HEY!! Glenn is not that fa…..um, on second thought yeah he is. Never mind….those South Park guys are pretty funny though…

jaw   November 12th, 2009 - 2:50 pm

I have to say–this was pretty funny. I’m not a big South Park fan, and I love Beck—but they nailed it pretty good. If you can’t have fun, is anything worth it?

I see the South Park guys got the NEA memo from the White House.

Derrylane   November 12th, 2009 - 3:23 pm

Love it !!

Shiori   November 12th, 2009 - 3:26 pm

There’s so much more they could lampoon, based on everything in the News and in Pop Culture, and they chose to make the same jokes as everybody else? I mean, how many blackboard jokes have we seen in the last couple weeks? I thought they would at least have a fresh way to rip on Beck.Trey and Matt have been in Hollywood too long.

WhereIsManBearPig   November 12th, 2009 - 3:43 pm

Where are all of the clips of ManBearPig on YouTube??? You know, the episode that dared to make fun, and expose the ridiculous AL GORE GREEN RELIGION for what it is.

Why did the ABC “V” show producers change? You know…the show that poked fun at OBAMANIA.

You shall not make fun of Liberals and Progressives in Hollywood.
Attention people of Earth…You do NOT make fun of AL Gore and the Obama Administration.

Jana   November 12th, 2009 - 3:50 pm

I felt like I was watching some public service announcement targeted for elementary school children. “Don’t be a follower children” Example- dorky principle= bad, group mentality= stupid, girl student president= smart, hip.

They think this discredits Beck’s message. If I were a fence sitter, I would wonder what they were so afraid of to warrant this much attention, and energy. I agree, the blackboard shtik is old, and lame.

IceCream Rover   November 12th, 2009 - 3:55 pm

I just love cartman, but then again I like all little boys, especially the pudgy ones like myself. We need to all get together for some ice cream children, it’ll be on me!

Jana   November 12th, 2009 - 3:55 pm

WIMBP- You are right! it’s funny, where did those clips go? All aspects of the media are completely under the control of the liberal progressives in this country. Tom Cruise could not control them, but Gore, and Obama certainly can.

Bilbo   November 12th, 2009 - 4:01 pm

South Park has been going downhill for the last few seasons, but this episode is the worst yet. The most I do when watching a new episode is chuckle once or twice. My reaction to this and recent episodes is “with all that is happening in the U.S. right now, THIS is the best that you could do?” South Park was once true social satire; now it is just a pitiful parody of itself. Clearly Trey Parker and Matt Stone are written-out. But I’ll give them a clue that they seem not to know: for satire to effective it must contain a genuineness that can only be found by immersion in the culture that is being satirized. As a regular viewer of Glenn Beck I can say that this episode’s caricature of Glenn Beck is so pathetically off the mark that it is clearly an outsider’s passing glance. Trey and Matt, please don’t try to mock things that you know nothing about!
For myself, I will continue to watch the Glenn Beck show, but I am through with South Park-I’ll stick to the re-runs of old seasons so that I can experience the South Park that I loved.

Michelle   November 12th, 2009 - 4:18 pm

I honestly didn’t know it was still on – but like most things in yesterdays wasteland (think Olberman and Matthews) the only press they can get is through the use of and invoking Glenn Beck – it’s sad really…..
Glenn should take it as the compliment that it really is – no one takes shots at the irrelevant….(think John Stewart)

kk   November 12th, 2009 - 4:18 pm

Well it looks like some people can’t take a joke. Here is the Al Gore episode:

JtheM   November 12th, 2009 - 4:20 pm

Whats really funny is that it is more genuine and intelligent than anything Beck or Faux News has ever produced.

rgallagher   November 12th, 2009 - 4:20 pm

It was DEAD on….it was funny and hit lose to the mark. Why all the complaints about “how they skew left and not right” WAAAAAHHH!!!!! South Park rebroadcast the MANBEARPIG episodes making fun of Gore last week on Comedy Central and it was just as funny……..Lighten up morons….or should I say cry babies….waaaaahhhhh

WhereIsManBearPig   November 12th, 2009 - 4:28 pm

rgallagher, The knock wasn’t against a re-broadcast of ManBearPig…it was why has YouTube scrubbed the clips from their site, when you can find tons of clips making fun of Glenn Beck. Doesn’t Google, the owner of Youtube, have someone one their team that is in the Obama Administration’s best interest???

