Study: Franken Won Election Thanks to Felons’ Illegal Votes

The six-month election recount that turned former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.

As if this wasn't long suspected that the mysterious ballots that projected Franken to office were fraudulent.

Missy8s   July 13th, 2010 - 2:04 pm

Surprise surprise surprise, Al Franken is a loony leftist liberal crook empowered by corrupt bureaucrats….

mikemc1970   July 13th, 2010 - 2:06 pm

Wow, so ACORN was in Minnesota registering voters as well?

metamarcisf   July 13th, 2010 - 2:08 pm

Obviously, the first priority of any convicted felon in the state of Minnesota was to sneak their way onto the voting lists so they could cast a ballot for Al Franken. This must have been some kind of complex conspiracy within the Minnesota prison system. I wonder if the Democrat wardens purposely paroled democratic felons expressly so they could vote for Franken instead of Coleman. It's amzing though, out of hundreds of felon votes, every single one was cast for Al Franken and not ONE for Coleman. There is no question that this election was hijacked illegally and Coleman should be send to Washington today, via Fed Ex, to rightfully take his place on the senate floor so he vote against financial regualtory reform.

Thanks again, Breitbart, for exposing the liberal consiracy in the US election system.

RightUnite   July 13th, 2010 - 2:10 pm

Soooo, how about telling us something we don't already know…… Who the h*ll in their right mind would vote for this idiot, other than felons, and stupid *ss libs???

owlworks   July 13th, 2010 - 2:10 pm

"The people who cast the votes don't decide an election, the people who count the votes do."

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 2:13 pm

How else could Franken beat that fine candidate, Norman Coleman. it has to be the felons.

leroitroisieme   July 13th, 2010 - 7:14 am

What will they do about it? Nothing! This is no honor or self-respect on the far-left. They want to win at any cost. The real sad part is that the Republicans will not file a law-suit. They have the proof. Al Franken needs to be kicked out. Weren't there dead people who voted too?

Deusexmachina   July 13th, 2010 - 2:15 pm

Hell, Minnesota has thousands of registered voters over the age of 100….must be something in the water…

MustafaJones   July 13th, 2010 - 7:18 am

Why can't Minnesota elect normal people ? First Jesse Ventura and now this clown Franken !

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 2:19 pm

How do they know who the felons voted for ? I thought it was a secret ballot in Minn ?
I read the article and it never stated that the felons actually voted for Franken ? where is this info coming from ?
I guess Minn will have 6 years to find out how a gop run government could let this happen to one of their own "maybe" !

Talengtp   July 13th, 2010 - 2:20 pm

Democrat Voter fraud?? SHOCKER!

breto33   July 13th, 2010 - 7:20 am

I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it – FELONS like me

BPHIL56   July 13th, 2010 - 2:20 pm

Who exactly did this study that said felons "May" have decided the vote? was it the heritage Foundation, or maybe FOX News? Give it up folks. Al won, Norm lost, end of story.

By the way, how many Republican ex-cons do you know?

Deusexmachina   July 13th, 2010 - 2:24 pm

Hell, they were driving illegals to the polls. Two Illegals working at the same jobsite as my brother, showed up with 'I voted' stickers on their jackets…..

Baloshka   July 13th, 2010 - 2:25 pm

The ex-con Republican Caucus was poorly attended.

Will_Antonin   July 13th, 2010 - 2:25 pm

Let me express what I'm sure will be an unpopular take on this story.

There's a concept in sports that games are not won or lost on a bad call by the ref. If the game was that close, the losing team failed to rise to the occasion. If you soundly beat your opponent, a bad call won't change the outcome.

Republicans need to follow a strong conservative agenda and win soundly on that. If they fail to do so, I think they deserve to lose. And if they run as strong conservatives and still lose, then the problem lies with the electorate and we need to educate them why the first principles of the Constitution are more attractive than the shell game, hucksterism offered up by the likes of Franken.

Yes, we should pay attention to election fraud. Of course. But this should not cover over the Right's own failures to sell what everyone should want to buy in the first place. We should put watchdogs in place so the Left doesn't get away with this again. But we should also educate our public (the young especially) as to why conservatism and liberty are preferable to liberalism and statist control.

jake98   July 13th, 2010 - 2:26 pm

Once more, not overly surprising. I think the bigger problem here though is that it took this long for them to sort through the votes. Now that the election has been certified, and Coleman conceded (long ago) there is nothing that can be done, Franken is going to get to keep his seat.

Hopefully there are some lessons learned from this, and the review process will become quicker because of that.

