poor douchewater , andrew, got owned again. i think its time for andrew to find another line of work. I'm thinking maybe a wal mart restroom attendant.

john g   July 21st, 2010 - 4:47 am

This is the difference between you and the rest of the MSM media hacks; they wouldn't bother setting the record straight like this. Good on you for posting this.

Gweilo66   July 21st, 2010 - 5:01 am

Ah..how I enjoy logging video. Some of the gestures don't come across in type, but other things do.

Almost complete speech:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9NcCa_KjXk&fe....

17:15 (on the white farmer she helped, that claims to be friends with her)
He talked a loonng time..trying to show he was superior to me. I knew what he was doing, but he came to me for help."

18:35 "It IS about white and black"

21:03 point of edit..not sure how much time elapsed

22min or so (discussion of history of indentured servitude, how whiet and black slaves got along, intermarrying and the history of rich people using laws of division to prevent poor people from banding together as one to fight for change.)

22:40 "The people with money..the elite decided..hey..we need to do something here to divide them. So that's when they made black servants, servants for life. That's when they put laws in place, forbidding them to marry each other. That's when they created the racism that we know of today. They did it to keep us divided. And they..it started working so well, they said gosh..looks like we come upon something here that could last for generations. And here we are ..over 400 years later..and it's still working.
23:25 What we have to do is get that out of our heads. There is no difference…between us. The only difference is that folks with money, want to stay in power. And whether it's health care, or whatever it is, they'll do what they need to do to keep that power." (applause)
23:52 It's always about money, y'all.
23:59 "I haven't seen…such mean spirited people (Hmm), as I've seen lately (Hmm!) over this issue of health care. (All right)
Some of the racism we thought was buried…didn't it surface.
Now we endured 8 years of the Bushes. And we didn't do the stuff Republicans are doing because you have a black president." (applause)

29:14 (on signing checks for grants and loans)
80 million and not one dime to black business.

29:56 One of the programs we have with some of the most money in it, you know, is for business and industry. And I sit up there and I'm signing off on 6 million, 3 million, 2 million.. But who is it going to? (long pause..crowd mumbles) Not one so far. And when I got a report on where we are with it, we are approaching 80 million dollars since October 1st. But not one dime to a black business. Not one.

30:49 "There's a program, the 1890s scholars program. And they're connected with every 1890 land grant institution. And let me tell you what that is. That's the black land grant institutions, and there's about 17 in Tuskeegee. They..you can actually get a scholarship, and fort battle state is the main grant, in Georgia..the 1890. The 1862 is the white land grant. That's the University of Georgia. You can get a scholarship. And every summer, you work in one of those agencies while you are in school. And when you get out, it's an automatic job."
31:38 Agencies like natural resources and conservation services. That's in RCS. Farm service agency. That's the old farmer's home administration. Rural development. Uh..those are the major 3.

31:54 "But there so many other, there are other, so many other jobs..so many..just in rural development nationwide there are over 6,000 employees. But you go up there to Washington, to the department of agriculture, it's on both sides of the street!"

32:08 "In rural development, there are 129 employees. Guess how many of them are people of color. Anybody want take a guess? That's in Georgia. I've got 129 in my agency. How many (audience:2) It's more than 2. (12.) A little more than 12. There are less than 20 of us. We have 6 area offices in the state and sub area offices..
32:38 And when I look at who's coming up in the agencies, in the agency. There's not many of us."

36:19 (on value of helping others)
"You could be helping the second black president"

39:43 (on direct loan program)
"That program is so successful, we're about to run out of money"

borch1260   July 21st, 2010 - 5:07 am

If Breitbart edited a video on WW2 he'd start with the German victories in 1939 and end it with them marching down the Champs De lesay in Paris in 1940. Guess he'd leave out the rest of the story.

cecil91   July 21st, 2010 - 5:11 am

Feels to good to hit the Lefties with some of their own medicine. Damn good.

DeltaLitProf   July 21st, 2010 - 5:26 am

Saying someone has a white person lined up to buy something is in no way a confession to using her PRESENT office to discriminate. It's time to stop this nonsense and apologize. Right now you have to hope she's not contemplating a lawsuit against you. Continuing to smear her this way only makes that lawsuit more likely.

gwar5   July 21st, 2010 - 5:41 am

Shirley Sherrod is a casualty of Obama's race war.