It Comedy Central has truly, which I have not confirmed, rebroadcast ManBearPig last week, then great. But that is not the same thing as having clips on YouTube that the whole world can see anytime. Get a Clue.

WhereIsManBearPig   November 12th, 2009 - 4:34 pm

http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/103675

Check out the online stream of the “ManBearPig” episode, from South Park Studios website, while ya can.

Now this episode is funny.

Waaahhh   November 12th, 2009 - 4:37 pm

Funny, the conclusion where the mob is going to attack the class president, the girl who is working hard, looks more like the attacks on Palin. It reminds me of SNL’s efforts to slam Palin and then all of the brain dead morons go out and quote Tina Fey and believe it is a Palin quote. I would say that the main stream media are the ones that create mindless mobs. They are the ones that are crying waaaaaahhhh.
Beck was laughing about this episode and saying that South Park lampooned Cruise, Jesus, and others. That is freedom of speech

dontflagmebro   November 12th, 2009 - 4:55 pm

Don’t worry South Park creators are closet right wing nutjobs. They make it a practice to skewer everyone but leftist get it extra double.

kk   November 12th, 2009 - 5:06 pm

WhereIsManBearPig youtube took down the clips because they are subject to copyright law. It would be different if comedy central were putting up the clips

Richard Ballicker   November 12th, 2009 - 5:07 pm

Did you know the character Mr. Hanky is actually based on Obama?

Smitty   November 12th, 2009 - 5:28 pm

South Park fan since the beginning, and this has to go down as one of the best.

I wonder what lesson we were supposed to learn from Wendy at the end. Taunt them and drive them crazy by playing into their delusions, have them govern three days or so, watch them break down and go cry to mommy, and resume the presidency with Beck in the padded room where he belongs?

WhereIsManBearPig   November 12th, 2009 - 5:42 pm

KK…So why can you search and find many SouthPark episode clips on YouTube, that do NOT make fun of AL Gore? Aren’t all of those other clips violating copyright infringement? Or do clips on YouTube sometimes help draw interest to seeing the full episodes? Hmmmmm.

Roger   November 12th, 2009 - 5:50 pm

I didnt read the comments of anyone. The only thing i have to say is that south park has now bias., they have for the last 17 years taken the news of the day and spoofed it. I love Glenn Beck, but this clip shouldnt even be on the Brietbart Politic page. Its just south park doing what they do best.

Roger   November 12th, 2009 - 5:51 pm

Ooops, ’south park has no Bias.’

rocha   November 12th, 2009 - 6:05 pm

.

Socialist media at it’s finest hour.

.

Smurf Destroyer   November 12th, 2009 - 6:37 pm

Hey Smitty – did you get that Wendy was Sarah Palin at all? Wendy released a book, “Going Rogue” – the title of Palin’s book. Meaning…the attacks on Palin are by delusional, hateful douchebags, and Palin is laughing all the way to the bank by – “Taunting them and driving them crazy by playing into their delusions, …and…, watch them break down and go cry to mommy…”

Sorry to burst your liberal bubble, but it seems to me that the SP boys were ripping on both sides.

tofu   November 12th, 2009 - 7:20 pm

Anita Dunn wannabees.

FastFacts   November 12th, 2009 - 8:18 pm

This is somewhat funny and if that guy on the screen was telling the truth, probably not, than you could compare it to Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck on the other hand is telling the truth or close to it. I know this because I have read tons of articles and reports that confirm what he is saying. I watch them actually before they go on the show a lot of the time on http://www.americanparchment.com, some come out after Glenn Beck’s show. As for the videos he shows they are found on Breitbart and the site above. So if he is lying, call his show and tell him. Publish it and let him respond, but let him respond to hear both sides.

kk   November 12th, 2009 - 9:07 pm

lol have you even bothered to search? I just typed “South Park Al Gore” and there are several clips.

