One of their better skits. I’m conservative….yes, I understand satire.

Sgt. Slaughter   November 8th, 2009 - 11:00 am

SNL is dead on every time! Any funnier than hell too! Remember last week when the Republicans were declaring some sort of “sweeping victory” (snort) in the election? In truth neither governors race was a surprise, Obama’s victory in VA was quiet unusual and Corrizine was a disaster. We knew he was in trouble a year ago.

But in the mean time the Democrats picked up 2 house seats one of which would never have been possible had the GOP not self destructed. With those two votes the health care get’s past the house with 220 yea votes. 218 needed to pass.

Dumb Azz Faux Noise and their sheeple!

That’s about how it goes on Fox, only SNL was more “fair & balanced.” ;-)

Niles Lesh   November 8th, 2009 - 11:05 am

Nobody Forces the comedy down the viewers throat like SNL! The Juan Williams Corzine slam was as close as I came to a laugh

Julie S   November 8th, 2009 - 11:05 am

I love the Greta impersonation also Glen the Repulsive!

The good news about FOX Garbage News is that we get to see how truth can be distorted and how sinister minds like Murdock operate and his cast of thugs talk with a twisted tongue.

Intelligent people don’t really buy such crap. Firstly it is not classy enough.

FOX is low level garbage. Not very exciting or interesting.

If they want to screw around with heads you would think they would not be as boring and tacky as Michele Frankenstein, Sicko Palin and Rude Limbaugh.

jojo   November 8th, 2009 - 11:14 am

Wow, I see the low brow trolls are out this AM…

Government Mess   November 8th, 2009 - 11:14 am

SNL attempts to be funny again mocking the only News station that tells Americans the truth. NBC, Immelt, G.E., Global Warming Activists, Obama, SEIU, ACORN, Soros, and many more are working hand in hand to Brainwash the People of America through TV shows, Commercials and even by not reporting the Facts in the News. Have you heard that Pelosi has the votes in the Senate to pass her 2.4+ Trillion dollar Freedom Killing Health Care Monstrosity? The Majority of Our Politicians are Corrupt and willing to do anything to stay in power! They are NOT looking out for us, the people they are supposed to be protecting, obviously. We are Broke as a Country and these Clowns are Digging the Hole Deeper by the Day! Do “We The People” have to Resort to Violence to Make our Point? Our Government Ignores Millions of Constituents Protesting against Government Growth; Specifically against Government Health Care and Cap and Trade(Tax) legislation that means Monster Sized Government. Our Government has already Bankrupted this Country and now they want to Quadruple(probably much more) the size of the Debt! I fear it will take a Revolution like no other to send a clear message to the Idiots that wish to Destroy our Country! May God or Some One Help Us All! 2010 $ 2012 can’t get here soon enough! Purge all that are not Pure Conservatives! Sarah Palin/Michelle Bachmann 2012 to Clean Corruption Out!

Puck 30   November 8th, 2009 - 11:34 am

Wasn’t exactly bringing roars of laughter. But thanks SNL, With the ratings FNC is getting these days. You’re skit will just send more folks over to the Channel. And you know what? They will stay.

Now, if you folks at SNL want to have a really funny skit, why don’t you do one about a news (cough) channel that employs people with the names Olbermann, Matthews, Maddow, Shuster, Schultz? There is tons of funny stuff right there. Oh that’s right, if you ever did. You would get canned the next day.

Cleetus   November 8th, 2009 - 11:48 am

See? You ARE the joke.

if   November 8th, 2009 - 11:51 am

If they were at least kind of funny, SNL is like MSNBC but with skits. Loren michaels just another liberal loon with poo for brains. Hey SNL you guys haven’t been funny for decades!

Cleetus   November 8th, 2009 - 11:52 am

Puck 30 – the only thing that Fox’s high ratings say is that there are a lot of stupid morons out there. Luckily, in a country of over 300 million people, only about 3 million watch Fixed News. That’s really a good thing. Julie S really nailed it. Maybe it’s some sort of conspiracy though. Maybe in trailer parks across America, Fixed News is the only channel they can get.

steve   November 8th, 2009 - 11:52 am

The sad thing is that these SNL cast members aren’t any good. Mocking Fox is fine, but come on Michaels get some fresh talent.

dontflagmebro   November 8th, 2009 - 12:21 pm

SNL lame. Boring.. snoore. SNL.. your boring.. your lame and no one wants to buy your advertised products. Except the few liberals that still have jobs. Enjoy the demise of your future as well as our own.

kitman3   November 8th, 2009 - 12:21 pm

SNL what has the administration promised you all?

