I like the idea, but what does it run on? Gas/Propane? and what does it do with the Bricks? Stack them in a row behind or where i tell it to?

softbook   January 6th, 2008 - 8:18 am

The video said it runs itself but is it electric or does it generate its power from the snow?

Why in this video do we not see this thing in action, and only get still pictures of it? Honestly, did anyone consider the idea that showing us this thing in action might be a good idea?

I question whether the money saved in iceblock refrigeration over regular compressor refrigeration could match the energy cost of forming, collecting, and shipping the blocks, rather then, y’know, just tossing the snow aside.

Also, in lack of video evidence to the contrary (isn’t THAT interesting?), I’m led to assume this thing goes about its work with all the efficiency of Asimo playing hopscotch.
