If they are illegal they have not been tested and can possibly be carrying drug resistant TB – in many cases that is why they sneak into the US – for health care they can't get in Mexico. I would point out links to historical data, charts, etc. that correlate economic improvement with lower taxes. I might even point out that the 50% rate was in effect when Reagan took office. Reagan along with the Congress worked to lower the top rate to 35%.

But rather than pointlessly expend time and energy on trying to change an unchangeable mind –I've gotten old enough to realize that I should not waste my time applying irresistible reasoning to immovable beliefs– I have to first ask, are you convinced that people fortunate enough to make good money should be punished by increasing the percentage of the results of their labor which is seized by the government, or should excessive government spending be curtailed instead?