In reference to the end of the report "that the findings are riddled with errors" I'm willing to guess that the "errors" they are pointing out would probably be all truth, and they need to try and cast it in a negative light as fast as possible.

bunnyma5   July 13th, 2010 - 2:27 pm

more of the "Chicago" style thuggery at work…ACORN, SEIU, what's next? the 2010 elections, of course….win at any cost… no honor, principles, values need apply…Crime, Inc at home….

These types of criminal actions are going to continue as long as we the American people elect persons who have a history of hatred and criminal activity. Illegally affecting the outcome of elections is acceptable now.
This President is a comrade of Bill Ayers who is a murderer and terrorist. The best judgement for a person is the company that he keeps. Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Malik Zulu Shabazz, etc. The American people voted this guy into office knowing this. You get what you ask for.

mikemc1970   July 13th, 2010 - 2:39 pm

Not unless he is also a Republican. Obamas DOJ can't actually afford to start the precedent of acknowledging Democratic crimes, can they?

MondayC   July 13th, 2010 - 3:23 pm

A flip-flopper republican vs an SNL alumni.

Important part: 341 people simply VOTING doesn't prove that Al Franken illegitimately won, unless Minnesota Majority can prove that 312 of them voted for Al Franken (approximately 9-to-1).

kay   July 13th, 2010 - 8:23 am

If they have to win by cheating….then they have won nothing. My question is where do we find ethical people to uphold the laws, if every single one of the “D.C. politicians are crooked? Every single one of them, Dems and Repubs, can be bought, bribed or black-mailed. Name one who has not?

I am sooooo ashamed of the Dumocrat party. So sorry I supported such despicable, unethical, lying, cheaters for the last 30 years. I am not one of them now, and will never again support them. ( proudly admit…I never voted for BO, because I knew “who” he was, and “where” he was going.)
I spent 40 years as a democrat and wanted to do the right thing for my country, even cried when JFK was killed. (Little did I know what a first class jerk he was). We all wanted another JFK….
What we have now are Dumocrat Socialists.

Repubs…..get smart. Campaign in colleges. Those 20-25 year olds are the most gullible, non truth seeking people on the face of the Earth. They believe everything they are told in college, research nothing without credit, and act without question. The people who are hardest to control? The over 40 crowd who has seen it all, done it all and know better. They don’t buy into words, they rely on history.

This site is interesting….if you don’t have time to do a lot of research.
If anyone wants to read what is being done actively for this country…..without media bias, read:

BP,
The evidence of election fraud in elections of the recent past is legion and indisputable. Google it anywhere you like. Denial is not a river in Egypt. That said, the job of pendulums is to swing. Are you willing to deny voter fraud or the need for election reform knowing when that pendulum does swing, you will be the one disenfranchised as was Gore in Florida? Hanging chads ring a bell? Just askin.

A country that cannot or will not guarantee clean elections forfeits freedom and self determination. Yet you seem very comfortable forfeiting your right to clean elections, for temporary political currency.

Cheap date?

MondayC   July 13th, 2010 - 3:27 pm

It's sad that you think people with different opinions need to kill themselves, but also sad that you can't even spell Minnesota. What kind of patriot can't even SPELL the states?

2800 felons voted. According to Gallup 80-90% of felons vote Democrat. It is clear Franken is in the Senate due to fraud. After the next election the new Attorney General of Minnesota should re-open this. After throwing out '08 results replace this fool.

Missy8s   July 13th, 2010 - 3:32 pm

My bad, I dinged you on accident…

Bic, that's funny!

MondayC   July 13th, 2010 - 8:32 am

It was 341 felons just a few moments ago…

EDIT: I love how this comment has a -1 rating. I took a fact straight out of the conservative group's report. Facts must have a liberal bias.
And it's also funny that this study was released so recently, yet it's already been exaggerated by over 800%

Patkean   July 13th, 2010 - 3:32 pm

No ACRON helped elect Minnesota's Attorney General. This office is in control of how an election is conducted. It refused to open up this case. Similar to Holder and the Black Panthers.

There are 2 kinds of Americans: free thinkers and democrats.

Chameberlain   July 13th, 2010 - 8:33 am

Just imagine a Republican stealing the election in this manner; the cries from idiots like Bolshka would be deafening. This group who identified the felon voters needs to come forward and put the felon's names up and then void the election. Whether its a Droan like the noted fool or a Republican, we need to have integrity in the elections. That is unless Bolshka wants to live in Russia. Where does this end – how much are Americans willing to give up ?

