This is a good thing folks. I don’t live very far from Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is one of the most liberal cities around and actually rivals San Francisco for the most idiotic liberal city. Santa Cruz touts itself as a nuclear free zone! Maybe, just maybe (but I doubt it) this will teach these liberal progressive commies a lesson that thier own leftist and socialist/communist practices and communities are no more than a nice, palatable word for anarchy and self destruction. Sooner or later, the far left mindset breeds its own demise. I would love to see more of this in SF and like minded cities.

Having said this, I would add that one of the things that truly concerns me in this current atmosphere is the stance taken in support of the illegal immigrants by people like Gloria Estefan, and others like her who previously came to this country legally. Why should today’s immigrants be treated differently?
Indeed, I have nothing against those who want to immigrate to this country, whether they are from Mexico or any other part of Latin America. I embrace their ethnicity and admire the work ethic demonstrated by many of these people. But as always has been the case in the past there is and must remain a legal basis for entry into this country.
Illegal immigration must remain just that, illegal. Those who currently are in this country illegally must be dealt with in an orderly and legal manner — sans amnesty or special treatment — with an opportunity to apply for legal status.
One final note. Thank you Arizona for doing the dirty work for our gutless, ne’er-do-well federal office holders in the US House and Senate. All of whom, by the way, should be voted out of office for gross dereliction of duty to their constituents.