Peace Sister   November 8th, 2009 - 12:24 pm

I agree with Steve. They aren’t doing it well. Yawn….Yawn….

Looks like they’re doing a bad imitation of Jon Steward mocking Fox.

Puck 30   November 8th, 2009 - 12:43 pm

Well gee cleetus then what’s that say about you’re beloved MSNBC? Oh and I read last week O’Reilly is hitin’ 5mil. these days. What’s you’re buddy Olby doing in ratings?

RedCarolina   November 8th, 2009 - 12:48 pm

Only the morons who actually believed Palin said she could see Russia from her house will find this skit worth the carbon footprint required to make, air, and receive this garbage (don’t laugh, your laughter causes global warming… turn off your tv and feed yourselves to the polar bears).

Attn: NBC, your pre-historic idea of satire has come and gone! people have moved on. I don’t even think your attacks on Bush and Palin had anything to do with O’s election — that was a white guilt vote and people of all color are united in regretting that play of the race card now!

now this is funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeDvZq9d8dk

RedCarolina   November 8th, 2009 - 12:49 pm

lame

Veritas   November 8th, 2009 - 12:58 pm

SNL hasn’t been funny for a long time.

Demoncrats   November 8th, 2009 - 1:35 pm

LMAO at libs. Anything that mocks your daily Kos talking points you cut your
self at night. Make fun of something conservative and you attack it on a
personal level and tell your budding commies that Fox news is the evil empire.
If you were intelligent enough to actually look at something with an open mind
then you can see the truth in SOME of the things Fox news broadcasts. I know
the truth hurts you it’s like if Jesus cried and his tear dripped on your
Catro-esque bodies it would burn you like water on a witch. But then again
it’s hard being the party of tolerance and understanding when you are neither.

Yawnfest 2009   November 8th, 2009 - 2:01 pm

The audience is snoozing. The only time they laugh is when someone makes a weird face or mannerism. They haven’t got a CLUE what Fox News is all about. Anyone who watches Fox realizes that the Democrats on panels and in interviews get as much airtime (fair and balanced) as the others anyway. So, what you really end up with here is a parody of MSNBC or CNN, done in reverse. And Fox always reports Republican failures in races and elsewhere as fairly as they do Democrat failures. MSNBC doesn’t report ANYTHING positive about anything to the right of the very far left, and they don’t do news anyway, they only censor or bash bash bash at what they’ve been told not to like. Any viewing of MNSBC for 60 seconds will always result in a mention of mockery of Palin, Bush, Cheney, Fox talent, the RNC or the GOP withing the 60 seconds. And most of those have been off the scene for almost one year now! MSNBC an endless sophomore’s private playground, it’s not news. The sketch didn’t work because the premise isn’t even honest, no matter how hard all the attack dogs like Stewart and Letterman and SNL are told to come out of their kennels at the same time with the same material on every issue threatening to the Administration. The head of General Electric, which owns NBC, is completely bought and paid for by the Obama administration, and Obama is owned by that corporation among others too. Do your homework. None of it is honest, and only Fox shows you the connections that the guilty obviously CAN’T show you – that would be self-incrimination.

knockah   November 8th, 2009 - 2:16 pm

Not funny, Only a slight grin for Glenn Beck. I love Fox and Glenn, but come on this isn’t funny, and there is plenty to be made fun of on Fox. Glenn would be the first to mock himself, have you listened to his radio show. That’s what I like about him most he makes fun of himself before anyone else can. Shep was awful and I am no fan of Shep. Is this what passes for comedy now? No wonder I never watch SNL anymore. Stewart’s skit on Beck was far more entertaining. And if you want to laugh watch Red Eye, It can be hysterical. But this just wasn’t good enough, I love to laugh at the people I like. I don’t think they ever watch Fox, you need to know the material before you can satire it.

True American   November 8th, 2009 - 3:32 pm

I love the fact that all of this press will bring more viewers to FOX. Maybe then more people will see the unfair and unbalanced reporting FOX does. When they hear the rants of a lunatic, conspiracy theorist, hypocrite in Glenn Beck… Hopefully they will get mad enough to speak up more about these people poisoning the minds of our “intelligence challenged” and Senior Citizens with fear mongering and misinformation.

AtlasObjectivist   November 8th, 2009 - 3:47 pm

You know what is really hysterical – the amount of material SNL has passed up by not addressing the communist Loonville Obama administration. Bottom line – SNL blows.

