Use your own brain to draw your conclusions. Don’t let the entertainment industy do your thinking for you.

This is no different than being a Christian. If you go to work and don’t drink don’t cheat, don’t watch porn, don’t lie, or don’t bear false witness then they treat you like the plague. I am an independent filmmaker who happens to be a conservative and I made a 35mm feature narrative film that shows the Vietnam Veterans as heroes in 1990. The people that run this town came after me as if I was a war criminal. I was blackballed and prevented from my little independent film reaching the public marketplace. I ended up suing a distributor, putting him out of business and for that you don’t work in this town. That is a fact. I have been fired and laid off from jobs because I speak up and will have friendly debates. The porblem with leftist malcontents is that after a certain time they get tired of losing the argument. At this post house that I worked on the grave shift all conservatives are now gone. They whacked us one at a time. They can’t come out and fire you for political opinions, but they can shift people around and find any excuse to fire you.

I belong to three conservative Hollywood groups full of actors, writers, producers etc. We all have to meet in secret for fear of job securrity. Lots of people join these groups to find fellowship, friendship and a way to break this fascist mentality of the leftist cult of malcontents. Why don’t we see a 25 year old conservative filmmaker making 80 million dollar films funded by the studios. You will NEVER EVER see with these animals in charge a American filmmaker who happens to be black directing 80 million dollar films that promote christian ideals that is funded by what I call the “Hollywood Mob”. This is happen to me with my film and now I am selling my DVD directly to the public and I am not dealing with the Hollywood system. I spent years dealing with distributors, they are all crooks, I have called them legalized gangsters to their face. They are not professional, the bottom line is that they will steal your income stream so you end up drying up on the vine. Hollywood is the land of the intolerant and if you speak out againt their agenda or make a film as I did, where I dared to show Americans as heroes during the Vietnam war. The only why we can break this blacklist is to find private funding outside the system to produce and distribute our own product directly to the public. Mel Gibson proved that the market is hungry for positive, pro-christian, pro-American films and all the leftist know how to do is attack and fire you out of a system you want to work in.

Actually Obama is giving Bush credit for initiating the bail-out that helped stop the bleeding. The economy looks pretty good right now. Things don’t look too bad in Iraq and Afghanistan considering the fact that they could look a lot worse and he hasn’t turned tail and run like all the conservatives predicted. A lot of Taliban and al Qaeda members have been eliminated as well.

A close friend of mine, whose name I will not reveal here, is a well know Broadway star. He/she has echoed to me the vey same sentiments that Mr. Klavan and posters Jack Marino and “misanthropicus” have said here. If this friend of mine ever dared “come out of (his/her) Conservative closet”, that would be the end of a career.

I quit watching any show that is anti- family, christian, moral, ethics and anti-hetero. Won’t watch blood and guts shows, don’t watch shows about drinking, drugging or abuse. They can go broke, the sooner the better.

I loved “The Bill Cosby Show”…..Everybody Loves Raymond…..and The Chevy Chase “Vacation” shows. They don’t have good writers anymore, the scripts are crappy, politically biased, leftist agenda and never funnnnny. The reality shows are mostly pimps and prostiutions of one kind or another.

I watch educational channel……but prefer to read (no commercial pimping).

I know a lot of people who only watch certain shows……and when the kids are home they watch NO TV!!! It’s all garbage!!

Yes….we know. Hollywood is full of communist. Amazing how no where in the world that they could make the money they do, and at the same time spread hate about America. They want global this and Global that…climate change…and feed the world..yep. I’ve lived in Los Angeles for over a dozen years working in the film and tv business. My ex-roommate was working on 4 network shows and consistently had to ‘fake’ being a liberal or he felt he would lose his job. In the writing room, the most vitriolic, anti-Bush, anti-conservative comments are made. If you don’t join in…you stick out like a sore thumb and people get ’suspicious’. This comes out in story lines as well. When plot and story decisions are made, the show runner who lays out the arc of the season’s episodes is always a liberal. Plots have to follow a predictable liberal bias or else your story has no chance of being picked by the show runner to get made. It’s ridiculous. Someone with a bag load of cash should come into Hollywood and fund a competing conservative-slanted industry…from top to bottom. Tv, Film, Development. If Rupert Murdock or some other investor had the guts to do that I bet you’d find that some of the biggest names and best talent in the industry would jump on board and then you’d start hearing all kinds of repressive stories that everyone’s experienced in the current ‘leftist’ Hollywood establishment. It’s gotta happen some day…conservatives have a lot of money in this country and if they support films and tv programming that mirrors their beliefs…the industry will have no choice but to follow the money.

