This is what American journalists call *news*. If it is a moral dillemma – or if the press can humiliate a man and his family – then it goes right to the top of the list as *news*. Cronkite would’ve NEVER repeated this.
This type of story would have NEVER been printed or distibuted in the

Seriously, this man has to have a marginal, if not, low IQ, particularly after returning there after having been caught in the past. I agree with some of the others on here, it is rather poor ethics to make a laughing spectacle of someone who clearly has some type of mental deficiency. Yes, somewhere inbetween the Reagan era and Clinton’s presidency, mainstream media became more of a playground for gossip and mockery, unlike the former days when the news was focused on professionalism. What gets me is that it is common for the exact General Session court to give probation for those who rape children. Seems they figure the emotional impact of a man having sex with a horse are far more severe than the rape of a child or person. I happen to be from Conway, SC; and no I don’t even know Rodell Vereen. I’m just voicing my opinion. For those who’ve made the comments of “expecting” such activities from people from SC, this kind of thing is certainly a rarity; but it is common for people raping people to walk free on plea bargains in too many states. It also depends on who your family knows in the system as to whether you would end up having to register as a sex offender.
