Let’s get a grip here and remember that it was McCain who wrote the comprehensive immigration reform bill. Obama knows that and he knows that the GOP put McCain up for POTUS so do the math. McCain writes the law, the GOP supported McCain with the knowledge that had he been elected the law would have been on top of his priority list, therefore Obama has to only wait it out.
We all know where Obama stands and what he wants as he has told us so since day one. It is the GOP that is the enemy here and it is they that must be replaced at the polls before any meaningful resuscitation of the United States can begin. RINOs like Kyl and McCain are likely worse than the Democrats in that you don’t know exactly where they stand on any issue at any point in time. The Democrats are rock solid where they stand as has be evidenced with Pelosi and Reid.
Isn’t that the Chicago way? Always wanting something in return for doing official duty. Pay to play. Regardless of the damage to the country, wring every bit of political advantage from each crumb of power.
Regarding Obama’s weekly address, it could have been Bush making that speech, which amused me greatly. Every executive complains that the opposition party is holding up appointments and legislative agenda.
On appointments, blanket opposition to judges and others appointed started with the Dems. Obama is complaining about having to lie in the bed he himself made. Republican obstruction of appointments, which are supposed to be the presidential prerogative, would bother me more if Obama would occasionally nominate someone who is not a transnational progressive intent on instituting radical changes which all loyal Americans should vehemently oppose, and at least two-thirds of them do.
As for Obama’s legislative agenda, I consider it the solemn duty of my elected representatives, indeed all who have taken the oath of office and are sworn to uphold the Constitution, to stop most of it by any legal means. Therefore if they are thwarting him, I applaud them. Often the best you can ever hope for from Washington is gridlock.

I suggest it is McCain, who was almost POTUS, and who would have pushed the bill through is the problem and he and Kyl and their worthless minions are the ones that should be held accountable and have to go. With them pushed into the dustbin of history Obama will be forced to spend his last two years in office partying, playing golf/basketball and writing his memoirs while real Republicans write bills (at risk of veto, sure) and defund his insane spending programs.