BPHIL56   July 13th, 2010 - 3:34 pm

TS, I am not forfeiting my right to a clean election, just questioning the study. I understand it was done by a right wing group. Are you comfortable taking the wird of people with an agenda and no real evidence. Cheap date indeed.

fulljump   July 13th, 2010 - 8:35 am

2004 Washington state Governor Race, Republican Dino Rossi was declared the winner in the initial automated count and again in the subsequent automated recount. It wasn't until after the third count, a second recount done by hand, that Christine Gregoire, a Democrat, took the lead by a margin of 129 votes. They found lost ballets in a car trunk, among other places like some foyer… I mean really how do you lose ballots? Have they never heard of a log where everybody who touches the things sign their names and the numbers are noted?
In many counties, more ballots were counted than there are registered voters identified as voting.
In at least one county, many provisional ballots were placed directly into counting machines on election day rather than being reviewed and validated to ensure that they were cast by eligible voters who did not cast another ballot.
Illegitimate votes were cast by convicted felons whose civil rights were not restored, deceased persons, and persons other than the registered voter whose ballot was voted.
Ballots were “enhanced” and altered in a manner that permanently obscures the original mark of the voter, in violation of state law.
Counties treated voters inconsistently in their decisions whether to count ballots that were incorrectly rejected.
Inconsistent and changing standards were employed in determining when a ballot was an overvote or and undervote.
Military and absentee ballots were mailed too late to be received by election day.
Private information about provisional ballot voters was released, and third parties were allowed to use that private information to procure documents seeking to validate the ballots.
Washington State Supreme Court ruled on the decisions of two lower courts disallowing hundreds of ballets in Washington’s King County because of some name-signing mess. The ballets were initially boned up by King County Democrat election workers, and Republicans claim the 'Crat-run elections board failed to send out hundreds of absentee ballots to troops overseas who live in the county and tossed 90 others due to a similar signature snafu, But democracy be damned, this is about giving Gregoire what's she's entitled to as the Democrat candidate for Governor of the State of Washington, Everybody knew there was cheating going on and nobody could stop it. Minnesota same same same everybody knew there was cheating they even knew how, and nobody could stop it.. In democrat strong holds they do what they need to do to win. We need to video everything that happens in November because if we don’t stop it nobody will.

BPHIL56   July 13th, 2010 - 3:35 pm

Kind of like what every other member of congress thinks. So what???

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 3:36 pm

What did ACORN do ?? they register voters, they dont vote for them . the acorn canard dont fly with the facts. . they need to cahnge the way they pay the kids getting the sigs and they will stop inventing people , cartoon characters, or super heroes on their forms. But there has yet to be any proof of voter fraud as a result.

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 3:38 pm

wow.. how long did that take you to 'mimmic' my post? it's so typical of your type, so unoriginal.

Joseph_McCarthy   July 13th, 2010 - 8:50 am

The glaring elephant in the room is the fact that enough Minnisotans voted for this so called comedien to make the election close enough for the crooks to steel the election by stuffing the ballot box with the illegal votes of felons! And whose money bought off those involved in the vote recount to allow this absurd result? My bet is the money trail leads right back to the international communist movement and George Soro's deep pockets! If this is the way elections in this country are going to be run, who will even want to vote. It's more like they run things in the banana republics and dictatorships of the world – PATHETIC! THE JOKE IS ON ALL OF US!

Chameberlain   July 13th, 2010 - 3:53 pm

I really could care less if the election was certified by the Sec of State. If it has been proven to be fraud, what are laws for ? Prosecute the felons for voter fraud and conduct another election for the seat. This is not the 1st time as others who posted here have said, including WA state.

All those vote should have been thrown out because they were misplaced making them invaid. But of coarse the democrats would had found the votes somewhere else.

mg24   July 13th, 2010 - 4:30 pm

I don't fully agree with your take. There are many other factors that are in play here. It's not as simple as playing a good game. Republicans have been losing elections because they think they will win solely on the basis of their principals, but the other team is not playing the same game. When you start piling on the fact that the media decided long ago to not do their job and inform the people, problems with voter intimidation and illegal voting, our education system failing miserably at educating but succeeding at brainwashing, it's a wonder that the republican lost by such a small margin.

If the media looked out for the people and did some actual reporting, there is no way Franken would have won. I fully believe that media carries the brunt of responsibility for our current turmoil, because they no longer inform and keep the government in line but rather spread the propaganda.

TexasStomp   July 13th, 2010 - 9:30 am

I don't need to take ANY group's WORD for it, BP. I do my OWN HOMEWORK and I work most elections. I know about election fraud because I HAVE SEEN IT AND I HAVE STOPPED IT. Don't need anyone to tell me about it.

