Hmm, interesting. Can someone answer me if Senator Conrad is planning on this being his last term? Is the senator taking sword for health care? What is North Dakota’s thoughts on him and his actions?

This is clearly a treasonous betrayal by Kent Conrad as evidenced by his own words and it just goes to show you the madness and insanity that blind allegiance to an ideological “agenda” i.e. that of passing the Dems Health Care bill – will do to a person’s moral principles – and irregardless of whether the bill is a pork laden, ill contrived, job killing, tax raising, piece of junk. Which it is. And because of Kent Conrad’s complete 180 regarding his stance on the proper use of reconciliation you can bet the American people will remember his betrayal and treasonous action come November 2012 should he decide to run for reelection. You don’t trample on the American people without severe consequences – as demonstrated in New Jersey, Virginia, and most recently in the bluest of blue states Massachusetts. If you yield to attempting reconciliation for Health Care you will pay dearly at the polls. You can count on it. Because not standing for something (which he obviously didn’t) you will fall for anything (which he obviously did) as evidenced by his complete reversal on the use of reconciliation. And because of it he will lose his reelection bid in 2012 in my opinion. And the majority of Americans side with me because the majority of Americans DON’T want Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi’s 4,000 plus page monstrosity Health Care sham of a bill. So I’d advise Kent Conrad to reconsider his loss of touch with reality and adhere to his previous moral principles and his prior stance and eschew the thought reconciliation regarding this Health Care debacle. Or else..

Can we at least try:
1) buying insurance across state lines
2) low-cost catastrophic policies
3) healthcare savings accounts
4) tort reform to limit compensation to something more reasonable than 10 bazillion dollars – where the lawyer keeps half of it.
5) removing coverages forced by the government. I don’t need pre-natal care nor will I ever get AIDS, for instance.
