needs to run for elected office. He tells it like it should be told. This is the speech that should have been given by Daniels.

bartty1962   January 27th, 2012 - 11:42 am

I like this guy but why is he not looking into the camera with his response?

Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar by Simon Sebag Montefiore

A very good book that in part details the agriculture (and human) disaster in Russia.

Washington76   January 27th, 2012 - 12:04 pm

Thank you for your recommendation, I will add it to my ever growing list. Thank you again!

CPeony   January 27th, 2012 - 12:07 pm

I will definitely look for it because I like war films and war books based on historical facts . Yeah, kinda strange for a female but oh well. I think I recommended a book on here a while ago called Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes. The best ever. Took him 30 yrs to write a factual in-depth realistic account of Vietnam trenches and how our men and boys (him being one of them) were used to fight a useless war.

a718925   January 27th, 2012 - 12:09 pm

You claim Iran is developing nuclear weapons – do you have any proof of this? Sounds like libel to me.

Why are you concerned with Israel any more than any other foreign nation (in this case, Israel isn't even a legitimate nation since it is borderless and just a UN creation)?

Railing against "regulations" as they just stopped contaminated orange juice coming in. How about those people who died due to contaminated food from China? Or their homes destroyed by contaminated sheetrock from China? You neocons keep up your pro-business/anti-American rhetoric. Please. When you hear nonsense about Americans not being qualified for jobs you KNOW you are listening to a shill for big business.

CPeony   January 27th, 2012 - 12:09 pm

Who cares. Close your eyes and listen.

CPeony   January 27th, 2012 - 12:10 pm

I see a career in the making for this wonderful person. Our country needs thousands of people like him.

Washington76   January 27th, 2012 - 12:14 pm

And nobody, NOBODY, is talking about inflation these days. I find it funny that the government considers the cost of inlfation on everything EXCEPT food and fuel. Well, duh, I think most of us eat and drive a car. And if you’ve been doing either of those two things lately, it is pretty scary out there.

Fuel prices are still way over $3 a gallon and if you shop at a supermarket you will see just how much food prices have soared. These two items are particularly deadly if you have a family and live in the suburbs. And yet do you hear anybody talking about it? Do you hear any of the Republican candidates mentioning it? PLEASE stop talking about income taxes. I could really care less what Romney or Gingrich made four years ago. I am REALLY concerned about what I’m paying for food and fuel righ now. And, unlike the depression, where you had deflation, now we have inflation PLUS a lousy economy.

I think the Obamas should drive to a suburban grocery store and take a look at what it takes to feed a family of four these days for one week. And I dare them to do that in an African-American community. Perhaps they are buying cheap food in those communities because it’s all they can afford?

LibertyWriter   January 27th, 2012 - 12:18 pm

Reckon CNN will air it?

Cali4niaPatriot   January 27th, 2012 - 12:30 pm

You know, something like that is worth pitching in for the Super Bowl ad. Maybe add a little humor.
Get everyone talking. He's right on from what I could tell.

theblessedresistance   January 27th, 2012 - 12:31 pm

hey genius, libel involves publishing and slander involves spoken word.

a718925   January 27th, 2012 - 1:06 pm

More like neoconservative response.

From_Equestria   January 27th, 2012 - 1:10 pm

If only you knew of what you speak of, yet all you truely speak of is pure stupidity.

Why are all liberals/progressives so uneducated.

Harlo   January 27th, 2012 - 1:14 pm

If only we would hear that kind of speech coming from Mitch Daniels or John Boehner… We've all been waiting and hoping that the Republicans in Congress would gets some fire in their bellies but we've been disappointed every time. It's really unbelievable and explains why so many people are leaving the Republican Party and it also explains why Newt's numbers have risen.

Dedjester   January 27th, 2012 - 1:31 pm

Did you notice that those examples you gave are for imported products.
Rmove alot of the ENVIORMENTAL regulations on farming here in the U.S. and see what we can do. Remove alot of the ENVIORMENTAL regulations on the coal and oil industries and see how fast we get off forign products.
Regulations for the purpose of protecting the consumer against injury or worse is not a bad thing. Regulations solely for the purpose of fining a company for non-compliance is an industry and job killer

Conservatism is the road to success.

Harlo   January 27th, 2012 - 1:43 pm

Because they control education in this country.

antilibterds   January 27th, 2012 - 4:30 pm

dude iran has acknowledged that is their goal. did it about 4-5 months ago

mrelvis   January 27th, 2012 - 4:41 pm

Well now, since you ask for proof, try this on for size:
1. The IAEA under el Baredai admitted that Iran is doing it. Furthermore (is that too big a word for you? It means "In addition to..") if Iran wanted to build reactors for energy generation – as they claim – they would build thorium reactors, not uranium reactors; thorium cannot be used for fissile material (sorry, I'm sure you don't know the meaning of "fissile, but it means "Big Boom" to liberals, as in very loud and destructive (Heck, sorry about using big words like "destructive)). Next, libel requires many elements to prove, and in the court of international (sorry again for big word) justice, you cannot "libel" a country.
2. I believe that the concern for Israel stems from two principles:
A. No one is "concerned" for Israel any more than any other nation that has avowed and admitted enemies at every border; and it is more than a UN creation – read historical accounts – even the Romans acknowledged the existence of Israel. But to liberals educated in liberal schools, none of this can be comprehended (again, sorry for the big words; let me say "understood").
3. WOW!!! They stopped the bad Juice! They don't enforce immigration laws, but bad OJ is a real shining achievement! (Darn, sorry about those big words again, but sometimes they fit…just look it up..if you can read.)
4. As to the people who died (accepting your statement without proof), over 100,000 died last year from prescription drugs…maybe we should have the customs agents go after Big Pharma? OK by me…
5. As to jobs, check what's going on in Alabama (a Southern state in the US, for you) after the illegals vamoosed back to Mehico…
6. I'll shill for Big Business any day over products of our education system like you.
My prayer is you don't vote…those of us who are really educated and trying to save the Constitution have enough to dowithout trying to stem the tide of stupidity…

KraZedSeXpooDle   January 27th, 2012 - 6:20 pm
