When gay rights clash with religious rights, religious rights should trump. More abstractly, when a constitutionally protected right clashes with a law-given right or or an executive order, the constitutional right should trump. I expect the Roberts court will concur after some years of abuse by the likes of this woman. Her efforts will only serve to steel the resolve against her cause. I hope religious institutions disregard any efforts to force them to submit to practices violating their free exercise of religion.

But the other 90% of Americans are heterosexual and if not conservative, at least not radically bent on the complete deconstruction of our society. WE are the people whose views need to be upheld. The thought of more job inequality based on race or gender (or transgender) quotas is absurd.

Fact: For thousands of years human history has overwhelmingly agreed that some behavoirs are normal and other behavoirs are not. Reguardless of one’s faithview, science tells us that in order for you and I and the others to be here on this earth two other people had to behave in a normal manner and not otherwise. No matter what angle they try to justify their behavoir, it is just not practiced by the majority.