Whatwhatwhat   November 12th, 2009 - 9:16 pm

Channeling Glenn Beck causes painful flatulence.

Webster   November 12th, 2009 - 10:07 pm

There is no doubt that Wendy was representing Palin and the disgusting smear campaign against her was mocked effectively by SP. They just chose to mock Glenn Beck at the same time. Glenn can take it. He knows what’s true and what isn’t. Trey and Matt are fairly libertarian in their art most of the time and do remember that they were the first of any comedians to mock Obama.
By the way, has anyone noticed that our prez is a sniveling mooslim loving weenie who has surrounded himself with liars/cheats and extreme leftist ideologues. He is the most disgraceful man to hold the office, ever!
Sooner or later, SP will have a field day with this unqualified lying douche.

Webster   November 12th, 2009 - 10:09 pm

SubjectoftheUSSA   November 13th, 2009 - 12:19 am

Big fan of Southpark, they did a good Glenn but hardly one of the better episodes lately.

keith   November 13th, 2009 - 12:21 am

Now now….South Park has a set the president of slamming everyone equally.

See slams on Billary, Rosie, Bill himself “who was assured he had a big penis”, Obama supporters “the day after”, Scientologists, our muzzie friends….come on now. It’s just South Park.

Nobody is immune. Everyone must be slammed. Go Matt and Tray, go.

Chris T   November 13th, 2009 - 12:37 am

This was funny. Come on even Glenn makes fun of himself. I love Glen and his message and I thought this was funny without being insulting. Relax people. Dont into 24×7 combat mode yet.

Chuck   November 13th, 2009 - 2:21 am

I love SP and I see them make fun of both sides. I’m very conservative and a lot of times I get annoyed with Beck, so I thought it was pretty funny. I agree, though, SP has been slippin a bit. They just aren’t the same anymore. I’d love to see them make fun of Udderman and the other left-wing dung beetles. That would be a laugh. Till then, I’ll be listening to the Savage Nation.

dave   November 13th, 2009 - 2:26 am

You know what the hidden joke is?

The hidden joke is that smurfs have long been viewed as communist propaganda.

Think about their society, everyone has his job “Handy smurf”, “Papa Smurf”…etc etc. It is a communist idealization of the perfect society. Everyone has a job they do, and everyone does it for everyone else…for free.

And who was the bad guy…a guy who wanted to turn the smurfs into gold! The bad guy wanted to exploit them like a capitalist pig!

Hahahaha…get it. Its a joke within a joke within a joke. Thats why I love south park.

Dave   November 13th, 2009 - 2:34 am

The joke within the joke here, is that the smurfs are communist propaganda.

Think about it. Idealized society of peace love happiness, everyone has their own job, everyone does it for everyone else.

Who is the bad guy? A guy who wants to turn them into gold! What a capitalist pig.

Hahahahah…its a joke within a joke. Southpark is awesome.

Dave   November 13th, 2009 - 2:35 am

DAMN double posting! thought I forgot to hit submit.

Steve in Pa.   November 13th, 2009 - 7:29 am

It’s was all fun and games till the first dead Smurf was found face down in a pool of ink.

Desiree   November 13th, 2009 - 9:27 am

Richard,

Hidey Ho. Now that you mention it the Mr. Hankey/Obama resemblance is uncanny.

I think South Park should do a show about the mayor winning some kind of prize she didn’t deserve and nobody can figure out how the hell she won it.

Hooter   November 13th, 2009 - 9:35 am

Thats it Glenn Beck has made the Big Time! South Park….

jason   November 13th, 2009 - 10:56 am

Well, come on now – it was inevitable.