I commend Shirley Sherrod for trying to do a little outreach trying to explain to the NAACP group why they shouldn't be so anti-white. Why does she even have to do that? Is she trying to deprogram racism (Sharpton) out of them? But she seems to go from saying it's not about race to saying it's about class warfare. Why does it have to be about anything?

As Rove points out, neither is acceptable, or legal, and she's just supposed to follow the law. But she seems like a great person, and maybe needs to join the Tea Party so she can save the country hope to get another job.

Fact remains, Obama has weaponized the word racism to use as a flame thrower…. and he's not afraid to let anyone like the NAACP use it for him. How pathetic. No wonder African-Americans haven't had steady progress, their heads are so screwed up by these people.

DeltaLitProf   July 21st, 2010 - 6:05 am

They said "All right!" when she said her job was not to help blacks, but to help poor people.

Lincoln   July 21st, 2010 - 6:17 am

Delta you need to settle down. The real story is about how she injects race into the whole speech. Even after she says its not about Black or White she still has to identify every character in her story as black or white. Someone so fixated on race should not be holding any kind of government Job. Even if she is just pandering to the NAACP audience the video still proves that those in the organization have the same fixation. Where is the post racial society? Do you really think coming in here and telling Breitbart that he is going to get sued is some how going to make him stop pointing these things out?

DeltaLitProf   July 21st, 2010 - 6:23 am

Again, you Right-wingers stick to the meme that talking about racism means you're a racist. Try something else. It doesn't work for most voters in 2010.

DeltaLitProf   July 21st, 2010 - 6:30 am

Obama has been extraordinarily reluctant to even use the word race. I would warrant that Bill Clinton used the word more often in his speeches from 1993-1994 than Obama has used in his term so far. To say that he has weaponized the word is ridiculous hyperbole.

But the Right has made it so that discussion of race, of its origins, of its effects is to indulge in racism. Your new definition of racism is "mentioning race." It's a cute trick. I first heard it when Sean Hannity was trying it on his show with Alan Colmes. Now it's being picked up by even the least read of Limbaugh fans. So suddenly any black activist who isn't Martin Luther King is racist for actually broaching the subject of racial disparities.

Good luck with it. You tried it in the 2006 elections and you lost. You tried it 2008 and you lost. You're going for broke on it in 2010. We'll see what happens.

ILikeIke56   July 21st, 2010 - 7:29 am

Wow, where are all the comments now that the entire speech is posted? Things look a little different when context is supplied, don't they?

Andy calls the tune and the fools dance the dance.

Wait, are we for her or against her? I thought she she made sense later on.

Am I wrong? Help me understand.

wilmac   July 21st, 2010 - 12:47 am

sHE hates Lawyers she cant be all bad! id like to know who fired her for this.,she sounds like a better role model then the dipshiet in the whitehouse. She is more American then he ever was., i bet she never went to the Black Liberation church either.,she should be reinstated to her job. The person who fired her, should be fired for jumping to conclusions about the one little snippet of vid. I'm sure the orders came down from the whitehouse.,nothing happens in the administration unless Ohblahblah approves it. I smell a RAT.,and Big Dim one. QUACK QUACK

Andy calls the tune and the fools dance the dance.

Mikeyh0   July 21st, 2010 - 8:55 am

She's a bit long-winded – I'm still working on part three but I have things to do. She got fired? But then the NAACP said they didn't mean for that to happen or something like that. I don't know. I can't seem to care too much about this whole thing. I have personally been subjected to a changing of treatment towards white folks – well, me in particular, – at federal offices.Food stamps, Social Security, etc. (Except the VA). Is it systemic? Maybe. Is race still a problem in America. Obviously. Why? Blacks seem to feel that no amount of "leveling" the playing field is enough. Now, that's going to be a problem. Do they want all out war? Do they not even want to live in peace? Got me.

Hesed   July 21st, 2010 - 10:39 am

Yep, over and over throughout her racist statements about her racist thoughts and acting upon her racism by denying services to someone who deserved those services.

Notice how they nodded in approval, not shaking their heads in disgust. How they laughted/applauded when she did the man wrong, not yelling/booing.

Just proves the racists are in the NAACP.

They should clean their glass house, and stop throwing stones and lying about good, honest, Americans.

Hesed   July 21st, 2010 - 10:41 am

The 3 min video by Breitbart's website just shows there is no limits to the racism in the ranks of the NAACP.

When are they going to denounce those people in their ranks, and expel them from the organization?

