It’s interesting that the chiron said that TEA Partiers are 88% white. How would anyone even asses the racial makeup of the people that come to these rallies? It isn’t as if we are members of one group and we’ve been randomly polled about our ethnicity.
All that said, African-Americans make up 13.5% of the population of the United States. I don’t know about other minorities, or if they were lumped into the 88% number with the “whites”, but 12% of African-American participation would be pretty darn good.

Jesse Jackson Jr. and some of the other Black Caucus members were video recording on the cell phones as they passed through the crowd.
