The unspoken statement is that because you disagree with abortion, no one else should be allowed it. What if others have a moral or religious problem with the way you live your life? Where does that sort of thinking end? We have to step back and control our own lives, lead by example and try to speak rationally with those we feel hurt by.If someone acts against gods will, let it be god that sorts them out.

Yes, thats a potential life, but what sort of pontential life would that be? It wouldn’t be the nice life like you or your kids have. If all those children were not aborted, they’d be a heck of a lot more: welfare moms, teen moms, child poverty, child neglect/abuse, etc. If we could magically stop abortions, who’ll take care of those unwanted kids, you? Abortion is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

The real problems started when senators were allowed to be voted into office the same way the House members are
voted in. As soon as the states gave up their right to appoint a representative to act on behalf of the state
legislatures on a federal level, the senate became no more a supporter of states rights than the house.

Without the two houses competing against each other, we have collusion of the two which is never a good thing.

Repeal the 17th Amendment to the Constitution and watch how the issue of the 10th amendment all of a sudden
comes into play a lot more often. Along with the re enforcement of the 10th amendment will come closure to a lot
of the current issues we are faced with today.

With the 10th amendment back in play, many more issues would be decided locally rather than nationally, and all
of a sudden, the phrase “gees, don’t make a federal case out of it” would once again have meaning!

Although this issue goes far beyond opinion, Thomas Jefferson warned about morally bankrupt people like Sen. Feinstein.

Here is why the USSC’s legalization of abortion was a major constitutional scandal, IMO.

To begin with, given that the federal Constitution is silent about abortion, the 10th A. automatically reserves government power to regulate abortion to the states, not the federal government. So the USSC was wrong to ignore state sovereignty in Roe v. Wade.

Next, the problem with the USSC using its “magic glasses” to find abortion rights in the “wild card” 9th Amendment, applying them to the states via the 14th Amendment is the following. John Bingham, the main author of Sec. 1 of the 14th Amendment, had clarified that the 14th A. applied only constitutionally enumerated privileges and immunities to the states. See for yourself.

“Mr. Speaker, this House may safely follow the example of the makers of the Constitution and the builders of the Republic, by passing laws for enforcing all the privileges and immunities of the United States as guaranteed by the amended Constitution and expressly enumerated in the Constitution.” –John Bingham, Congressional Globe (1871) http://tinyurl.com/y3ne4n

So based on Bingham’s words, the only way that the USSC could have applied abortion rights to the states through the 14th A., IMO, is if the states had amended the Constitution prior to Roe v. Wade to expressly protect abortion rights.

Also, in stark contrast to the USSC finding abortion rights in the 9th A., note that when Bingham officially clarified the scope and purpose of the 14th A. for the HoR, he read only the first eight amendments as examples of statutes containing rights which the 14th applied to the states, ignoring the 9th Amendment altogether.

So the USSC’s so-called “right” to an abortion is an example of a constitutionally nonexistent right, IMO, scandalously established by the abuse of judicial power, as opposed to by state legislative powers to amend the Constitution like all of our other constitutional rights were established.

Finally, consider that while special-interest justices wrongly usurped 10th A. protected state power to regulate abortion to legalize abortion, the Court chose not to interfere in the Terri Schiavo case, citing the Founder’s division of federal and state government powers. So corrupt justices are unwittingly practicing a double-standard with respect to arbitrarily respecting state sovereignty, IMO, as evidenced by so-called abortion rights and Terri.

Of course, she does. If these morons want to pay for abortion, why do not they get a collection together and pay for them. Well, I forgot these liberals are selfish with their own money. They are pretty good at spending ours. Of course, the irony is they do all the tricks to avoid paying them.

I agree with Feinstein, taxpayers do pay for a lot of things they don’t agree with.

But other than true “economic public goods,” most of that could be stopped.

Let Feinstein and her ilk contribute their own money to Planned Parenthood to make abortions available to those who can’t afford them.

Likewise, I don’t want to support the National Endowment for the Arts and I see no reason why I should. Let private contributions and paying customers fund the arts.

I imagine there are things Feinstein doesn’t want to pay for, and except for public goods like national defense or a justice system, I would probably be in favor of getting govt out of them and making them subject to voluntary contributions, as well.

Her comment really goes to the corruption of the career politicians, where they logroll each other and wind up creating programs that would never be adopted on their own merits. Basic Public Choice 101.

If this travesty gets passed, and some people here and there withhold a portion of their taxes and go on record to explain that this is in order not to fund the abortion aspect (which would be cooperation with evil from a moral perspective), the government will come after us. But if enough principled people (which seem to be lacking in the Senate) band together and if a large percentage of the American people stand up and say WE WILL NOT FUND ABORTION, withholding that portion of our taxes, then the government will have no choice but to back down. And there are far more people who, in principle, are opposed to using tax payers’ money for abortion than those in favor. Being for or against abortion is one thing; being forced to pay for someone else’s abortion is an entirely different problem, and a grave one at that!

You can be conservative and be for abortion, not everyone believes that it’s the taking of an innocent life and God will punish us… My wife would’ve died had our baby not been aborted.
