Poison pill number one….the Stupak Amendment….NO taxpayer funded abortions.

Tell your congressman that you support the Stupak Amendment in the House. It could KILL ObamaCare.

Sorry Army of Davids, That isn’t the only thing I object to. It would be a mistake to tell my congressman that I support the Stupak Amendment when there is so much wrong with this bill.

I have private heath care through my company. I’m happy with it so I don’t see what the problem is. If I didn’t have health care through my company, I would have health care through the VA. I served 4 years in the military so therefore I can go to the VA hospital and get treatment and just pay a co-pay of about $10. If I need a perscription, I pay a co-pay of about $10. So, If you want Government health care, serve in the military for a few years and you have health care. So whats the problem? Oh I see, people want free care with out giving any service to their country.
So whats my point? Everyone I feel should put in a few years of service to their country. In return, you get guarantee health care if you need it. Something else you get when you serve is college gant money so you can get education and get a good job that provides health care. All a person has to do is finish high school, not have a criminal record, not be on drugs, and be physically fit to serve in the military. Is that asking too much. Oh by the way, you have to be a US citizen.

Obama’s summits are for show. He makes his mind up what he wants to do, then
brings others in for a show to the public to “appear as if he is reaching out”
and then goes to the position: “well, I tried, and we’ll be working on
incorporating these Republican ideas” all the while missing the entire point
of the opposing side, i.e. SCRAP THE BILL and let’s work incrementally to
reduce healthcare costs. American doesn’t want the government to be in control
of their healthcare!

say what?   March 1st, 2010 - 4:05 am

“…and then that’s what elections are for…” (huh??????????)
yes obama as in Scott Brown, but obviously you still refuse to see what’s on the table.

helping who?   March 1st, 2010 - 4:09 am

healthcare of individuals has no business in the hands of Fed. PERIOD.
THAT’S THE STARTING POINT, imo.

secongly, how can any with at least a noodle in their head even attempt to convince
us that they are seeking a better solution when they ignore the first problem which
is TORT? how do you do that? and where are the incentives for small businesses?

this is such a piece of SH to make sure obama sets up his friends for life by means
of government insurance that it makes you want to puke. these people are so obvious with
no shame whatsoever.

I think the ‘Summit’ showed a few things:
1 It showed that Republicans are NOT the party of NO, and that calling them ‘the Party of No’ was a political spin with no grounds on reality.
2 It showed that the Republicans know more about the Bill than some Democrats in the room, including President Obama.
3 It showed that the Republicans had submitted ideas to the Party in Control, but they were not listened to because they clashed with Obama’s plan.
4 It showed a Republican Party seriously willing to represent the will of the People Vs a Democrat Party willing to impose the will of Obama.
5 By the end all the charade, all intention to ‘appear to be listening’ has gone out of the room. Mr. Obama made the only truthful statement of the day: The Democrats will impose this plan on us because they have the votes to do it.

As far as I’m concerned every single person in that room missed the mark completely and I don’t trust any of them any more. I think the TRUE Conservative movement needs to take back it’s party the RNC and get back to core principals.

I find it amusing that CNN is airing what appears to be ‘negative’ views of the anointed one. Is the worm turning?? Barry will find out the truth in 11/2010… I can’t wait!

noyo   March 1st, 2010 - 2:37 pm

The Americna people do not what socialised medicine, what part of that don’t they get. Soliacism does not work. The only people in this country that want socialised medicine are the free loaders, free loaders do not pay the bills, working people pay the bills.

If this bill is so great then the president and congress must be on the same health plan they want for the rest of the country. If they don’t want it for themselves, then you know it got to be crap they are pushing off onto the public. If they don’t want it for thier familys then I don’t want it for mine.

Joe   March 1st, 2010 - 4:50 pm

I drink, smoke and have high cholesterol. You will take this healthcare plan wheather you like it or not.

Barry
