No one feels entitled to unemployment and it’s not only your dime you jerk*ff. I’ve paid plenty of dimes and I didn’t ask to get laid off. I’ve been looking for work and get even get a fast food or retail job because I’m over-qualified. I can build multi-million dollar information systems but am over-qualified to flip burgers and run a cash register.
You’re right…no one owes me a dime. Just give me the dimes I’ve already paid into the system and we’ll call it even.
BTW, I don’t want to pay for your fire and police protection or the military (and I’m a Navy vet), so stop spending on those because no one OWES you protection and use the money to help your neighbors who need to eat and pay their utility bills.

There is too large of a price tag on this and all the bills that the dems are trying to pass. Look at all the earmarks and special project funding in the bill. Hundreds of millions of dollar and please don’t say millions are nothing. It is something to a person out of work. There is a better way to fix the economy and it won’t cost so much. What is the statistic now, over 25% of America are on some sort of food stamp or government welfare. Sen. Bunning has his heart in the right area and hopefully the people will see that. Either way he is retiring so it won’t effect him, but it will his seat.

Dear Joe R. at 11:50 pm…first of all thank you for your comments. They were informative and no one disputes that there are those Americans in our Republic that need help.
You need to go back and read my comment carefully and you will see that I am not against funding additional unemployment insurance to those who need it!
What I did say, and why I agree with Jim Bunning, is that someone has to stand up and stop the deception that is going on in Washington.
What I mean by ‘deception’ is that they take a very necessary piece of legislation (continue funding of the unemployment funds) and put it in with something that is ‘pork’ to get it passed. It is dirty politics as usual in Washington in these desperate times, and they are still using their lies and deception to do what they want.
The Congress just passed a piece of legislation that makes them ‘pay before they pass’ and Jim Bunning is attempting to hold them to this bill…just passed.
It isn’t that Jim Bunning wants to stop funding for unemployment for millions across this Republic and in his own state…it is just that he is trying to reveal the hypocrisy of this bill and the Democratzi ‘loons’ trying to hide something!
So people please read what he is doing…it is for your benefit. He is trying to make the Congress fess up and be honest.
Harry Reid, and his other Democratzi ‘loons’ have been sending through bill after bill (TARP, Stimulus, Omnibus, JOBS bill, etc.) with no time to read them because within their pages are hidden secret deals and briberies.
They want their ‘government run’ healthcare to pass…so they come out on TV and tell Americans we want ‘all’ Americans to have health insurance and then proceed to chastise the opposition to ‘government run’ healthcare as if they don’t! But within their bills is funding for abortions and insurance for illegals, etc. But they are using key words and phrases to persuade you that they are right…and they are wrong!
Everyone agrees that ‘all’ legal citizens should have healthcare, but we disagree on how to go about it!
Now he is doing the same with this bill…appealing to the masses to make you think that Jim Bunning and others don’t want you to have any more unemployment.
That, too, is a lie! They took a very important, and needed, piece of legislation and combined it with others.
They are bypassing the very bill they just passed to make sure the funds are there before they spend. They are breaking their own laws.

If you want to go against someone, try the Democratzi ‘loons’ who promised $3 billion/million dollars to Louisiana for their vote.

First of all Joe R, of course I have a job, second of all Wucs, I do not live in my mom’s basement, I do in fact own my home (value $375,000) it has a basement, and incase you care, 4 cars (value $60,000) 21’ boat, 30’ camper, and I have a nice nest egg of about 650K.
I started working at 14 years old washing dishes after school 7 hours a day 6 days a week making $2.10 an hour. My old man split when I was 5 leaving my mom to raise 4 boys never taking welfare or “unemployment” and never got a dime of child support. I never went to college, and have spent the last 23 years working on straight commission in a sales job. I know a little something about motivation. Hunger is a great motivator!!!!
So for all the people sitting on their butts whining about getting “extended” benefits, that is my issue. If you earned benefits, then fine sit on your ass and milk it, but once they are gone, don’t expect for me and the other producers to support the useless eaters of this nanny society. I don’t care about you anymore…We are broke, and the end has to start somewhere, so now is a good time…Sorry pal, life sucks…Deal with it.