If you’re buying tickets to their crappy movies or copies of their lousy DVD’s, CD’s and or books, you are funding your own demise!

This country has always been just right of center in ideology. The problem is the Right are not mouthy, not boisterous, not antagonistic enough. There has to be more people in the industry that are true conservatives but do not admit to it. They probably tell their peers that they do not get involved in politics to avoid the issue.

Why can’t the conservative artists, filmmakers, actors, etc…go find their own Hollywood start making good stuff instead of the drivel that is churned out every week. Why in the world is someone not pushing ‘ATLAS SHRUGGED’? huh?? Now that is going to be a great movie. There is enough conservative money out there to promote that….ahhh…the left said so. We have all the money and all the evil corporations and businesses are conservatives,,didn’t ya know.
I watch little TV because of ridiculous content, never go to watch a movie and seldom rent them. Sex, violence and general mayhem rules anymore and I am not even religious.

These sniveling conservative Hollywood Christians need to take a lesson from Islam and the ‘Muhammid-in-a-bear-suit’ incident with ‘South Park’. I don’t know Jack Marino, but his experiences match the true Hollywood criminal mentality – get this – FORTY YEARS AGO. And it goes back further than that. Independent filmmakers have always been fleeced by distributors. The accounting practices have always been a scandal. The power of the mob is so great that no investigations are ever made. Indeed, launching a lawsuit is professional suicide. If you sign a contract for a percentage of the gross, GOOD LUCK, CHARLIE; you will never see the money. Now, regarding the liberal bias, Hollywood-NY-Toronto, it’s all the same story. I wrote episode screenplays and movie-of-the-week screenplays in Hollywood-USA and ‘Hollywood-North’. Pure bilge filler would often get a ‘pass’. There have always been good writers out there, with integrity and heart, but they have it very, very hard. The same thing applies to novels rejected by big publishing houses. I was also a literary agent for books in the 1980’s, so I know that side of it also. In the content of entertainment, any positive viewpoint of the Christian faith, at all, will get shot down. As for Mel Gibson’s PASSION OF THE CHRIST, he knows better than anyone that he was given enough rope to hang himself; THEN SURPRISE – IT WAS A BIG HIT! Proof? You would think, after the phenomenal success of that film, there would have been copycat Christian Bible epics. No way. It was just not going to be allowed. Now Mel got into a lot of trouble for making some comments by the side of the road about a group who obviously DO CONTROL HOLLYWOOD, and HAVE CONTROLLED HOLLYWOOD from the time of the silent films. When I got into the business in 1971, I didn’t believe it. I thought the people who whispered the truth to me about the situation were ‘prejudiced’. How naive we can be. Look into the real history of this particular group for the past hundred years in every area of commerce and culture. Prepare to have your eyes opened.

I live in Silicon Valley here in N. Kalifornia. I have only lived here for short time. Living with these people out here in the Bay Area is like being the only non-drugged person in a cult. I don’t drink their Koolaid and they don’t like that. If you don’t agree with them you best keep your mouth shut or they will single you out and discriminate with you. I don’t go around bringing up subjects as I don’t need the hassle but if you have lunch with anyone out here they will make sure to bring up something like Global Warming, Al Gore, etc to see what your response is. If you go along and agree with them then the conversation will move on…but if you disagree with them then they will never leave that part of the conversation to ‘move on’ finally if they can’t get you to suck down the Kooliad they may probably just say something like “well I just don’t understand you, how you could think that way”.
