At my progresive focus group meeting this morning we asigned a member to read Palins book Ruogue so we could take a non biased intelectual view of her world. I though am pesimistic because of the many reports of Palin and her family. Is her little Down’s syndrome baby really her daughters first child? Did another daughter have a afair with the NY sports player? Is it true about the sex tapes she sent to a boyfriend? Is it true that her husband shoots baby polar bears when hunting is not allowed? Maybe these things are OK but in my progresive intelctual world we ask questions that need to be answeured. I’m looking forwar to next Sunday when my fellow progresives meet agin and discus her book

Let's say it correctly: principled observers (Rush, Breitbart, et al) of current events offer a perspective on those events that comes from their principled angle. Filtered truth, perhaps. But filtered through a lens of tried-and-true principles.

You might try looking at events from such a mindset some time. It will jostle, and perhaps shatter, your world view. For the better.

Interesting posts. There are a few that make vague references to mine , but none that debunk the facts that I bring up . Again , I ask (1)why did Palin lie about releasing her medical records ?(2) What is she hiding ? Couric and Gibson asked her relevant questions ; Where do you get your information / what newspapers do you read ? What do you think of “The Bush Doctrine ?” ( respectively )What is so biased about these questions ? They are questions that ANY informed politician SHOULD be asked and be able to answer. Simply put , Palin couldn’t answer these questions. Now , she’s trying to deflect her inept interviews by blaming the McCain staff. Actually, that’s not saying much. Rush Limpbrain’s choice of reading probably consists primarily of comic books. This book contains 68 pictures (Rush must like that since they don’t require reading) and no index. It can hardly be called a scholarly work. But then again, people like el Rushbo (with his 13th grade education) have little use for knowledge. Facts, figures, and data that do not agree with his simple conception of the world are due to the work of “elitist academics” and not to be considered.
