Girl Loses Hannah Montana Prize Tix After Mom Lies About Dad Dying in Iraq

"My daddy died this year in Iraq," the little girl wrote in the essay. "I am going to give mommy the Angel pendant that daddy put on mommy when she was having me. I had it in my jewelry box since that day. I love my mommy."

While many fathers are fighting overseas (my husband is on his third tour), many kids are missing them and worried for their safety. For this woman to compose this fabrication (yeah, like her kid did this alone), send it in and then say she didn’t know the story had to be true, makes me ill. Maybe they should meet some of these families who really did lose soldiers. I doubt it would do these amoral people any good though.

Glad these people weren’t allowed to keep the tickets!

This woman is dispicable and raising dispicable children.

My son-in-law (Sgt. Buddy Hughie, Google him) was killed in Afghanistan on Feb 19th, 2007. My daughter and Buddy were married a mere 20 months. Fortunately Buddy was home for two weeks leave in November ‘06 when their baby son was born.

It was originally reported that this woman said that they would do anything to win. Now her sister said it was a “Christmas story” and she didn’t know it had to be true. Quite the heart warming Christmas story. Daddy killed in action.

Gosh, imagine how heartwarming it was when two guys showed up on our door step in dress green US Army uniforms at 9:40 pm and said it just like in the movies. “We regret to inform you that your husband Sgt. Buddy James Hughie has been killed in action.” More like a nightmare than a Christmas story.

This entire family should have their imigration status verified.

If this mother is willing to do anything to get tickets tell her to enlist in the US Army and I’ll personally buy her daughter tickets for the next concert!

Realy a dispicable family…. all of them.

I’m so glad they took the ticket’s away.
It might have ruined a little girl’s holiday but it’s going to teach her the lesson that negative action’s have negative consequences.
I hope those ticket’s are given to someone deserving.
And my condolences go out to Jimbo, and my prayer’s for the continued safety of Deb’s husband. Your family member’s are true heroes and you should be inordinately proud of them.

No shock here. Parents today are too busy giving their children what they want as opposed to what they need. Their child does no wrong. They have no business having chidren because they have no comprehension of what morality, discipline, accountability is all about.