How can they nod, laugh, and applaud at the racist statements, thoughts, and actions?

commonsense63   July 21st, 2010 - 11:33 am

Weird how the liberals are going after Breitbart for jumping the gun, but NAACP jumping the gun on the tea partiers, naaaah.

Aristotle   July 21st, 2010 - 11:38 am

I think you mean Micheal Moore or Oliver Stone.

commonsense63   July 21st, 2010 - 11:53 am

beckypbaker   July 21st, 2010 - 12:19 pm

I am appalled and sickened by your unethical attempt to stir up a very emotional topic – racism. How stupid do you think people are? The motivation behind the original posting of only a small clip of the full video demonstrates what an ignorant, bigot you and your blog(s) cohorts are. Everyone had a knee-jerk reaction to your original post which, of course, was what you wanted to achieve. I watched your interview on CNN last night and the one this morning on GMA – you cannot even make a logical point in the simplest of debates on this issue – not even an elementary point as to why you posted a partial clip of a video and now "Riehl" has tried to "analyze" Ms. Sherrod's psyche claiming she is racist and marxist? Just stop it!

The absolute best response to your ignorance was Rachel Maddow's broadcast on MSNBC last night. Read the transcript – several times. There is REAL logic in Maddow's response and guess what? The majority of people believe the same way she does!

You have, quite simply, have given a wake up call to the Democratic base, centrist Democrats and Independents to shake off any apathetic attitude they may have acquired during the difficult economic time we are going through as a country and realize it's time to start shaking up the conversation about the real motivation of the Tea Partiers and you right wing nuts! Applause!!!

beckypbaker   July 21st, 2010 - 12:44 pm

Delta is correct. Breitbart should apologize to Ms. Sherrod for an obvious smear based on his own ignorance. Lincoln, do you know the history of the NAACP, why the organization was started, why there was a need for such an organization? In addition to black and white Ms. Sherrod also included Hispanics in her talk at the NAACP regional meeting (check the full video – it's there). We are NOT in a post racial society and everyone knows it. Our country is still very immature in the way we have not had a logical and reasonable national conversation about race and ethnicity. This is a highly charged emotional issue. As a country we are making progress, but it is coming slowly. Breitbart's post of the partial video clip and his lack of providing any logical explanation as to why he did it shows his ignorance and actually exposes his bigotry. It was a smear against Ms. Sherrod, period. He knew how quickly it would become viral and that a knee jerk reaction to it would happen, especially because the "race subject" has been a hot topic in the news of late with regard to the Tea Party movement.

Nothing is going to stop Breitbart from posting his ignorance – not a lawsuit or people like me writing a comment to a post or replies to a post. He just didn't count on media outlets practicing good journalism to quickly show his motivation for the post. By the way, I one of the "white" people.

Thank you Delta for your post!

Crystal McCoy   July 21st, 2010 - 6:45 am

Lest we all forget that the late Senator Robert Byrd was a former member of the KKK, and I don’t see any posts about that on this site. I’m sure that he also had a point in his life where he didn’t treat someone as fairly as he should have. However, according to Andrew Breitbart only White Americans, and not Black Americans can change their attitudes toward one another. One must then conclude that the shyster who posted the partial video of Shirley Sherrod is obviously a bigot too.

Bre   July 21st, 2010 - 6:45 am

Andrew is an idiot. He didn’t even have the decency to apologize to this woman on GMA this morning. He is so concerned about the NAACP encouraging racist and people viewing the Tea Party as racist but he is showing how racist he really is. I don’t believe everyone in the Tea Party is racist but is has served as magnet for attracting racists. The sad part is that there are people out there of all ethnicities that are still operating on ignorance, fear and hatred based on someone’s skin color or social class. Get over it and focus on the important things in life.

kimmer   July 21st, 2010 - 8:14 am

Idiot. This is what we accuse the left of and now you have done it.

Jim   July 21st, 2010 - 9:16 am

Brietbart == liar!