My question to you is, have you done YOUR homework? If so, why are you even questioning the FACTS of the article. If you HAVE DONE YOUR HOMEWORK you KNOW election fraud is rife.

Your post, while relevant to a debate club meeting, for our purposes moving forward to November elections evinces MISSION CREEP.

VOTER FRAUD in ANY election is the issue

PREVENTING IT is the MISSION, agreed?

BPHIL56   July 13th, 2010 - 4:34 pm

TS, I question the facts because there are none. Speculation and inuendo at best. I agree 100% that we have to stop election fraud but there is nothing here. that's all I'm saying.

TexasStomp   July 13th, 2010 - 4:43 pm

Hey Grizzly,
first I'm stuck in AZ and am speaking from personal experience here. Don't know where you are but am very interested in the legal distinction. Seems like fuzzy logic to me if we're talking election fraud in general. If we're stickin to this one story….can't speak to the facts of it.

In general terms, if a voter who is not allowed to vote by reason of a felony conviction VOTES how do you categorize that? Voter fraud? Voter registration fraud? Or both.

When an illegal here is registered…..that's registration fraud.
If they vote before their ineligibility to do so is discovered, and their vote must stand or every vote in that precinct must be thrown out…..that's election fraud in that "ringers" illegally vote they call into question all "anonymous" votes cast at that polling station. Unable to determine which vote is theirs, what does the law dictate be done? Toss them all out or count illegal votes cast by illegally registered voters?

claspur   July 13th, 2010 - 4:44 pm

Yeah, and don't forget the Algore-style recounts, like in Florida too.

Franklin would be funnier if He wasn't so obtuse.

Dave_in_Oregon   July 13th, 2010 - 4:45 pm

Missy8s   July 13th, 2010 - 4:46 pm

And the sun still rises…

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 4:51 pm

I would suggest that you write Governor Pawlenty and ask him how such a travesty could happen under his watch.

Then ask for the proof that these felons voted, then for the proof that they voted for Al Franken.

then, just maybe this issue would have teeth. Right now this is just another red herring for the great unwashed.

Holdmynose   July 13th, 2010 - 4:52 pm

That's why the dems. spent so much effort to get Sec .of States elected. They decide which votes count .

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 4:53 pm

I think its the "proven" part that the rest of us are having trouble dealing with. there is only a study by a right wing group. The Republican Governor and his republican staff says the election was legit. i guess some of prefer to deal in fact , while others in specualtion.

Wasilla_Grizzly   July 13th, 2010 - 4:55 pm

It was called Norm Coleman with Pawlenty overseeing the mistake riddled election. How is this guy going to be able to run a country ( 2012) if he cant even run a simple state election ?? Jesse Ventura even pulled that off.

Will_Antonin   July 13th, 2010 - 10:00 am

mg24,

I think you're right: there are a lot of other factors in play, and I certainly agree with your comments on the media and educational establishments' complicity. In light of those factors, any Right-leaning candidate starts at a disadvantage.

I guess I'm mostly concerned with the Right pointing out such adversities not as things we must fight harder to overcome but as things that excuse (or at least distract from) our own faults, the areas we need to improve ourselves.

The analogy isn't perfect by any stretch, but think of it as like the contrasting approaches to racial bigotry posed by someone like Booker T. Washington and, say, Al Sharpton. The former argued we should work harder and rise above adversity; the latter tends to complain when things don't go the way he likes and wants someone "out there" to fix it.

I'm just thinking aloud here, but it seems that the Franken story should amount to more for us conservative than "Oh, look. Here are those dishonest Democrats again". It should prompt us to make our message stronger and get it out more clearly to more people.

And, as you rightly note, it should get us fighting more strongly against the entrenched leftist control of media and educational institutions.

I think sites like Breitbart and Newsbusters can be useful in reforming the media (or at least holding them accountable). Or in bypassing them altogether.

Sites like mindingthecampus.com or campus reform.org seem like good starts to drawing attention to the problems with our educational establishments.

If anyone out there has other sites of note, I'd love to hear of them.

*Check-out the second article on the left column by, Pam Geller on "American Thinker" 's site.

She blames what this administration could do(an 'October Surprise') prior to November mid-terms….
I see any surprise as being done by powers far-greater thatn this merry band of marxists-though.
(Think 'Bilderberg Group'….. they're the force that's running the whole global show now.))

That's pretty much the Democrat party, felons, pre-felons and unconvicted felons. that's what happens when morals are abandoned and the only constraits on behavior are related to the liklelihood the behavior will result in an immediate butt kicking or worse, not a problem in liberalism land where enforcement of morals, ethics, and civil behavior is the crime.
