If their privileged lives have been destroyed, they did it to themselves with their publicity seeking actions. Perhaps the fact that they are involved in 16 lawsuits may give an indication that they are troubled people, desperate to seem special.
Congress needs to immediately make a law (and I don’t like too much Congressional interference in our lives, but in this case I’ll make an exception) which disallows anyone doing what they did or any publicity seekers (the balloon boy parents) from accepting a cent from the ensuing publicity. Why should they get paid for breaking the law and subjecting us to their nonsense?!!

The one thing I noticed is when they came out for the photo-op, their names were mentioned. How did the person announcing them know who they were?
