Abortion is a moral issue that has been of much contention in this country for a very long time. It is a very personal matter and neither the federal or state government should fund abortions because of this reason.
Off subject a little, but we finally figured out what Harry can use for negotiation on the final vote. When and if he uses the reconciliation ploy to push this beast over the top, 9 dem sens will get a “get out of jail card” and be able to cast a no vote. In fact I imagine Nancy will make 30 friends in the H Of Reps too. Boy are those babies going to be worth a ton. Come to think of it Nancy may be able to extract a small honorarium for that ticket.

I wonder why, after all this time, a private fund hasn’t been created to supply abortions free of charge to those who can’t afford them. Surely with the support of super-rich benefactors like George Soros and the Hollywood elite, as well as all the politicians and citizens who share this cause, the problem could be solved without using taxpayer dollars. In this way, I’m not forced to support something I see to be immoral, and the recipient of the abortion is grateful for the generosity of those who support her. Too simplistic, of course it is. The real reason for the public abortion debate isn’t about the right of a woman to choose, or about her reproductive health, but about weakening the will of faithful men and women by forcing them to act against their belief.
Basically the White House wants to sell him the language of the bill. Between the lines it reads like this:
“We have five women who have been close to you over the last 10 years, all of them are wanting to tell the media that they had sexual relationships with you, we, at the White House, only want to protect you from the vultures, and have so far kept them quiet, but we need you to help us keep them quiet, and the only way is if you vote for the bill.”