Al   July 21st, 2010 - 11:40 am

One thing you can be sure of, no apology will be forthcoming. Andrew has zero sense of right or wrong. He only knows how to lie and deceive, and the media was stupid enough to let him and Fox get away with it with O’Keefe’s Acorn video. Even the Associated Press (who should be ashamed of themselves) in their story about this, the farmers and the full video, mentions the Acorn scandal and the end of the article but completely omits any mention of how it was a total fraud – everyone had too much fun with O’Keefe’s pimp act to pay attention to the fact that the story was bogus. It’s only a matter of time before they try this same shtick on someone or something else they cannot tolerate. God forbid they should actually just acknowledge the truth once in a while – that’s what this story is all about. They cannot bring themselves to admit the tea party has been infected with racism from the beginning, the very idea burns them up so much they seek instead to point a finger – like 8 year olds in a playground. Pathetic.

NOQTR4TR8RS   July 22nd, 2010 - 10:05 am

"The NAACP has no interest purging racism from their ranks… they depend on it."

Their very existence, their wealth, their influence and their political power all VANISH if racism and class envy in the U.S. were to end tomorrow. The same is true for the Democrat Party. Thinking persons will take that for what it's worth.

NOQTR4TR8RS   July 22nd, 2010 - 5:26 am

I am amused by the "outrage" expressed by so many here at Breitbart. He is a well known, activist conservative, and so his website, understandably, leans conservative. Can anyone here recommend a source for totally unbiased, unfiltered news, with no hidden agendas, where the political affiliation of target audience is not even considered? Of course not.

Breitbart is to be commended for exposing this racist in our government. However, he could have done it far more effectively had he posted the original edited video, with a link to the entire video, along with an appropriate headline, from day one. By posting the video without sufficient context, he has made himself a large part of the story, taking the focus away from the real issue, which is the pervasive racism, bigotry, and socialism in the highest levels of out Federal government.

Breitbart's actions aside, I have listened carefully to the entire video, and several things are clear. This woman is still a supporter of a racist organization. She is still a racist herself. She is a socialist. And she has an axe to grind. These things are antithetical to our Constitution and our founding principles, and therefore make it impossible for her to fulfill her oath to the Constitution, and to the American people.

I can certainly understand why she would harbor racist opinions as a result of her upbringing. After all, she has personally suffered at the hands of racist bigots and corrupt, overly powerful government officials. Nevertheless, her own actions in office, her support of the racist organization NAACP, and her own testimony to that organization confirms that her interests lie with the betterment of her race, and of her socioeconomic class. We must insist that our public servants, regardless of their own biases, concern themselves exclusively with the betterment of American society as a whole regardless of race or class, to unwavering adherence to the Constitution, and to one hundred percent equal treatment under the law, without exception.

The administration is now back-pedaling, so it now appears that Shirley Sherrod, a proven racist, and a dedicated socialist, will still be highly placed in our Federal government. And that must be unacceptable to anyone who wishes to see an end to racism and socialism in America, and who wants our Constitution and founding principles upheld.

Carrie Prejean does not have the power to pass laws or make policy or approve loans. Ms Sherrod DID, and she was a RACIST.
It's OK for Prejean's opinion to be held against her, though, because YOU don't like it, YOU are a bigot, and YOU don't feel anyone has the right TO THEIR OPINION, RELIGIOUS BELIEFS OR MORALS if they differ from yours.
Look in the mirror, and see the BIGOT.

siserv   July 22nd, 2010 - 2:08 pm

@borch1260 That was just stupid.

siserv   July 22nd, 2010 - 2:16 pm

She wanted people to look at haves vs have nots, not the way she looked at it when she did not go all out for the white farmer and then only referred him to his own kind for help. We will never know who the real farmer is. She did act racist and we do not know all the people she was racist to or helped partially because they were white or not at all. Her cases would have to be reviewed. If this were a white person saying this stuff reversed she would be torn to shreds by now. Since it is a black person speaking of hurting whites it is not looked down upon by this administration or the liberal media.

siserv   July 22nd, 2010 - 2:20 pm

When you say you watch rachel maddow and she had the best response we immediately knew how stupid you were.

Scott   July 24th, 2010 - 8:20 am

But clapping on the first and third beat isn't wrong. It's just different. I know plenty of people from church who only clap on the first and third beat, and they don't find anything wrong with it at all. This is called generating a controversy when none exists. Do you think it is wrong that white people clap on the first and third beats?

Scott   July 24th, 2010 - 8:21 am

Considering her father was killed by a white person who was exonerated by an all white jury in spite of a mountain of evidence, her she has shown great strength and fortitude of character to move beyond her bias.

I am pretty sure that if my father was killed by a black man who was exonerated by an all black jury in spite of a mountain of evidence, I would probably be very distrusting and angry at the whole black race.