Chris   November 13th, 2009 - 12:11 pm

I like Glenn Beck. Unlike the constantly offended liberals out there I found that hilarious.

sheepdog   November 13th, 2009 - 12:14 pm

I find South Park to be pretty evenhanded and usually funny. I like Beck and he does a good job of exposing libtard shenanigans but he is pretty goofy.

snarklett   November 13th, 2009 - 2:18 pm

I enjoy listening and watching Beck, but I don’t really have a problem with Beck being parodied because I love SP as well. But this episode just left me wondering if SP’s famous cajones are being held hostage on Gibb’s or Anita Dunn’s desk somewhere. There is something kind of disingenuous and rather anti-SP about blanketing the whole issue as one way or the other instead of SP’s trademark of actually showing a spectrum and various degrees of common sense vs batcrazy on the issues. One of the more enjoyable aspects of SP is that they used to actually apply some thought on issues like environmentalism, political correctness and even religion. They may not have agreed with a certain point of view, but they also didn’t go the cheap and low route that is more Family Guy’s style either. But in this episode, even Cartman wasn’t given his customary “he’s evil, but he might have a point” buildup; it just went straight to crazy town and got worse. Anyone who questioned or didn’t immediately defend Wendy was stupid and under Cartman’s influence. Kind of like all the accusations of racism whenever someone doesn’t agree with our president. Yeah, SP can be crude and childish in its smartass approach. But at least that smartass approach usually makes you think and laugh. Unfortunately, this episode was just another verse in the same, tired hypocritical song of only certain people being allowed to ask questions or make statements as long as they toe the Obama apologist/admiration line.

Towelie   November 13th, 2009 - 3:14 pm

Hey, cut Stone and Parker some slack. They make fun of both sides, not just one. Glenn Beck is fair game even though I’d prefer they make fun of Lefties more.

radioactivenews   November 13th, 2009 - 3:41 pm

Wow, I was really hoping that would be funny. Guys, you’re losing your edge and ability to make me laugh! Sad!

Mark   November 13th, 2009 - 4:40 pm

No one should miss the true point of this weeks south park: that the working title of James Cameron’s Avatar was “Dances with Smurfs”

Jeff   November 13th, 2009 - 5:25 pm

Pretty funny episode but not the best of the season. I really like south park and beck. Not really seeing what the big deal is. South park makes fun of the left a lot as well…

Peter   November 13th, 2009 - 6:22 pm

Perhaps I missed other comments on this. The reason there’s a opening for announcement reader is because the
third grader who read the news was shot to death in the school.
That’s funny? Seriously? There was no better way to write that?
I appreciate SP…but school shootings are not funny. Never.

hector   November 13th, 2009 - 8:43 pm

Peter you are a liberal sissy. its every body god GIVEN right to own a gun.. you liberl loon…stop destroying our constitutions.. BECK WILL REIGN 4EVEER you RETARD COMMIES.. PINKOS .. get a sensse of HumOR batcrazy lefties. EL RUSHBO RULEs and the DEMONCRATS DROOL. STOP OBAMA FROM TAKING OUR RIGHTS… he is secretly runned by the JEWS … OUR KIDS CANNOT PAY FOR OUR DEFECITS… hahahahahahahha

Dan   November 13th, 2009 - 10:45 pm

South Park is a great show. They make fun of everyone and their politics are not evident by the show. I think they are a class act.

Lisa   November 14th, 2009 - 2:07 am

james November 12th, 2009 – 11:53 pm

That would be hilarious! Especially with cartman in blackface!

joe   November 14th, 2009 - 9:56 am

Before you come down too hard on SouthPark, consider the gnads they had in making “Team America”. No one else had the guts to make a movie with that level of critique on anything to do with Terrorists, North Korea, the UN, or Socialist Weasels like Michael Moore, not to mention the treatment they gave lib actors like Matt Damon and Alec Baldwin. They are not conservatives, but NO ONE ELSE RIDICULES THE LEFT…. ever!