Rob Dresch   November 8th, 2009 - 3:59 pm

Very funny! Let SNL poke fun at the only news network that tells the truth and will actually not suppress information. Some will ridicule what they see as a threat to their ideology. Fox new’s rateing is the proof.

demdicks   November 8th, 2009 - 4:07 pm

Thanks for yet another FOX ratings boost, leftist loons – long burn Alinsky and che, haha

TulsaMark   November 8th, 2009 - 4:08 pm

Just not funny. A far cry from the days of Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, or
further back to Gilda Radner and Bill Murray. This current group, including the
writers, is pathetic.

True American   November 8th, 2009 - 4:19 pm

Awww I’m sorry..you two are brainwashed already.. The funny part is it is your ideology that is threatened.. Ours is coming to fruition. See how it works is…FOX keeps complaining about how the Dems are changing everything and destroying our Country… The Dems are not complaining about the same…

I’m sure if you pray hard enough.. God will end up on your side and fix everything.

RedCarolina   November 8th, 2009 - 4:35 pm

Julia S. 11:05 makes my point from 12:48. Anyone who watches Fox knows Shep and Juan are annoying liberal. The only thing funny about this skit was Gretta’s voice and Carl’s head (even they would laugh).

Everything else about this skit is like old stale re-runs. It actually gives me the creeps to watch it, and letterman – just creepy, not funny. SNL is just… stale. I think America would have gotten over it a long time ago if we had been offered something better. SNL is slow, live, stale and dull. They are like the NYT… A DINOSAUR THAT WONT DIE!! DIE ALREADY, gray lady! We offer you and SNL “end of life counceling”!! It’s the era of Obama!! Die — it’s patriotic! Save the rainforests!!

Besides, it’s against the law to laugh at anything but his jokes now (i give you…. “that’s a socialist mop!”. NOW THAT IS FUNNY, ISN’T IT?????

See this: now this is funny: http://americandigest.org/mt-archives/inverse/obamlet.php

Here’s my message to NYC and it’s iconic dinosaurs: America rallied around you after 9/11. We needed entertainers and journalists to help us. Instead, they accused Bush of war crimes and butchered the Republican v.p. candidate, and your golden boy Obama turns out to be the biggest joke of all! Is Letterman based in NY? hmmm…. Now, you are all going broke – using the word “terrorist” is banned and the new buildings at ground zero will have some “global unity” theme? are u f-ing us? YOU MADE YOUR PATHETIC, MEAN-SPIRITED, ANTI-AMERICAN BED. NOW LIE IN IT! This skit is LAME!!!!

Terri   November 8th, 2009 - 4:57 pm

Wow, Cleetus, you are another example of what makes this country great.

(In case you missed it, that was satire.)

Carolynn   November 8th, 2009 - 5:08 pm

Hey Andrew,

How about we close comments to patriots. There are trolls all over every thread all the time. We have to deal with the Trolls everyday in the MSM, can we please have
a place where like minded people can meet?

Terri   November 8th, 2009 - 5:10 pm

The Beck part WAS pretty funny. lol I just have to wonder how many of you actually WATCH any FOX news? Or do you just watch the selected edited bits and pieces on YouTube put out there by George Soros (Gyorgy Schwartz) and HIS bunch? I think maybe we are all being led to some extent by multi-millionaire media pied pipers, just whichever one is playing the tune we want to hear.

Roseann Rosanna Danna   November 8th, 2009 - 5:48 pm

That was so funny, I forgot to laugh

carlos   November 8th, 2009 - 6:03 pm

Gretta got Democrat Joe Trippi’s and Republican Karl Rove’s take on election night. Joe works with Howard Dean. Where was the bias?
Beck was not on that show. MSNBC was showing reruns of good ole Keith before the results were in. Why would anyone watch 2 hour old news on election night?

GoodMom   November 8th, 2009 - 6:29 pm

Haven’t watched SNL in years. Just not funny enough to waste my time there.

irishkay   November 8th, 2009 - 6:45 pm

The ‘57′ States that Obumbler was talking about, is the “57 Organization of Islamic Countries”!

BTW……something to really think about and Google………HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!……….

