The first is, it exposed Van Jones for the lout he is. The more important aspect is that neither the NY Times, Wash Post, ABC, MSNBC, CBS carried a single word about this story until Jones mysteriously resigned. If you where a reader of these papers or viewer of those networks, this must have come as a surprise to see one of Obama’s “czars” to fall on his sword. So basically, the mainstream news media is, for all intents and purposes, a de facto propaganda wing for the democrats. Ergo, they are untrustworthy and invalid. That is the larger story here and one that should get as much or more press than Van Jones himself.

Here is some Chicago information which, I hope, will illustrate why any administration just has to get rid of certain people: “Jeff Fort spent time at Cook County Temporary Juvenile Detention Center and at the Illinois State Training School for Boys in St. Charles, where he met Eugene “Bull” Hairston. Around 1959, Fort and Hairston formed the Blackstone Rangers gang at St. Charles. The Blackstone Rangers comprised youth from the Blackstone Avenue area of Woodlawn, assembled to defend themselves against other gangs in the South Side. Hairston was the gang’s leader with Fort as second in command. The Rangers fought rival gangs, especially the Devil’s Disciples.
During the early 1960s, Fort earned the nickname “Angel” for his ability to solve disputes and form alliances between the Rangers and other gangs. By the mid 1960s, Fort assembled a coalition of 21 gangs with about 5,000 members. He organized the coalition under a governing body called the “Main 21″, composed of 21 gang leaders or “generals.” As the Ranger organization grew, it became involved in community and political activism. The gang also received support from Presbyterian minister Reverend John Fry who advised Hairston and Fort how to manage their organization.
Under Rev. Fry’s guidance, Fort obtained a charter from the State of Illinois to form a political organization, Grassroots Independent Voters of Illinois, in 1967. Fort’s organization applied for and received a US$1 million federal grant from the now-defunct Office of Economic Opportunity to fund a program to teach job skills (such as day care) to gang members. The Rangers also received grants and loans from private foundations. Unlike many gangs, the Blackstone Rangers were not considerered outsiders but had been largely accepted by Chicago society, with Jeff Fort even receiving an invitation from President Richard Nixon, following the 1968 election to attend the 1969 inaugural ball. After Hairston was imprisoned in 1966, Fort assumed command of the Rangers. By 1968 he renamed it to the Almighty Black P. Stone Nation or Black P. Stones. The Stones also gained control of vice in the South Side, demanding protection payments from prostitution operations and drug dealers.

This is why every person serving under the President of the U.S. must be throughly vetted. During the 1970s, the gang trafficked in cocaine and heroin. In 1983, Fort was convicted of drug trafficking charges and sentenced to 13 years in prison. He was sent to the Federal Correctional Institution at Bastrop, Texas. Fort continued to lead El Rukn through daily telephone calls from prison. He ordered members of El Rukn to meet with Libyan officials. The gang agreed to commit terrorist acts in the U.S. in exchange for US$2.5 million. 1987, Fort was tried and convicted for conspiring with Libya to perform acts of domestic terrorism. He was sentenced to 80 years imprisonment and transferred to the USP Marion, the federal supermax prison in Marion, Illinois.[5][11][12] In 1988, Fort was also convicted of ordering the 1981 murder of a rival gang leader and was sentenced to 75 years in prison to be served after the completion of his terror conspiracy sentence. David Sirota seems to me to have less cred than Van Jones. Why does CNN even give him face time? He is strictly inflammatory – no substance. It seems to me, though, that the claims of “national hero” are a bit lacking. What bona fides can Jones produce to his commitment to green? How many green jobs have be created with the $80B under his control aside from the people that ran the “clunkers” website?

Anybody ready for Obama’s “breathing” czar? Yes, the breathing czar is in charge of allowing you to take a breath. You are allocated so many breathes per month, beyond that, you have to pay a tax. Illegal aliens can breathe all they want with the government breathing credit. Prisoners can take as many breaths as they want, too. The breathing czar is also in charge of redistributing oxygen from those that have too much to those that don’t have enough. The government overhead in redistributing oxygen is an approximate 40% penalty.
The proposed breathing czar promises to promote conservation by taxing the CO2 exhaled by each person who makes above $110,000 per year.
If you are old and need more oxygen, a breathing board of directors will determine if you have the ability to contribute to the tax base or not. If not then your oxygen will be turned off.
Liberal thinkers world wide have been floating the idea that the world will soon run out of oxygen, and that we need to “thin-the-herd” so to speak to ensure that there will be plenty of oxygen for future generations.

Think about this: if Fox News and racist smear tactics rule the world, then why hasn’t Obama himself resigned? Because Obama’s record is solid enough for him to stand his ground. Jones’ was not.
