What gave them away, Dick? Was it the hastily printed signs using magic marker on white card board with a painter’s stirring stick as a holder? Was it that they each drove themselves and their families to the rally? Was it that they were law abiding?
When the protestors showed up at the AIG director’s homes several months back, what clued me in that they were being orchestrated was the fact that they were ferried around in nice leased air conditioned busses and had signs printed at the union print shop. SEIU? Couldn’t be!

Just one case in Michigan…with John Dingell…when the father brought his son with cerebral palsy…whom he had taken care of all his life with the help of his insurance…his private insurance…not government insurance!
In the “government run” healthcare system, Dingell is promoting, he tried to tell the people that a provision was there…but the people are not dum! They have read the bill, even though Congress has not!
They know this boy and others with special needs will not be covered. It is saying to this father and mother and millions of them in similar circumstances…that you don’t care about their son and his needs. That you would rather he go away…die off…than spend money on!
And you expect the crowd to remain docile…unresponsive…not agitated?

I am a senior citizen, an employer, a long time taxpayer and concerned citizen. I am NOT a paid Acorn “volunteer” or a Union member. As an employer, I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in “contributions” to Social Security and Medicare, not only in the funds contributed from the gross pay of my employees, but the matching “contributions” I was required to pay for each employee over the years I have been in business.
Now, at the time when I am a senior and may need the services of Medicare, I am told that at my age, I need “end of life counseling” that my health services will be limited depending on my age and physical condition. I am told that Medicare funds to which I have contributed will not be used for MY healthcare, but will be transferred to assist those who do not have health insurance, including “resident aliens” whether legal or illegal along with those who have chosen NOT to purchase health insurance.
For many years we have been told that the unfunded liabilities of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid run into trillions of dollars, that these programs are “broke”. yet this new healthcare bill places these programs in danger of collapsing by taking billions of dollars from the existing programs to partially fund a new program. I have read the bill, which most of the Congress proudly says they have NOT read.
Americans! Say NO, tell your Congressman NO, tell your Senator NO and tell President Obama, NO.
I’m with doogle, when Obama and his folks dump a big steaming pile of manure on me and then try to convince me it’s french vanilla ice cream, I’m officially motivated.

Clearly he has not read the bill, diminished payment to Medicaid DSH is littered throughout HR 3200 [ex,759-763 to name a few]. I noticed reduced payments earlier in the bill, unfortunately, I only circled them as opposed to recording them. By the way under the family planning services, sec. 1714 p. 770, although not stated, many states include abortions under this heading, as well as the morning after pill. Refer to the bill and the Social Security Laws. Do not let these misinformed politicians lie or as they say put a spin on what is covered in HR3200. As far as the other bills, I have started reading them now. Read the bill. Possibly this bill will not make it to the floor. Hopefully the others are not as ambiguous.
Sadly, now the rest of the country is seeing what kind of morons we have running Illinois.

I have never been to a Town hall meeting until last Thursday at the Castor meeting.I had never heard of the SEIU union until last Thursday. I was beat up and embarrased by these goons for trying to keep a door open!

It seems to me that Republicans simply don’t want town hall meetings to take place. There is no interest in asking any questions; they are purely throwing tantrums until it is canceled.
That’s fine by me, they have no choice about heath care reform, it’s coming whether or not they want it. If they don’t want to be informed about the actual details it’s their loss.
People keep crying about this and that, but the bottom line is you don’t have to participate in it if you don’t want to. We are far behind the rest of the modernized world in caring for our underprivileged, this is just one small step in the right direction that our President will take.

My question is how will we solve the health care mess? The price of health care is escalating at double the rate of inflation.
We are already paying for the uninsured and will continue too. Over time more and more people will not be insured so those of us currently have insurance will pay more and more for those who don’t. Where does this end?
I don’t see any of these people who are complaining about Obama’s plan presenting any alternative. I just see a bunch of people in a heard mentality wrapping themselves in flags and demonizing anyone who even presents a change.
Reminds me of all of the Dems who supported Regan only to find after he busted their unions that they were left out in the cold. Some people are so blinded by party allegiance or racial fears that they can’t see what’s in their own best interests.

Dick repeatedly fought against any attempt for liability reform. Many doctors, especially Neurosurgeons, left the State of Illinois. The running joke was to avoid driving in the bottom 2/3 of the state, as there was virtually no coverage if you were to get a head injury down there. Your chances of permanent brain injury were much higher, due to the time it would take to transfer the victim to a place that had a neurosurgeon. The neurosurgeons were paying over $200,000/yr in liability and couldn’t make ends meet in the more rural 2/3 of the state. The state has a cap now, but it hasn’t brought back many of the skilled doctors that left. The liability insurance really hasn’t decreased, as the caps are repeatedly overturned in Illinois.
I don’t believe for one minute that Dick cares the health of the people in Illinois. I vote against him every chance I get. I would find a way to make it to the voting booth if I had a 105 fever.

So then there is a part of the bill that prohibits abortions being paid for? Not at all. The only way to stop abortions from being paid for is to stipulate that abortions will not be paid for by this bill. Lacking that then sure enough abortions WILL BE PAID FOR by the US taxpayers BY FORCE.
