Now they are talking about a new Value Added Tax, a federal sales tax, that will affect everyone. Currently the VAT in England is 17% to pay for “free” health care and other gov’t programs.
Obama’s own words are “rates will increase dramatically” referring to utility rates after/if he gets ‘cap and trade’.

Under the current administration and it program proposals it is going to cost every American more to be an American. Those of us that won’t or can’t will be affected more than those that do or can, period. The dude that is milking the system welfare, your pork rinds, beer and cigarettes are going to cost more. (I understand that you probably don’t give a flying fig, because what you currently receive is net net gift from society) It does however mean you will have less purchasing power. My question is who in you life will you neglect as the country moves forward to satisfy you own selfish needs.

(ex. “there are 46-50 million people without health care in America” EVERY time this is what is reported and or parroted by the guys. The number may correct but does not tell us that includes 9-11mm illegal aliens, 6-9mm people between 20-30 making $75,000 annual salaries that OPT not to carry Health Insurance , 6-9mm people that qualify for public assistance that for one reason or another have not properly registered to existing programs.) The upper crust will always survive Government change because survival is always for sale. For those who are fortunate to make a wage that pays into the system, think of this administration’s idea of government as the owner of a pro sports franchise that makes the deal with the local government to build a stadium funded with local taxes to bring or keep a team in a city. ( If I had my way I fire every congressman, congresswoman, and senator and give them a major league franchise– should keep them busy for awhile, trying to use other people’s money.) At the risk of sounding like a gen-Xer (or younger) OMG!
We are facing serious threats to our Constitution and many of you are arguing
over scripture. Like it or not, our founding fathers, who personally believed
that God did have a place in our daily lives, did base our country’s
framework on Judeo-Christian principles. This does not mean that we are a Jewish
nation nor does it mean we are a Christian nation. Most people in our country do
identify themselves as Christians, at least in name only. The Judeo-Christian
principles the founding fathers used are based in the Old and New Testaments.
The original Christians considered themselves to be Jews who believed the Messiah
had come. They called themselves Jews as did Jesus. The rest of the Jews
continued to wait for the Messiah. And, when it comes down to it, Jesus was
killed by politicians who happened to wear the robes of the Jewish religious
elite because he threatened their power. EddieBlue, your anti-semitism is
showing. If for no other reason, we should continue to support the nation of
Israel because they do our dirty work for us by taking out nuclear reactors,
etc., that we are too afraid to take care of because it might be messy or other
countries might not like us. Hello, other countries don’t like us anyway! So,
let’s set our religious, or non-religious, differences aside. There are bigger
issues here that influence all of our lives, no matter what we call ourselves.
As a lifelong military-honoring, fiscal and social conservative, I would like us
to stop the in-fighting and start focusing on what is really happening in our
country. One of the reasons the Declaration of Independence was written was the
fact that the king of England “has erected a multitude of New
Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out
their substance.” Sounds like all the many, many “tzars” Obama has appointed
to oversee every aspect of our lives and to take our tax dollars without our
having elected them or Congress appropriating money for those purposes. Article
1, Section 8 of the Constitution states, “The Congress shall have Power to lay
and Collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide
for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties,
Imposts, and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.” Nowhere
does it say anything about the Federal Reserve or the EPA or any other group
being able to make decisions about collecting and spending OUR money. So, yes,
we should be concerned about the Federal Reserve, but don’t lose sight of the
big picture.
The federal government is employed by us, not the other way around.
They serve at our discretion. The buildings they work in and, in the case of the
White House, live in, the cars they ride in, the planes they fly in, the paper
they write on, etc., belong to us. They are violating the Constitution at every
turn, and they are getting away with it because we spend all our time arguing
about every issue that could be resolved by simply requiring the politicians to
follow the Constitution. This includes Obama. The Constitution states that
“No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at
the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office
of President…” The Obama camp tried to discredit John McCain’s eligibility to
the office by claiming he was not a U.S. citizen since he was born on a military
installation overseas (Panama Canal Zone). If candidate McCain needed to prove
he was really a citizen, Obama should be required to prove it as well. It sets
a rather nasty precedent if he is not a citizen and is allowed to stay in office.
The 10th Amendment to the Constitution states, “The powers not delegated to the
United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by the States, are reserved to
the States respectively, or to the people.” Most people function under the
mistaken belief that we are a democracy. We are not. We are a Federal, Democratic
Republic. Our people and our states are supposed to have power over the federal
government. It is time to stop petty bickering, take back our state and local
governments, and reign in the federal government. It’s not about religion or
what Ron Paul wants. It’s about what we, the people want. It’s about the
Constitution.
So, since we just celebrated our nation’s birthday, take a few minutes to read
the Constitution. Attend TEA parties, but don’t spend all your time at them
complaining and bickering about religion or a particular politician’s agenda.
Participate in developing strategies to stop all the nationalizing,
socializing, and taxing which, in some cases, is being approved by those on the
right side of the aisle as well as the left. The defense of our lives, our
liberty, and our Constitutionally guarenteed rights is too important! And, once
we have defended the Constitution, you are free to celebrate any religion or
belief you want or make any statement you want, no matter how ignorant…says
so, First Amendment.
It won’t be long now. It’s hard to tax people that don’t work anymore. I guess they can take away your homes but then you can go on welfare, which I’m did last week. No more worries and free money. I no longer have to pay for any liberal programs, I get them. Thank you tax payers of America.

and smell the coffee…America as we know it is disappearing
daily. Some things could be reversed if dealt with soon
but some are permanent. Maybe you just want all the rights
guarenteed by the Constitution for yourself. Rather
communistic of you. The masses can slave away while the
few in power sit back and tell us we should be grateful they
are taking our money, keeping us in slavery, and denying us
the God-given freedom we are entitled to. Maybe you think
none of it will ever effect you? To paraphrase the poem by
Martin Noemiller, “First they came for the wealthy, but I
wasn’t wealthy so I did nothing. Next they came for the upper-
middle class, but I wasn’t upper-middle class so I did nothing.
Then they came for the middle class, but I wasn’t middle class
so I did nothing.” Who will pay after that, you, Larse?
(If you care to know, the original poem was written during
World War II: First they came for the Jews, but I wasn’t a Jew…
Then they came for the Gypsies, but I wasn’t a Gypsy…
Then they came for the Communists, but I wasn’t a Communist…,
etc. I don’t have it in the correct order as I can’t find my
copy. It was written about the Nazis and ends with words to
the effect of: When they came for me, there was no one left
to stand for me. Think about it!)
The only thing too big to fail is America itself. We are
the beacon of hope for people all around the world. People die
in the attempt to reach our shores. When our country is in the
same miserable shape as every other third-rate nation, where
will we flee to?

Axlerod will say ANYTHING as if its truth. The fact is TAXES on 95% are going UP UP UP but I see they have no problem ignoring reality and CLAIMING reduction. Axlerod(Obama) lied, people died… will be the NEW cry heard thru-out our land. This administration is despicable!
