Carnahan says the meeting was to educate senior citizens on the health care bill. Since these union thugs are exempt from the public option why the hell were they bussed in? Are they part of the education program? Screw the unions, buy american products not made by communists.

Cops threatened to arrest people for tresspassing if you tried to go over there.
The cops said they were just doing as ordered that it was not there event. Event organizers told them who to let through.

HEY NUMBSKULL…if you get into an auto accident on the way home, WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THE HOSPITAL VISIT AND YOUR MEDICAL BILLS? Wait a minute…NOW all of a sudden you will want “government interference”. But don’t worry, hospitals can’t turn you away, you will get free medical care because you can’t afford it and they can’t force payment from you, and the rest of us will eventually pay through higher medical costs (the hospital have to recover their money somewhere) which in turn will drive up insurance premiums. You, of course, will be fine. You got medical care (free), didn’t have to use “government” health care (so you can tell yourself that you aren’t freeloading), and can go back shrieking at the next tea bag event.
These Rethugs have no idea about what is being proposed and have not tried to find out.They will go to town hall meetings and caused chaos and shout things like keep the federal government out of my medicare.
There is no credible way to look at what has been proposed by the president or any congressional committees and conclude that these will result in a government takeover of the health-care system. That is a flat-out lie whose only purpose is to scare the public and stop political conversation.
People who don’t know that Medicare is a government program probably aren’t reacting to what President Obama is actually proposing.
They may believe some of the disinformation opponents of health care reform are spreading,but the driving force behind the town hall mobs is probably the same cultural and racial anxiety that’s behind the “birther” movement.Thus the name calling, Obama is a this and a that.The signs with the Nazi symbols.
Once again the Republicans are using the Atwater strategy that has played a central role in American politics every since Republicans realized that they could advance Republican fortunes by appealing to the racial fears of working-class whites.
Thank goodness voters who can be swayed by appeals to cultural and racial fear are a declining share of the electorate.
