He did not believe in getting involved with government which is of man.

Christ also said that “there will always be poor” and that he was not of the earth, and true riches abide in heaven, not earth. He said, “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the gates of Heaven” thus illustrating worshiping money over God was not good. This was the CHALLENGE of the rich man.

He said charity to others would be rewarded, and encouraged man to “love one another” and “do unto others as you would want others to do unto you.” But he NEVER said “take by government force individual wealth and redistribute it among the poor.”

I’d like to know what percent of HIS income this “Reverend” gives to the poor. Many Christians I know give a tithe (one tenth), as well as offerings on top of that, to help support their church and its benevolence funds. We give to our communities’ amulance and fire co. drives. When disaster strikes in our communities, we give directly or to places like the Red Cross. We do it voluntarily out of love. It’s not confiscated from our paychecks under penalty of law. We can see how our tithes and offerings are being used, and hold accountable those who are entrusted with it. Yes, the Bible tells us to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, but it doesn’t say that it’s the government’s responsibility. Individuals are to take care of their own families and neighbors, not those of the whole nation.

II Thessalonians 3:10 says: “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

I Timothy 5:8: “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

Redistribution of the wealth was never instructed to be done by Jesus Christ in scriptures!

Jesus instructed HIS followers to take care of the poor and hungry…never a government of a nation! That charge was given to the followers of Christ.

Today we have the Salvation Army, The Purple Heart and others that have continually fed, clothed, and housed those of the poor. Every denomination has also done the same. My denomination has a drug rehab program, an unwed mothers program, a food pantry, etc.

Perhaps, his denomination does not do these things and maybe he should start one to start doing the instructions given by Christ. This should have nothing, nothing to do with government!

It is not their charge to take care of the poor that is the responsiblity of individuals and churches. And all administrations prior to this one have always recognized what individual denominations have done for years on behalf of helping the poor. That is why we have the ‘faith initiative’ programs that we have to help them financially to help the poor.

So if you prayed today that your government would take over the charge given by Christ to HIS church…you were praying in the wrong manner. You should have prayed that GOD would help your denomination and you, personally, to do what you can to fulfil the charge that GOD gave you and them!

Jesus would never approve of a government doing HIS charge…that is our responsibility and Americans of all faiths have always done everything they could to do just that.

Keep praying America…GOD is in control in all things…he sees tomorrow…we only see today…we trust HIM…we believe HIM…we pray to HIM that HIS will be done in our country, our world and in our lives!

For all those who propose redistribution of wealth, Mr. Obama, and the Dems., perhaps they would have a moral authority if they, with their millions, gave 1/2 every month to a fund to help the poor. Their desire to level the field by redistributing wealth only encourages those who do not want to work for what they get to depend on the government to take care of them. They are telling everyone don’t work hard, don’t go to school, don’t take responsibility for your own actions, we, the government know it isn’t your fault. We, the government, will take care of you forever. It isn’t your fault you are poor. It is the evil people who did work hard, went to school to improve their ability to succeed, etc. I can understand there are poor people who really need assistance but to stifle the desire to better ones self, to work hard, to get an education, etc. isn’t the way to help them. When did it become evil to improve ones self and to work hard? No, this government, especially the Dems. want the power to enslave the people to become dependent on them for every aspect of their lives. We must help those you cannot help themselves but I question the promoting of class hatred. So, again, when these people who want to redistribute wealth give up their wealth and begin to live as the average person without all the perks they enjoy, then perhaps, just perhaps they would have a leg to stand on. Just as it is in socialist and communist societies, those in power live very, very well while their people struggle just to survive. What has Hugo Chavez done but throw a few crumbs at the poor in his country but still they live in poverty. This is true of N. Korea, Cuba, etc. So their people have not benefited from their version of redistribution of wealth. All they have accomplished is to stifle freedom especially freedom of speech.