….THE UKRAINE IS UNDER MARSHALL LAW! THEY ARE HAVING ‘FORCED INOCULATIONS’ FOR ‘PNEUMONIC PLAGUE’!!
Just as in the USA…the doctors are ‘fudging’ the numbers on ‘H1N1′……..when it’s really Pneumonic..they are saying it’s a mutant of H1N1, or just calling it a disease!
The military bases are being transformed into hospitals, the victims are coming in soo fast!
this plague kills in 3 days!!!!!! Low grade fever, coughing, lungs fill with blood!!!!
Just who is responsible?? The people in the Ukraine say that ‘Chemtrails’ were spotted a few days before thousands of people got sick…..and now it has hit India!

http://fto.co.za/news/ukraine-declares-martial-law-following-pneumonic-plague-outbreak-2009110615730.html

BTW…..the US hasn’t got the shots for H1N1 for us…….but are sending millions of doses to the UN!!!!

Now that’s something!!! I have seen Rhode Island blanketed by these chemtrails, criss-crossing the sky!
and in NH too! Have you all seen them? The government is doing it to us……!

The UN investigated this …and TOLD REPORTERS AND DOCTORS ‘NOT’ TO REFER TO IT AS PNEUMONIC PLAGUE……….no need to panic people while their dying!

Mom of 2   November 8th, 2009 - 7:46 pm

My liberal-leaning son watched SNL last night and told me that they did a spoof on FOX News, but that it wasn’t funny. I agree! What kept him watching the show was guest host Taylor Swift!

cgray   November 8th, 2009 - 9:01 pm

Hey liberals, keep smirking. November 2, 2010 will take care of everything.

What a waste of time   November 8th, 2009 - 9:28 pm

YAWN!! SNL is 90 minutes of sleep I won’t give up for TV trash…

audacity indeed   November 8th, 2009 - 10:33 pm

The left is trying to marginalize FNC so that the obots won’t figure out Fox is the only news channel that tells the truth. Alinsky tactics as usual.

Whatwhatwhat   November 8th, 2009 - 11:20 pm

Wow!!! SNL was dead on. Funny.

TulsaMark   November 8th, 2009 - 11:25 pm

SNL should mock other networks, or the Left, or are they too chicken. There’s lots of
material to choose from:

Chris Matthews with his chill up his leg
MSNBC host stating that Obama is above us, like a God
Al Sharpton for publicity hunting
Charlie Rangel who is not paying taxes on half the homes he owns, but he is
on the committee having to do with taxes
Keith Olbermann as the Nazi propagandist
Nancy Pelosi as Sneaker of the House, sneaking in a bill that adds funding
for face-lifts

Bored As He11   November 8th, 2009 - 11:51 pm

GEEZ that was so lame and boring. Had potential to be funny, but totally bombed. SNL needs some talent and better writing.

Showtime   November 9th, 2009 - 4:16 am

The impersonations of Glenn and Greta were hilarious. But completely missed the mark with Juan Williams and Britt Hume. Which is the way it’s been for quite awhile for SNL. Some hits but too many missed opportunities. Good impersonations are not enough. That’s what you get with lazy writing.

iconoclastKM   November 9th, 2009 - 6:13 am

These are professional actors? Most high school drama club talent is way better than these idiots. This sketch was very weak.

Curiously also I notice that Darrell Hammond, the cast member with the most talent, particularly as an impersonator, is conspicuously absent from this sketch.

But generally speaking, this show hasn’t been funny for a very long time and frankly I miss Mad TV, which really had SNL beat over the last few years.

I really like what commentor “if” said… ‘SNL is like MSNBC but with skits’ …how true!

H2K   November 9th, 2009 - 9:56 am

Sorry WhatWhatWhat – it was simply funny….not “dead on” funny. This is not funny because if you watch FoX News, you will see that the liberal side is represented on every issue. Greta is more than fair to liberals. Shep probably is a liberal.

I found it funny from the ironic-liberal-interpretation-of-FoxNews perspective. That’s how the liberals see the world. SNL took it over the top from there. That’s called satire.

One could almost make the case they were busting on liberals and their 3rd hand knowledge of the Fox News perspective.

Bill Airs   November 9th, 2009 - 10:39 am

That was so funny and so true. They captured Faux news exactly.

skeebo   November 9th, 2009 - 5:55 pm

RedCarolina, it was actually Tina Fey who said she could see Russia from her front porch. Tina Fey lives in New York, so anyone who can see russia from a front porch in New York has a serious problem ! Remember John Belosi and Chris Farley?

Glenn Beckk's Appendix   November 9th, 2009 - 6:33 pm

You couldn’t be more right Bill…LOL And to the Religious Right… I now believe in god!! I was finally removed from my completely nut case host…or is that parasite??

Barack O.   November 10th, 2009 - 8:01 am

I hope you all now see, we were right (I mean correct). Fox News is just aboput opinion!
