McCaskill did a fine job of requesting assistance from Homeland security when they needed it most after Hurricane Katrina. Wait a minute, now that I think of it, she didn’t request assistance from Homeland security and actually threw Pres Bush under the bus for not violating federal law and sending in the military before the state government formally requested it.
Wait a minute, she didn’t throw Pres Bush under the bus because they were sitting idle in a parking lot in New Orleans empty while the populace looted and blamed whytie for blowing up the levees. I don’t think she took a very strong position on the exploding levee conspiracy.
