This guy has raised a valid point. But calling all Tea Baggers "dumbasses" just because most of them are, is inappropriate and counter-productive to his campaign to wrest the senate nomination from GOP lackey Jane Norton. When I was in the military, having my children born in foreign lands, my local newspaper posted birth notices too. Birth notices are based on submitting a statement with whatever details you wish to include. Birth notices are not verified, they assume you are telling the truth. The existence of birth notices is not proof of where a person was born. You can claim you were born on the moon and there is a high chance that it would be published.
The grandmother, living in Hawaii, could easily have wanted the births listed as local, knowing full well that they were not. The mother could have requested a local posting of the birth, from any country on earth.
