Obama will not debate Rush. I don’t think Obama believes himself ready to debate a world leader on live TV. Anyway, that’s too transparent a forum for Obama.

I am no fan of this administration but I beg the President not to lower the prestige of his office even further by becoming part of the sideshow that talk radio has become. Nobody on the air, liberal or conservative is about solutions, They are just carnival barkers…talking loud and drawing a crowd so the weight loss industry can sell their snake-oil. Before you fall for this ratings ploy, please, for once in your political career, think beyond the next election.

Harve, you obviously don’t listen to talk radio much, your characterization was stereotypical and false – that you would even try it on this crowd shows a lack of discernment (most of us listen or watch these guys, and know exactly what they say and do). Rush was there before Obama, and he’ll be there after Obama, and his “approval numbers” (i.e. ratings) will always be high because of the truth and solutions he offers daily (in contrast to Obama). From taxes to Healthcare to just about any other issue, these guys take it on honestly, examine it critically in light of the Constitution, and offer an informed opinion that reflects the way most Americans feel on most issues. Their satire is funny because it is based on truth – not spin, lies, or insignificant twaddle (like SNL). Frankly, Obama (our SERVANT) should count it an honor that Rush would even consider debating him and RISK the ratings (if you haven’t notices, people are tired of BO’s face). Obama is a first term lame duck, and that is hard to do.

Rush, don’t lower yourself and pollute your show by giving air time to debate one of those seminar callers that are so annoying. We know what Obama is going to say, even before his teleprompter tells him.

Get the biggest venue available like a football stadium. Lead in with a Hannity & Colmes reunion as dual moderators, throw in Glenn Beck and his polar opposite (whoever THAT is), with ALL proceeds to go to charity, or against the deficit, or Haiti, tax refunds for the bottom 50%…WHATEVER.