Steve-O   November 14th, 2009 - 11:11 am

Some of you guys need to lighten up. Did it ever occur to you that they mock Beck instead of Olbermann because people actually watch Beck’s show?

Remember South Park trashing Ayn Rand. Matt & Trey basically admitted that they did it to bring more attention to her work. Their audience is teenage boys. Tell them to ignore something & they immediately take an interest in it.

Not that they did the same thing with Beck. Just that Matt & Trey don’t take themselves very seriously. They mock celebrities at will. It’s never done to discredit the target. Except for Rob Reiner, who really is despicable.

shasha   November 14th, 2009 - 11:25 am

I thought the episode was lmao funny.. But I guess I didnt get the memo where is was supposed to be Glenn Beck.. I thought the mannerisms were more atune to Keith Olberman, sans glasses and an attack on the Wendy AKA Sarah Palin.. Matt and Trey leave nothing untouched. The only Episode that “offended” my husband was when they were trying to get rid of the “Harley” bike gang. Again Matt and Trey are equal oppuntunity offenders. If you cant laugh at yourself you have no right to laugh at any other group.

12-String Infidel   November 14th, 2009 - 12:00 pm

I think that SOUTH PARK finally ‘jumped the shark’ last night
with the “Dancing With Smurfs” episode. I waited and waited
for the punchline, but it never arrived. I can’t help but wonder
how much Parker et al. are involved with the show anymore.
1) The set-up was great, but it played out more like a SIMPSONS
or FAMILY GUY episode, not the razor sharp and independently-
minded writing you expect from the creators of TEAM AMERICA.
2) It was just NOT FUNNY. Even the kinda lame ‘biker’ episode
had quite a few laughs packed into it (although it probably hit
home more with folks in Colorado and South Dakota that have to
deal with annoying bikers and wannabes on a daily basis). But
last night? No way. I mean, Glenn Beck is ripe for satire (Jon
Stewart did a tired turn with that), but for the first time that I
ever remember on SOUTH PARK, the “freedom” message that has
been the backbone of the show (and their other projects too)
was just not there. Did they accept “stimulus” money or something?

Joe   November 14th, 2009 - 1:24 pm

wow, I just watched the whole episode…… hahahahaha; she sold the movie rights to James Cameron… when Cartman comes out of the theater… hAHAHAHAHAHA! Glenn Beck was just used as the best way to get to that joke.

Steve-O   November 14th, 2009 - 2:07 pm

Jeez String, they’re clearly not in the pocket of Obama. They’ve been taking shots at both parties for years. This is nothing new. See “That’s My Bush!”

On its face, the episode appeared to be mocking Beck. Cartman looked an awful lot like Beck. But think about the Casey Miller character. Obviously a reference to Casey Kasem. Yet he supported Cartman.

So basically you had Casey Kasem supporting Glenn Beck. That’s ridiculous when taken at face value. Kasem is no friend of Republicans. Remember, Kasem signed a petition essentially calling Bush a war criminal Nazi. Maybe there’s something more to it than the face value?

Here’s my 2 cents: the guys are South Park are comparing the tactics of Beck to the tactics of Kasem. So it’s sort of hilarious to watch liberals brag about how “South Park really zinged those crazy teabaggers”.

steve   November 22nd, 2009 - 7:55 pm

i love beck, and i am obsessed with south park. but the episode was really funny. just like that onion clip about beck was really funny too. hes popular, and hes got a crazy style thats easy to make fun of. its funny, but his show is still good. just like o’reilys show was easy to rip on, and than it spawned colbert. its like that saying “impersonation is the highest form of flattery” they make fun of beck because hes popular and people can relate to it. just like the made fun of michael jackson and billy mays because people can relate to it.

frushtrated   January 4th, 2010 - 11:27 pm

Are you blind, where is manbearpig?

Where are the youtube clips of manbearpig? Have you looked? They are right here: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=manbearpig&search_type=&aq=f Not exactly a conspiracy against manbearpig.
